I just started over my OOT file and was in Dodongo's Cavern. After I beat King Dodongo and watched him sink into the lava, I was wondering about how gruesome King Dodongo's death was. After that I looked back at all the bosses and how they died. Almost all of their deathes were gruesome. So what are your ideas on this topic. Which boss do you think had the most gruesome death or which one did you feel bad for the most.

I dont really feel much for bosses, except hate whn I cant beat them. I wonder where the bosses come from?

Ganon makes them. I feel little or nothing for bosses, but King Dogondo's death HAD to of been painful, especially since he's stuck in molten-rock forever.

I don't care about bosses much. I think whoa that was a cool battle not get me out of here with my new heart container. So I really don't pay attention to their deaths.

I didn't think it was that gruesome. The only gruesom boss defeat, is in OoT. When you beat Ganon and he dies, he coughs up blood. Some people may consider that to be gruesome.

Agreed. Although Dodongo was merely uncincious whne he fell in the lava right? So he wouldnt feel pain from lava, seeing as how he can shoot flames, so surely lava cant hurt him ? Although, trapped under molten lava he wouldve slowly, agonizingly starved.....

I don't feel sorry for any of the bosses, but I wonder what Phantom Ganon is doing right now between dimensions(sp?) :D

Of course he's taking a bath with is rubber duck xd...Anyways, i don't feel pitty for any of the bosses, they all deserved to die!

A lot of the bosses needed to die! I mean, Ghoma killed the Deku Tree, King Dodongo almost starved the Gorons, Barniade was giving Jabu-Jabu some uneasiness, Phantom Ganon was terrorising the Kokiri, Volvagia was about to feast upon the Gorons, Morpha almost made the Zora's an extinct species and hurt Lake Hylia's tourist industry, Bongo Bongo almost destroied Kakriko Village, Kotake and Konume supported Ganondorf, and Ganondorf almost wiped Hyrule off the map. They all needed to die a slow and painful death! Only Twinrova didn't suffer a slow and painful death. Please, tell me how they went to Heaven, they should've burned in heck!

And Skull Kid, Phantom Ganon is now playing vollyball with himself in the void between realms.

I always thought he'd be practising his laugh. The one he had in OoT was horrible!

Volvagia had a cool death as well. A fire dragon catching on fire is pretty cool:D

I never feel sorry for the bosses after they die, for two reasons: 1. they were trying to KILL me! and 2. it's a video game.
There are some pretty gruesome scenes after you defeat bosses though. I mean, remember Barinade? It gets gigantic boil-type things everywhere, and then it explodes :yuck:.

well your right about barinade and I think shadow link was harder than most of the bosses I've battled but I'm only in karokio well so I"m not that far and I"m really gonna enjoy the spirit temple boss with the mirror shield I know that

I feel bad for a lot of things. Bosses were actually one of them.

OoT I've always found to have the most "gruesome" deaths, I guess Ganondorf was just more pissed in that game. And yes, Mr. Dodongo's death was pretty bad. Rolled into lava, gets stuck in hardening lava, dies in lava and stays there forever.

Not that nice.

Most painful death: King Dodongo
Coolest death: Volvagia
Funniest death: Trinrova (lol, they were aruguing )

Yes the most gruesome eath would be ganon for me.

But i really like the death of Barniade a well. Lets just say its quite unique.
he whole dungeon was inside a big giant figh and became ill because of a giant parasite, and link was like the ultimate pil to make Jabu Jabe better.
And then the death well, i dunno how to say it in words but its awsome how they came up with it.

King Dodongo had a painful death. first his stomach explodes several times then he rolls into the lava on accident because he's dissoriented by the pain and unrolls again while swimming in super hot lava (that has to hurt). I have to say the OoT bosses have a more gruesome death than other bosses. The bosses in TP for example (except for zant and ganondorf) simply explode.

The bosses were what disappointed me in the most in TP. Too easy and no painful deaths:D

I never had any sympathy for the bosses, but yeah I would say that Volvagia had the most gruesome/painful death of all; burning from the inside out until you fall into pieces, then your head burns off, and still you have enough life to partially close your eyes. Yep, that had to suck.

Adding to the most painful death with King Dodongo, Phantom Ganondorf!!!

I never really cared whether I hurt the bosses' feeling or not. I enjoy killing them and watching them die. OoT definitely had the most gruesome, and therefore awesome, boss deaths out of all the Zelda games. Especially the Barinade battle cause it was all splodey and it's guts flew all over the place. Epic. =P

Yeah, all the other games (however, I haven't played Majora's Mask yet) don't have enough gruesome deaths (With the exception of Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass. I forgive them. The game's graphics wouldn't mesh with gruesome deaths.), and I want my bosses to DIE a SLOW and PAINFUL death!

Oh, you haven't played MM?What are you waiting for?

Armohgohma in TP was a creepy boss and had a very decent death, i think it is my favorite one in the Game, also, Ganondorf has an excellent death

TP graphics beat that one I think. WW Ganondorf's death was cool, but it was TOON Ganondorf. TP Ganondorf's death looked cooler to me.

King Dodongo's death was gruesome, because lava is very painful, and I did feel bad for him, but I felt worse for Volvagia. I mean Volvagia got bashed in the head with the megaton hammer like 8 or 9 times and then he was so disorriented that he set himself on fire. Plus, when Volvagia's head falls off, it kind of freaked me out when his mouth moved.

As said previously, I don't really feel anything for the bosses, I don't particularly hate them, either.

i think that Ganon had a pretty gruesome death, especially in his final form. I mean, Link basically butchers him in the final cut-scene. In general it wasn't that gruesome, but for a Zelda game, I think it was.

I think Barinade had one of the most gruesome, maybe even more so than Ganon. At the end, he explodes, and leaves a green, gore like substance.

I never felt sorry for the bosses or anything. Most of them were just monsters, and the few that weren't were likely very evil.

Well... I take that back. I felt a little bad for Phantom Ganon. He/it was created by Ganon and then banished just like that. He obviously didn't care about it at all, and it looked like it suffered.

The most gruesome deaths in my opinion would probably be King Dodongo's and Barinade's. Seriously. What the hell happened there? O_o

Yeah, I generally didn't feel sorry for them. I just saw them as cool death scenes for evil monsters. Though reading this topic I did realize that several of the deaths were brutal, and I did feel a little sorry for Phantom Ganon, as I stated above.

The more you think about it. Isnīt it kind of bizarre that so many zelda bosses got their eyes as their weak spots. The bizarre thing is not that the eyes are sensible but that you hit em there!

Who feels sorry for a boss? I enter the boss room and 1 thought goes through my mind. " snuff the ******* out." What are we expected to do, give them a gravestone and a funeral?

Gohma gets stabbed repeatedly in the eyeball and then dissolves into dust. That would suck.

King Dodongo is burned and molten alive in a fiery pit. That would suck.

Barinade explodes into a gory mess. That would suck.

Phantom Ganon is banished into the void. That would really suck.

Volvagia gets her head bashed in with a hammer, then is burned alive. That would suck.

Morpha gets slashed alot then explodes. Probably the least harsh of them all.

Bongo Bongo is already "dead" so he doesnt count

Twinrova gets cut up alot and then goes.... to heaven? I would think that would be the wrong place...

And Ganondorf gets beaten up, pukes up blood, turns into Ganon, gets hammered, and dies by being stabbed repeatedly in the face. Yeah... that would suck.

So your definitely right, the boss deaths sure are pretty violent

I laughed when Twinrova was defeated but their bickering goes on and on and on and it did annoy me.I wish I could replay that boss, and I know some people that would re-battle that boss just for the ending. it was awesome.

I never feel bad for any of the bosses because they usually get the first punch and then I'm like, ''Oh, it's on like donkey kong punk.'' Haha! I usually celebrate whenever I beat a boss, it's like my glory day :) I'm on the Shadow Temple now, I'm really scared of it so it will be a big deal when I beat the boss. I will like throw a party ahaha!

I'd say the OoS one when you cut off it's head, and then all of the flesh flys off and the bones that are left crumple to the floor. (Yes, I know that I sound like a six-year-old typing this.)

I never really feel sorry for any of the bosses in the game, but then again I never really feel sorry for anything in video games. I do agree with some earlier statements where people said that OoT had some of the most gruesome deaths. Falling into lava probably isn't the best. And hey, getting poked in the eye isn't very pleasant, much less getting hit square on the bare eye with a Slingshot.

Well not all "burst", some disintegrated, but I think that's really just making use of the lava. And that's a really cool and painful death you gotta admit that. Although, now that I think about it, the one death of a boss that you have blow up bombs in their stomach and they don't explode? That is strange.

Dude, your bomb bag in the game is made out of a Dodongo's stomach. So, that adds some points on the why he didn't die the first bomb you throw inside of him. I mean, a stomach must be really tough to hold 30 bombs, and a bomb exploding.
