View Full Version : Theoretical Third Game in the Series.

As we have the seemingly stand alone title of Orcana of Time... and the complex tale of Majora's Mask, is it possible to add a third game to the series to complete what hasn't been done in one another? Such as make a game that is more based on more exploring...
I have a theory on how to make 3 games aligned.
OoT had Link in Hyrule....
Many of you know he gets transformed back into a child and meets up with Zelda as a child.
I think he is to return back to the forest in which he came... only to get mugged by Skull Kid.....
As Link had to revive the town of Termina, he set out to find his friend, Zelda again, but his travel to Termina would bring him all the way to another place far from Hyrule...
Leading to the Hypothetical land that he encounters to try to go to Hyrule, The game should compose of Tough decision making that can give you an easy path or a long difficult path... and if you choose the easy path... you suffer for your feelings of indifference.. making the feeling of choice be a key factor and have free reign on what to do first, much like Zelda 1. The game would give the feeling of you trying to earn your freedom of choice, and if you loose, you are sent to the city where everyone lies in a lazy daze of indifference as lives are lost, and the need to do anything dwindles to nothing.
You are more than willing to post your own theories, I just wanted to bring up mine... Please Share and state what you think about the theory or to make a better one.

this looks like it should be in the timelines section but I could be wrong.
Anyways yeah I think this is very possible I"ve always though that MM came right after OoT also and this seems like a great Idea coming back to the forest and being mugged by Skullkid all seems logical I think it'd be a great idea^^

I think it sounds like a pretty decent idea, but I wouldn't put it in that same place. Child Link went on to Termina after he was sent back as a kid. Thats what adventure he had at that point. And of course, everyone knows Adult Link dosen't exist anymore past OoT.

Hrmm.... Quite a nice idea. I like the idea of having a third game around that time. Maybe something a little different. I like the exploring though.
I thought, (from what I have read only) that TP is the third one. The whole Spirit of the hero or something...I though those clues led to think we're watching a new OoT sequel. I could be wrong though. And if that's not the case, I'd love to see a sequel to OoT...:)

Great theory. I do think a third game would be awesome. I don't think that twilight princess is the sequel to OoT.

Then you apparently haven't played too much of TP, but there are countless references to it being a sequel to OoT. That is not something that anyone would argue because those references are so obvious. Even the main point of Ganondorf in the storyline is a cause of what he done in OoT.

I don't like to believe that TP is the third game.... because it doesn't have direct references to Majora's Mask or OoT... just another Zelda game... (though it is my favorite.)

Many believe that there is a connection between the fused shadow and majora's mask, thus connecting the three games, but that, will always remain a mistery, or will only be unraveled by a "4th" game...
But yeah, there are countless references to OoT in TP, without any doubts

I think there is three games in this part of the timeline. The first being not oot but zelda xv (zelda 2010) and actually if you look closely at the concept art of it you'll probably notice that link more resembles oot link but with tpish graphics. And why before oot you ask? Because my guess is that in that game it explains the hylian civil war and that the link in that game is oot links dad. and second the figure behind him is likely connected somehow to the master sword. simple.
