I made this thread because I got these 2 books about zodiac signs. and I'm a Libra:)

Libras are very balanced and charming. They like fairness and peace in the world. Very intelligent. When they hold grudges they don't last long because they are very social. on their romantic side they always put thei rlover in front of them. they are also very outgoing and active.

Now I skimmed this from my book so it may not be as accurate as it looks ;)

I find zodiac signs to be very interesting.

I am a Libra, although, I take little interest in astrology, horoscopes, and zodiacs.

I find it a waste of time, at least, when people believe that astrology, horoscopes, or zodiacs can predict something, such as about your life or your future. The majority of the descriptions given are so open, it can apply to practically everyone. This is similar with horoscopes, which is given a title called "cold reading".

Keyword: "I balance". The Libra person is co-operative, diplomatic, sees both sides, open-minded, just, urbane, fair, partnership oriented, avoids conflict, refined, balanced, graceful, charming, debative, idealistic, egalitarian and sociable. They can sometimes also rationalize, be easily deterred, indecisive and lazy. Suitable occupations are where human relationships and a harmonious environment are important.

That information, I feel, is incredibly open-ended and can apply easily to anyone. It is easy to apply other zodiac traits to those who are even of that zodiac sign. Sure, it can be fun, but I do not think it should be taken seriously. ^^

Some of those fit me, while others really do not.

Im pretty sure Im the same thing as Lenora Dragon. And i agree. They seem like a waste of time. It wont predict me or anything about me or my future. They could apply to anyone.

Well to me the thing about Zodiac Signs, besides the fact that each one can apply to almost everyone in some way, is that they aren't always put they same way. I go to one site, and it says things that don't add up exactly to what I've read before. I've never been into Zodiac Signs, and things like them. It just seems like something made just so that you can feel good about yourself. Also as other people have pointed out on this thread, your Zodiac Sign doesn't really always describe you. I believe that in most cases Zodiac Signs just describe what you WANT to think about yourself, and not actual fact. If others read your Sign, a lot of the time they won't think that it describes you, even if you think that it does. So, like I said before, its just to make you feel good about yourself. IMO.

I read somewhere that there are 2 forms of the Zodiac signs and when they change. One of them said it changed November 16th, my brithday.

Which is funny because I love to *eat* crab.

I don't put stock on Zodiac stuff, though. As said before, the profiles and "predictions" can fit just about anyone. It's like fortune cookies - fun, but nothing to take stock in.

As far as Chinese Zodiac, I am the Goat/Sheep. Strangely, what I've read about the sign usually seems to fit me (aren't Goats supposed to be Artstic Temperment, emotionally turmoiled?) That's what I remember and that fits me. Again, I don't take much stock in it, and considering the Goat sign, I don't want to - from what I've read of it, it seems to be the "gets all the crap in life" sign from the Chinese Zodiac.

My star sign is Virgo, which apparently means I am a very logical person who takes pride in my work, to the point of perfectionism. I am quiet, reserved and dignified, which can make others think I'm cold and stuck-up. But I always want to help out and fix things, and I'm humble deep down. I also have a need to be always doing something.

Most of that is kind of like me. I take pride in things I am passionate about, I like to solve problems logically and I want to help people. But I'm not always quiet, reserved and dignified. I can be rather sensitive, and I'm quite open with my feelings. The "always doing things" comes and goes with me. Sometimes I'm content to just sit and daydream, but other times I have endless energy.

I'm a Virgo. The description matches my personality quite well, but so could a number of the other star sign's descriptions. They're pretty much designed so any person can project themselves on to it and be like "OH HEY that's me!".

I still find horoscopes fun to read, however.

Athough in this book I have it says your zodiac sign is actually based off 4 different things (Sun Sign (the one most people know/use) Moon sign, Assendent, and Sign in Venus) So according to that, I'm pisces/aries, which actually fits me more, even though they're pratically opposites xDD
I have elements from both shhh. But yes, Sun Sign descriptions are pretty open-ended anyway : DD

As for Chinese Zodiac, I'm a Dog~ *ish loyal*
Wood Dog, I think, the middle of the 5, anyway.

I'm a Virgo. I used to live in a neighborhood were the street names were named after these signs. I lived on Capricorn, but I think they had:

Capricorn
Aries
Aquarius
Pisces
