Windows Vista runs fine on my Mac(it still has the random bugs and things) but are desk top runs it odd and its faster then my Mac

I dont know what is up with that ><

I have never heard of red hat before... whats that like?

the things I do on Mac OS X is... use the internet. Play games. Work on my art and school work.

I also have been useing it to help with my musik ^^

I like the OS because its easy to use and figure things out

Not very many viruses and no bugs that I know of and it runs very fast. It also hardly ever has random freezes or crashes that I used to get useing Windows ^^

I've had XP for quite a while now, and it's never given me a problem.

So I guess I'll have XP until my laptop finally dies.:D

My computer out here is a Vista, but back home it's XP. Both are fine, and I've never really had any huge problems with them.

So far XP seems to be more popular then Vista ^^

I kind of knew it would be that way. not very many people I know like Vista

My dad uses Vista for his work, and he thinks it's pure evil.

He's had so many problems with it, it's laughable.

I have vista on my laptop and XP on the home computer. I never had problems with vista, but I heard a lot of negative reactions about it.

Windows XP ftw. Vista....can't run as much. And if I had it, I wouldn't be bringing you the WW images right now. :)

If I was a big PC gamer I would take Vista...

But Im not so instead of useing a OS with clone MacOS X programs I just prefer the original thing

And when I used Vista it just seemed buggy and unreiable compared to Mac OS X

Thats why I kind of avoid it

Compared to other windows its not that bad though ^^

I use XP currently. My laptop came preinstalled with Vista, though. Vista is nice and all. The GUI has definitely been improved compared to XP. However, User Account Control drove me crazy. XP on the other hand has never failed me. :P

I know, I never understand why they say it's bad and all those things.

Because it uses way more ram then XP and Mac OS X. That laptop model you have is the same one I used to own with the same OS.

I just found Vista to be not much more then a XP and Mac OS X hybrid that used way to much resources ><

Its good that people do seem to like it though. I see its tide with XP ^^

My friends half sister has vista on a dell laptop and she says it runs fine but she has 4 gigs of ram. Most people have 2 or 3 I think so how good her PC runs should not really count. But I think it is true that most of Vistas problems are gone.

My father says XP ran really bad when it first came out... but I was too young to remember I think ^^

Uhhhh... I'm on Windows XP Media Center.. uhh... 2002 I believe. Yeah, old. I bought the computer in 2007, and it was a 2005 model... I was looking to go cheap. It's not a bad computer. Came with 1 GB of ram, a 250 GB hard drive... uhh, a really crappy graphics card... and some other stuff I don't know, or care about. When I get a decent amount of money, I'm going to build my own super computer, from the ground up, so I can be 1337....

Yeah, it is really nice. I get 1440x900.

I especially like it when playing games or running programs like Terragen or GIMP alongside other programs. The forums look good on it, too.

Your computers sound very nice! Lots of Hard Drive space.

When the new 500 GB HDD that fits in Macbooks comes out I might get it and put it in my laptop. Even though 250 GB is lots already... you can never have to much Hard drive space =D

Well, now I wish I could go back and change my answer, because I now use Ubuntu, a distribution of Linux. Its reliable, it actually has a program where all the applications are on there are listed in an organised catalogue. When they're installed, the applications menu on the top lists programs by their category (Games, Office, Graphics, Accessories). I'll post a picture of how it looks after school. Of course, you could just go onto the Wikipedia article and look at it there.

I remember I really liked Ubuntu when I tried it. Its actually lots like Mac OS X. At least I think so. Thats kind of why I liked it. I didn't keep it though... because I like Mac OS X fine and it came on my computer.

But.. if you have windows and want something new... but dont want to pay for a Mac. I think everyone will agree that you should download Ubuntu! ^^

Right now I'm technically using two laptops. One runs XP and the one I'm on right now runs on Vista. I'm gonna install XP on it though because as livable as Vista is, XP is just less of a hassle.

I have a Laptop that has Vista as it's OS. It has a good amount of memory, (but not enough for my tastes :P ) and an okay amount of RAM. I need to get more RAM for my laptop, otherwise it may end up crashing on me one of these days...
