ALttP moon pearl help

Hi, I'm new here and am looking for some help. I've been playing A Link to the Past on gameboy advance and I'm stuck. I get to the room with the Moon Pearl but can't figure out how to get to the chest that holds the pearl. I've followed the walkthrough but yet it doesn't say how to reach it. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it!

You have to make the floor in front of it move back to the position that if you walk up to the edge of the pit you will not fall. Then you go to the floor above and drop down the hole that will put you in front of the chest. Luckily I just replayed that part. :P
