What did you think of the Razor Sword in Majora's Mask? It did twice as much damage as the Kokiri Sword did. You had to pay the smiths 100 rupees to upgrade your Kokiri Sword to the Razor Sword:

The bad thing about this sword is that it will convert back to the Kokiri Sword in 200 swings.
I never really used this sword at all. I upgraded my sword and played for awhile, and I didn't know that the Razor Sword converted back. Eventually I saved and shut off my system, came back, and it was gone. I thought it was a glitch, and learned on the internet that it disintegrates after a while. That was about the end of it, and from then on I just made it into a gilded sword and forgot about it.
I liked the style of the Razor Sword though, I would have liked to have seen this sword be maybe 1.5x as strong as the Kokiri Sword, but permanent. Then have the Gilded Sword be a bit harder to get, and 2x as powerful.

I think it's the best looking sword in the series. It's just cool looking.
the guilded sword had a really lame design (as did the mirror shield....well, maybe not lame in this case,...it was just plain stupid and ugly), but the razor blade...oh man that one kicked ***.....that should have been the strongest sword in the game....

Yeah I agree. I'd like to see this blade back in a future game. Longer, more powerful, cooler looking.

I thought the Razor Sword was pretty darn cool, but of course, they couldn't allow you enough time to have fun with it. It wouldn't last long enough to go through a dungeon, and if you save, it disappears, so it's like "well, the Gilded Sword is better and you get to keep it". But still, the Razor Sword looked really cool, although I kind of wished the cross-guard wasn't round.

I really wish the Razor Sword didn't "disappear" after 200 or whatever swings. It's one of my favorite sword designs, and yet it was so worthless in the game. It should definitely be brought back in one of the future Zelda games.

I tend to dissagree. I thought the Mirror Shield was perfect for the game. Granted, it was pretty strange, but Majora's Mask was supposed to be strange, dark, weird, and mysterious. The Mirror Shield fit the game perfectly IMO. But that's just me.

I hate that Razor sword Because it converts back into the kokiri sword after 200 swings
and i never won the goron race and got the powder so i just never wanted to waste money
Screwed up 100 not 200

I know what you mean. I agree taht it sortf of fits this "strange world" that is termina, but have a boohoo kinda face in it, at least they should have added a little story to it. Maybe some spirit trapped inside or ...who knows....something.....but for no reason at all...haveing that ugly face.....doesn't work for me.....:)

I actually dont really care about the swords looks... I did like it for the damage and I used it all the time. It made the game a little easyer for me ^^
I think it would be neat to see it in a new Zelda game.. maybe without the 200 swing damage thingy ^^

I did like the Razor sword a lot, and its a shame you can barely get to use it in this game, because it was pretty sweet looking. But to be fair, Link can get the razor sword in SoulCalibur II, and its permanent in that game :P

yeah the razor blade was probaly the coolest sword in the zelda series as what i have seen, they should make a new game and with an upgraded version of it (meaning it was a bit longer, didn't break and you kept it) i did hate it when i figured out with my brother that the razor sword broke so annoyed

Yes! It looks nice. I donīt tend to use it that much though, frustrating with a sword that doesnīt last is my opinion.

It is cool looking, and I admit that I never used it, but the Great Fairy Sword is awesomer:D

True. I never really liked the power od the Razor sword much. it was only double, and not really so much better becuaseo f that. and in my brothers MM game, i was 100 slashes before it broke. bleh. Although, the Razor sword itslef look really cool. Imagine the damage that could do if you rammed it in something, and then twisted....ouch. When you think of using it that way, it is good, but really, you use it just like a normal sword, and it looks cool, but is only oduble damage.
I would have found this sword better if it had been stronger, then again, it would cost more and take longer, no to mention that, oh, the fact that it would be OVER powered. Maybe it should have been 1.5 stronger, not 2 times the normal kokiri sword. I woner what the Kokirir would think of the Razor sword?

I never liked the Razor sword cause I could only use it 100 times and I'm always using my sword against the wall then I realized that you could only use it 100 times and I got so mad:mad:.But then I was so glad that I got the Gilded sword after

Although I don't own a copy of MM, I think the Razor Sword is the coolest. (next to Biggoron's Sword)
Too bad it wears off after a while. :(

I think that the Razor Sword was the coolest looking Sword in the game, Infact it is one of the coolest Sword in Zelda, Thats what I don't get with Zelda, The more powerful the Sword the more unattractive to the eye it is. The Great Fairy Sword or whatever it is called looks pretty bad in my opinion but on the other hand it kicks ***.
The only exception is the Master Sword, The Biggoron Sword was alright but it wasn't that cool looking.

I didn't like the razor sword that much.... it reminded me of an oversized kitchen utensil. In any case, I did like that you could upgrade your sword, but I didn't like that you had such a small amount of time to use it.

It looks cool, as I said earlier, but I still prefer the Great Fairy's Sword.
MM is probably the Zelda game with the best looking Swords.
Unfortunately, MM's mirror shield is disgustingly horrible

Before MM was released, whenever they were revealing official art for the game, and even through to today, the official art of Link that I see most often is this one.
http://www.ganonstower.com/link_sword2.jpg
I remember seeing this particularly a lot during the game's release. It was as if this was going to be Link's new most commonly used sword. But it turned out to be, in my opinion, just as worthless as the Giant's Knife in OoT.
I think they should have definitely kept this sword around for a bit longer. The Guilded Sword really doesn't look great, but it is more powerful. It seems to me that Nintendo was just trying to get as many side-quests out of this game as they could, since there was a lack of dungeons. The Razor Sword's lifespan could have been shortened simply because they wanted to make another side-quest out of getting an even better sword.

I once tried to shave with the Razor Sword: it didn't work out, I almost cut off my head! At least it lasted longer than those other razors. After 200 uses it suddenly disappeared! Poof! It was gone.
Seriously though, the Razor Sword was one awesome looking sword. I'd rather have the Razor Sword than the Guilded Sword. If you have a Gameshark, you too can enjoy the refreshing feel of the Razor Sword. It has two blades for optimal trimming- ... Err, sorry, I got a bit sidetracked there. Anyway, it's great and deserved more love. Let's all make a <3 for our dear friend Razor "4 in 1" Sword.

I think that the razor sword looked awesome. But other than the first time i played the game, i never used it (cuz i knew better). Just jump to the guilded sword, the razor sword is not needed. I think that the fact that the RAZOR sword DULLS is stupid. U should upgrade the sword in the mountains, and then again in Ikana. There should be 2 smithies. In Ikana you should get the guilded sword. and get the gold dust somewhere other than the goron race track

I thought it was a waste of time, really.
I mean it would just become the normal sword again and really, that was a waste of time and money. I didn't really like the design of it, either, I dunno, maybe if it was a little longer.
I disliked it so much that I didn't even bother to get it, either.

I personnally thought that the guilded sword looked cooler. Also I foud it interesting that the Hylian Shield was too biig for Link in OoT, but not in MM. Mabye he had one custom made?

I just thought that he had grown a little more in this one, after all he did look kinda taller than the Young Link in OoT and in part the Kokiri sword looked even shorter to me.

i only think it was good because it got you one step closer to getting the gilded sword (which is the only good thing in the game) :D

I've had bad experiences with it.:( After I got the razor sword I played the song of time and didn't know it would convert back. I couldn't believe how much money I wasted. :(

You can completely skip the Razor sword and get the Gilded sword; that's why I never bothered to get the sword after the first time of course.
When you play, you will get the gilded sword and of course, the mirror shield.... Simply to beat the game (easier).
However, The razorblade should have been switched with the gilded one. I mean, which one is cooler?
As for the shields, I liked the mirror shields from OoT (the silver one with the cresent!) and ALttP, MM shield as darn ugly!

i like the look of it and use to use it a lot until i found out how to get the gold dust. But its upgraded form id have to say is better
I was replaying MM recently and I noticed that the Razorblade had one gold edge in the game, where the artwork shows a metal color on both sides. I like that better, gold is nasty! As both swords have gold... Either stick with the Kokiri blade if you are cool, otherwise grab the Gilded one, whick stabs better I think.
You should return the Kokiri blade to the Kokiri in it's original form I think...

Well, after having nearly 100% the game, with only a few heart pieces to go, I have attempted at using the Razor Sword before. I did think that it was an interesting blade, but the downside is that you can only use it for 48 hours or 200 swings. I did get confused at one point, thought the Razor Sword was the Guilded Sword, and tried to Song of Time it. Yeah, that wasn't a wise choice. I figure the Razor Blade is only useful in things like boss battles when you don't have access (and/or knowledge) to the Guilded Sword. I mean, I honestly thought the Guilded Sword was a way better deal than the Razor Blade.
Swords like these make the Kokiri Sword (Which I swear, if Adult Link used it, it would be a dagger to him) look pathetic. I mean, its sad when a stick can deal more damage. Yet, when you think about it, the Razor Sword is worth the price, yet it isn't also worth all of the time that it takes to make it. I mean, if you were to complete a dungeon with it, then it would be bad if you made it up to the boss and have it turn back to normal (In fact, based on all of the puzzles and enemies, it would convert back way before the half point of all of the puzzles).
However, when you really think about it, it is the Kokiri Sword that has more nostalgia than the Razor Blade, seeing as to how that sword went through two games, even though it had a random change in design in three months. So, when you really think about it, the Razor Sword isn't all that bad price wise, but taking a day off of exploring a dungeon can be a bit of a downer. Unless you Inverted-Song-of-Time it.
Getting the Razor sword only to beat the boss of the snowtemple (which you usually beat as a rolling Goron anyway), seems quite some work. You still have to rely on the hot springs and you'll have only two days to clear the dungeon because the sword is ready at dawn of the second day.
It's all sort of useless, but it made the whole puzzle (to get a sword you can keep) a bit more fun / complicated/.
Still, I think it's weird to borrow something and have it reforged.

Well the Razor Sword was a great looking sword and it was a bummer that it only lasts a hundred swings.
They should make a better version of the Razor Sword and make sure it lasts.
