This is a very self explanitory thread. What do people recognise you for, and what title would you give yourself based on that?

I think I'm known best for my " Heyy all!" line. Based on that, I'd give myself the title Double Y, because of the 2 y's at the end of "Heyy"!

At school I'm best known for walking fast in hallways, but it's completely natural, so I crowned myself speedking of the halls.
As for on ZD, my infinite cucco army. Now a title for that, well I'll let others decide.

I have no idea what people know me for. (I could use some help with this!)

I do frequently correct grammer and spelling and I am now one of the "spell checks" of ZD.

I have stopped copying your "Hey all!" And I didn't say it there for copyright reasons :P

If we are talking about school. I'm known as the "genious" And "Mr. 99"

interesting thread. kinda like the "describe a member thread" but then different and also based on your real life.

At ZD i'm known as so many things: Grumpy, Strict, Awsome, Nice, Helpfull, Sometimes annoying ect... So basicly its kinda mixed.

With my Personal life:
Well, i'm lazy but still do my responsibilities.
And with School, well i'm crazy and sarcastic even against the teachers. I always say my opinion. Sometimes I joke around. My Classmates think that i'm kinda weird/unique/different then all other "normal" people. Because i don't act like a stereotypical guy, that i have a different taste of fasion and music then most others and that i like japanese things. But i don't mind it, in fact i like it when i'm different then others. Because thats ME!

Here on ZD and on other internet places, I'm known as a crazy person, a guy who loves LotR, and as.... um.... What else.... Mostly just as a crazy person I guess.

In real life, I'm known to be very quiet at times, or very random and energetic with some of my really good friends. I'm known as sort of a tall person I guess. Even though I don't think I'm that tall.... I'm also known for my interest in Tennis, playing the piano, my faith, and my love for video games. =P

That's about it I think...

-Randomly shouting "Naked babies!", "Jimi! I love you, Jimi!", "OH MY GOD! IT'S GONNA EAT ME. ", "ACK!", "Oh my bajebus."

-randomly singing "Miss Lucy had some Leeches", a very creepy nursery rhyme from Emilie Autumn

-Glomping my friends randomly

-Dressing up super gothic and telling people that Jesus loves them.

-kissing my male friends (NOT MAKING OUT) to piss off old people

and a lot of others that I can't think of right now. ;P

I am known for being wierd and awesome. Even at the same time!
Among certain people, I am known for bringing up the most useless thing that happened to someone like 9 years ago.
As of late, I am known for my German (Sorry, agan, Smitie)

I was once known as the gipsy, later I was the "chandal". Some people called me lazy over the years and someone said once: When El Bagu was created God was sleeping! But people tend to like me, that´s nice.

In the University I was known as the frogman.

(When I worked in Germany a chief used to call me "wannabe spanish")

Well, for quite obvious reasons, lots of people call me "Mr. spell check" here at the forums. Besides that, well, hopefully people see me as a just moderator ;).
Outside of ZD, I'm known as a notorious tree climber, a book worm, and very good at math. That's about all I can think of right now.

Here: I don't really think I have a title, and I don't think I'm really known for a whole lot. I've been told a few times that I'm nice, and a good mod, but that's about it. :)

Real Life: I'm the typical otaku. Some call me a nerd, but that is a mistake. I am also known much for my hobbies in video gaming.

Perhaps I could be known by my over-usage of smileys, especially the normal ":)". I'm just a happy person, I guess.

My reputation here isn't that good. I'm mostly known as a smiecht/meanie, but people call me awesome sometimes :). I'm also known for using a lot of smilies and dutch talk in the shoutbox (they even complained to mases :O)

In Real life, i'm more known as a bit weird because of my games hobby and daily 'forum hanging'. My friends don't know a lot about this forum though. My mom calls me lazy most of the times.

Do you know how many smilies I had to post to earn such a title? ;)

I can't think of much for myself, actually. I'm known for being Tom's girlfriend, and Amelie's "giant me". Hah! I'm also known for changing my avatar/signature practically once a week, or multiple times in a week. But for now, that is all I can really come up with!

I think I'm best known as Mrs. Caleb here.
In real life...I've had many titles - "the slow eater", the "skinny one", and the cat lover. I can't think of anymore at the moment. I dislike having titles most of the time. I don't really mind online, because there is no real basis for knowing someone, but in real life, it's much better to be known for who you are and not just stereotyped.

Similar to Mist, my title at ZD would prolly be "Hanyou's Girlfriend". xD

According to Mases I'm also "Oh, your the one with the cat the-thing" Which is pretty accurate, actually.

I've also been called "Pokemon girl" threwout my school career, which isn't as bad as I use to think it was. >.> I'd prolly be like "You bet!" now. College makes you shameless like that.

I totally understand that. I don't want to be known for my physical features. While I don't mind being acknowledged as "skinny," I don't want that to be an issue with everyone else. It was always irritating and still is sometimes, where people become exasperated with me because I am thinner than they are.

You can start now by calling me Supreme Overlord, or just, God, will do.

No but really, back in high school I was known for being the creepy loner who sat in the corner and never talked to anyone. It was all an act, but no one knew that. I got my kicks out of creeping people out. I don't know if they had a name for me though.

In college I'm known as Smiles.... because I never do. Why would I? School is no fun. You don't smile when you're not having fun.. unless you're strange.

You should be proud of yourself! The world needs more Smileys . And I am serious in spite of the smiley I used. If you see a smile from a person you lighten up yourself. Ok, some tv hosts have smiles that are a bit too much and I guess somehow they can be almost disturbing. But all and all, disturbing or not the effect they bring is more positive then negative so it´awesome :D.

Mases
03-13-2009, 03:44 PM
I'm known by a lot of things here at the forums.

Mases - From Everybody... I think people think it's an alias but it's really my name.
The Red Guy - From Onilink... and I think blackice.
Meanie - From Dabombster and Josh.
The Magnificent - From Caleb.

There are also a few self-given names.
The Lord of the Flies
The Clairvoyant

I'm sure there are more, but that's just what I can think of off the top of the head.

In my personal life, I'm known for dozens of things, depending on which crowd you are talking about.
-I was the class clown during much of junior high.
-Mini-Me (Friend from my 8th grade basketball team)
-The chess nerd in high school
-The boy from the other side of Shermer Avenue (neighborhood friends growing up)
-Useless (my dad)
-Known for spending hours and hours at a time on the internet. (Mom and Dad hate it)
-The Umpire - (By kids that know me because I umpired their little league baseball games.
-"Blue" - By parents of the kids that I umpired.
-Mas - Most of my casual friends called me Mas.

This is going to sound strange but....

Bones and dead stuff.

Honestly. People, friends online and off, it's what they know me for. Whenever anyone sees bones and skulls (animals, usually) they tell me they think of me... People come to me when they've found an interesting bone/dead animal/part to ask how to go about cleaning it...

It has to do with what I do as art form. If you go to the first site on my personal website or my DA page, you'll see. I enjoy finding bones while out on walks and such, cleaning them up and painting them/making them into artwork. I've actually sold some of my bone art, and worked on commission. I don't sell often enough, though - my house's walls and shelves are covered with completed pieces, I've never been able to get this stuff into a fancy-schmancy gallery - though I've tried, and like everyone seems to be these days, I could use money. I would love to thin out my "graveyard" a bit.

But, yes... the first thing my friends think of when they see a dead animal - Me.

More and more lately, I have been known as the "Photographer." I have been the local paparazzi for years, but lately, it's becoming more obvious. I take photos as my "job" for the local youth group. Online I'm your vocal conservative Christian; I'm also rather pessimistic about the quality of the public school system and just about whoever happens to be in power in the US.

Used to write on all such subjects quite a bit on my blog, before I got too busy...

IRL though, I'm more the kid who doesn't conform to social standards. My favorite color is purple, I don't care for fashion (keep it simple and clean) or comebacks or being "in" on the latest jokes and puns of the year.

Most of my friends also think I'm athletic, although I don't really agree. It's rather odd, but it's hard for me to get "out of shape." As such, I'm half-decent in just about every sport I've tried just because I can react faster and run harder than the typical guy.

I'm also the smart 16-year-old kid at the community college. I'm easily in the top three in all my classes (not to show off) so a lot of people tend to say, "Oh, I remember you! You were the smart kid in chem!" Sometimes I wish it wasn't that way...but I hardly even have to try to study and I get easy A's; it's not like I'm working my tail off to make sure I'm at the top of my class, it's just most of the other students are is...I'm not sure how to say it...lazy? Unmotivated?

Which brings me back to the condition of the public school system. Better get off my soapbox before I talk too much.

I'm commonly known as the graphic genius around school, but on the internet, most notably the smart ***. Often whenever someone is insulting me or my opinions and beliefs, I'll return the favor with "wise-guy replies". Being a Christian, that happens quite often, hence why I like to just avoid religious debates all together.

That's not to say I'm a total jerk, in fact I'm not, but I don't take kindly to invasions of my views, though I do not overreact. I often point out spelling and grammatical issues as well, so I'm also commonly labeled as a "Grammar Nazi". According to the staff page here at Zelda Dungeon, I'm also "The Cool Dude", so it's good to get recognition for that too. ;)

I will say however, I have been called a ****** before due to my politically correctness and honesty. Such as critiques where many are upset when they get only negative criticism, and not praise. I do this because in the real world such complements are rare, and most will only point out flaws, and it's up to you to to decide to ignore it, take it as an insult, or choose to use it as a way to improve your methods.

Another thing is how I come into a shoutbox. I'll usually put in a weird way of getting into it, such as "*falls in*" and "*turtles in*". I always do that for fun.. :P

The only title anyone ever assigned me in real life was "The Machine." Mainly it was because I was extremely compliant towards my teachers, and always made sure I was following the rules. I also often ignored other people when they spoke to me, and spent all my time either in-transit between classes, doing classwork/homework, or studying material for a class. I never did anything extracurricular, took any AP classes, or showed any interest in interacting with others beyond what was required for a group assignment (in which case I'd often convince the group to let me do the entire assignment in order to ensure I'd get an A). This came across to many people as mechanical, because it seemed as if my sole focus in life was to get my diploma as quickly and efficiently as possible... which it was.

The titles I've given myself over the years include:

Protocol Droid
Lawful Neutral
Paradigmatic Partisan
Paranoid Paralysis
Decay Sovereign

I think that my main negative traits are a tendency towards stagnation, paranoia, and apathy towards strangers. My positive traits are mostly related to persistence, compassion towards certain people, and curiosity.

I'm known for many things.

In real life, I'm known as "The Sarcastic, know-it-all, fat man." I am very smart, and people tend to make fun of me for it. I also have a keen sense of anticipating and guessing the attitudes of others. My classmates stay away from me for that. I learned this through observation, and the basic rule that I have learned throughout my entire life, everything has a pattern. I'm also known for my bigness, no one can miss me and I tend to be mistaken for a girl, which I find completely annoying.

In my Net life, I'm known as K4, King, C4 and Kenji. I make friends around ZD, and these titles are named for me. I feel happy for that. I'm also known as the Man in the Shoutbox. I am always there, but I tend to lurk or tend to ignore it. I'm also known around ZD as the Invert, probably because of my timezone, and the place that I live. Day is Night, and Night is Day.

IRL I go by many titles and nicknames, etc. But online I have many other titles. Like Loki, I used that user name before on another forum I went to. Wonder why? Yeah, because I guess I was like Loki himself, a god of mischief, always teasing people around, always joking and making it hard for them to tell whether I was serious or not. I still am sorta like that, but now I go with other aliases such as Atsuma, Fire Lord, Quetzalcoatl, Crimson Demon and many others. I want to settle down now and hopefully one day I might call myself Saga, here or at another forum, if I decide to look for one.

At school I was generally known as the 'dictionary', just for the simple fact that I knew how to spell a lot of things and would correct grammar. Really though, I only did it because no one else could be bothered to do that type of work.

Online? Probably not known as anything since I tend to go to places and then jump between here, there and everywhere far too often to make a real impression.

I really started my online internet life at Zelda Wiki.org. On there I had become the best coding and template editor there. I was an admin, but had to drop the spot after receiving a personal injury , a nasty hand burn, and a few other personal reasons which I will not mention. Since I was extremely talented at template editing, one of the other main members there dubbed me the Master At Template Tinkering, which would shorten to M.A.T.T.
Besides that skill, I am also very well known, both online and off, for my incredible talent in mathematics. I was a better calculus teacher than my actual calculus teacher. I could finish three-day math tests in about a half hour, and ace them. Drove my fellow students nuts. Because of this skill, some people just called me Math. Some, many teachers, call me Mattematics, notice the spelling. So yup. There's me.

I'm known for being funny, random, easily angered, and short for people who know me. But for people who don't like me I'm usually called a female dog, fat, ugly, a lesbian, a homo ( I have a friend with homosexual parents and a friend that's bi so I guess that makes me homosexual as well.), weird, angry, retarded, mean, and violent. I've actually been called all of these things to my face or I've heard someone call me them when they thought I wasn't listening.

As for titles I'm known as Ice, Icey, Icy, Lipton, Rachael, Rach, and the Chancellor of Luuuuuv.

My name says it all. Though you could probably also call me Corny Person since I make so many unnecessary jokes.

Eh, I'm not particularly known on the Internet so I don't have many titles. I'm mainly the one that chimes in conversations with some random comment, be it relevant or nonsensical depending on how I'm feeling.

In real life, I was the art&theater geek/strange nerd girl who played weird video games and watched too much anime all through out high school.
People would ask me to do their art projects for them. I didn't mind, it gave me something to do. =)
And if we were doing group projects, I'd always be the artistic director, but I'd usually end up doing everything myself since I have perhaps too-high standards for things like that.

Other than that, I mainly stayed under the radar and floated around. I wasn't exactly fond of most people at school. Thank god that's over.

I've definitely always been that "art girl" throughout school; when we were voting for superlatives in school this year, people who I had never even talked to were putting me down as most artistic.... People who know me a little better think of me as the "sarcastic one" or the one with a "dry and biting sense of humor." I guess I can't really express that side of me over the interwebs, so I keep myself recognizable through art :) I'm not known widely for my video game skillz, but again, those who know me close know that I can be a formidable force with a controller >:D

I don't know for sure about on ZD. In real life I'm kinda the kid with long hair who always hangs out with Zack, Bentley, and Ethan and being very random.

Don't really have a title at the moment, but I've jokingly called myself "the math ninja." I tutor and have inadvertently acquired the habit of sneaking up on people when they need help. Am not sure how to fix that yet.

I'm also known for my love of books, considering all my years working in libraries and writing in my free time.
