Pets?

Does anyone here have any pets? My dog passed away when I was in first grade. I don't know when my fish died. Right now I have a turtle. His name is scratch. He is a red eared slider. If I can, I will post a picture of him up here. He is the coolest little thing ever.

I have two Golden Retrievers, one named Sonny (Santino) and Maya.

Over the years, we've had a few pets. I will not count goldfish, because let's face it - they are incredibly difficult to keep track of as a kid.

We owned a rescued cat named Rascal, who actually died last year. She had lived with my grandmother after we moved, because she had wanted a new cat since her cat was put to sleep due to sickness.

We've also had a black Labrador Retriever named Buck, a black Labrador Retriever named Raven, a shelter mix named Einstein (who was adopted at 15 years of age, and we only had him for 6 months until the veterinarian told us he should be put down to untreated heartworms), along with an English Bulldog named Kitty.

We had owned two rabbits, which were given to our 4H leader when we left. Their named were Mickey, Abigail (mine), and Snowball. As well as two parakeets, which eventually died as all pets do from the pet store.

When I get older, I intend to own a dog (or two). I love the spitzen and would especially love owning an Alaska Malamute. We also have a Samoyed X Golden Retriever now named Sam.

I have two cats (both 4 years old) officially called Joris of the Lionking and Victor Willem of Torchham (but we call them Joris and Willem). They are both British Shorthairs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Shorthair). Our previous cat was Spetter and Tijgertje, sadly Tijgertje ran away after we moved to another house and Spetter was probably hit by a car or killed by a man who keeps pidgeons and hates cats :(.

Let's see. I have 3 cats as of now (all of them are orange colored), one called Tiger Lily (female), one called Orly (male) and one called Fozzy (female.) Yeah, maybe the last two are odd names, but I didn't help come up with them. There used to be another cat here, called Chester, but he died a while ago. We've also had kittens every now and then, but they all end up being given away.

I have 2 dogs, both boxers.

My male boxer is a brindle, meaning he has black stripes across his back, and he is named Bronco. No, not after the team, after his mother. I got him when he was 7 weeks old.

My female boxer is a fawn. She has a light brown coat and is very short, even for a female dog. Her name is Khloee, I don't know how she got the name, I took her in 3 years ago because her owners mistreated her.

Russian Blues are beautiful! I've always wanted a Himalayan (http://imeleon.com/photo/132/sitting_colourpoint_cat.jpg) cat (http://wwwdelivery.superstock.com/WI/223/1505/PreviewComp/SuperStock_1505-263.jpg) for some reason. They look like a ton of work from their long hair, but beautiful.

We don't have any pets right now. Sometime we'll probably get a fish or two. Right now we can't have pets in our apartment, and Caleb is allergic to cats and dogs. I have 3 cats at my parent's house and I miss them a lot :P Someday when we get our own house, I want to take those three, or whichever ones are left.

I used to have a dog named Pepper, but we had to put him to sleep because of a few issues with him. He was 18 years old, he kept peeing all over the house, and wasn't doing to well when it came to health.

My parents won't let us have another dog, cat, and pets like that until we are out of the house and live on our own. =\ So right now all I have is a beta fish...

I had a agapornis bird (http://www.lovebird.nl/picts/agapornis.gif)! I got it when i was 8 years old and had to give it away when i was 17 years old. So she lived 9 happy years with me!

She was a smart one. I would often set her free in the house. everytime when she needed to poo, she went back to her cage and did it always in the corner of her cage. If you was angry at ther, she would also be mad at you. She loved eating potaato chips. Also when my mom was cleaning the dishes, she would fly to the sink and take a shower and my mom became angry :xd:

The reason i had to give her away was, that she became sick.
She was a female and layed eggs once in a while (how females get her period)
But one time, her egg was broken inside her belly and could not lay it, as a result her poor belly became swollen and she was really calm and made this cute but crying for help noises/tjirping :kawaii:
So yeah it teared my heart when she was doing those noises/tjirping. So i went to the veterinarian and well luckly she was healed, but the veterinarian said that she was already a little old, and that this accident can happen more often. then i asked if he could care for her and the veterinarian said yes.

Because the veterinarian is really far away from my house, i didn 't want that she would die from broken eggs! D:

And my sister owned for a short time a white/gray bunny and a hamster, she had to give them away because she bought it witout premission from my mom and they make the house smelly/stinky. So yeah, no more rodents because they stink. Birds Rulezzzzz, maybe i will buy one in the future again. oh yeah we also had a couple of goldfishes.

I've got four cats ^^ And I love them so, they are my best friends...except if they scratch me xD

One is very old, 16 years I think, her fur is beautiful (three to four colors).
The other one is an attention seeker (afraid to use that other term) and is very needy. She's half siamese, with a gorgeous black shiny fur.
Another is a male, and is quite muscular. He's named Garfield because he looks just like the cartoon character by Jim Davis. Another good name would have been Hulk, but he's not green, so ;P
The last one is also a male, white with a few black spots. I don't know, but I think he has coordination problems, he can't walk straight and is generally a bit on the stupid side o_O

And oni is right about rodents, they are smelly and they are also scary. I had a guinea-pig (his name was Loeki) and my mom gave it away because I was so scared of that thing. At first my sis and I didn't even notice it was gone until a friend of my sis said she had our guinea-pig :xd:

I have a mutt ( Pitbull and something mix ) which is really smart. Knows his left and right paw, etc.

Also have a HUGE rabbit, called a Flemish Giant which is about 24 lbs ( bigger than the neighborhood cats, about half the size of my dog ). He is kinda like a large cat, just wants to be pet and to explore.

All of ur pets are cute and sound cute!

My dog is a mutt. She is about a mix of eveything but looks like a collie. She has the shape on a husky and the strength of a St. Bernard... or used to. When she was just a puppy she got ran over a car:(. Becasue of that her leg has been damaged since. She also has leaking problems. Wherever she sits she leaks. And she has a sore in her eye. The sore makes goo come out of her eye and sometimes it bleeds. BTW my dogs name is Dixie.

My cat is a gray and white cat named Cotton. She is a lil' chubby kitty cat:). My Aunt found her under a porch when she was selling a home and Cotton was half dead so she took it to the vet and the vet said they cant keep Cotton so my Aunt gave it to my family. Cotton only has 2 teeth!

My lil' goldfish Mr. Friendly is soo friednly! I love playing peek-a-boo with him or her! Sadly it has been through some deaths on fish I had for a long time... He is a very intelligent fishy wishy.

Last but not least my hamster Socks. Socks it a fuzzy siberian dwarf hamster. She loves to excercise but then eat all she can! Not the smartest hamster around but that is ok! Socks is so energetic it is soooooo freaky! But I love her

I do not have the exciting pet life.
My first pet was a orange cat named Peaches. This was when I was very young, so I do not recall that cat. Yet, my parents could not afford to declaw it, so it clawed up the furnature and my forehead. So, we sent it to the adoption place.

When I turned seven, I got a feeder fish for a dime, and so did my sisters. My fish managed to out live my sisters. My sisters went through two fish each, and I only went through one within six months! I don't know how, but that puny fish lasted 6 months.

When I first moved down, one of my dad's co-workers was moving to Washington D.C. and they did not allow pets where she was moving. So, I got my first cat that I may recall (because she is right next to me!). Her name is Luna, and this is her picture.

Then, we got a second cat named Libby. We had her as a kitten for two weeks. She was playing when she smashed her head on the fireplace. She did get up and start playing again. A day latter, she started meowing a lot. So, my parents took her to the vet. She was declared fine, and they were to keep her overnight. The next day, she was declared dead due to a blood clot.

My third cat was from the same person. His name is Carlito. He is quite the trouble maker! He is also quite cute, too. This is the best I can get right now.

Luna and Carlito are both alive. Carlito is almost a year old, and Luna is 3 years old.

I have two austraillian sheperds, purebreds, brothers, both very crazy. One is a red merle and one is a blue merle (I think that is how it is spelled). Dreamer, the red merle, is pretty calm while in our yard, but as soon as he is on a leash, he is like walking a tank. Litterally. And the other one, Dante, the blue merle, is a little demon in the yard (he will either bite your butt, if you are a stranger, or he will "goose" you, [stick his nose in your butt] if he knows you), and is an angel while on walks. They are both from the Yucca Valley shelter. I love them both. And they are both very, very, fuzzy. I will get a picture up as soon as my computer will let me.

I've really wanted a cockatoo (you know, one of the those big parrots) for a long time. I would name him Quetzalcoatl. ^^

Since my new job practically demands me to accept about 20 dogs as my own pets, and I was able to take 3 pictures of 2 of the dogs I take care of. These are Miniature Bull Terriers, and there are only 2 at the kennel. We are hoping that there will be puppies this summer!

That means by this summer, I should be able to provide photographs to around 4 litters (assuming none of the females have any problems) of puppies.

Here is Cleo, and she is a feisty girl. She demands attention and will receive it, no matter what she has to do. She was born in California and is 2 years old.

I have two cats now, but I don't have any pictures of them right now. I also have 2 dogs. Around a year ago, we got two little kittens from animal control. They weren't weened from their mother yet, so we had to bottle feed them. But Cloudy was sick, and he died. Soon after, Simba died, though we're not quite sure why. He got trapped in a shoe and he seemed to have gotten sick from that. I miss them. :cry:

I attached some pictures of them. You'll see in some of the pictures of Simba sitting with his dead brother. IDK what we could have done to prevent this, I asked around on forums, took them to the vet, nothing helped. :(

Yes, they are Australian Sheperds, good job, and they are born with no tails. Weird huh? But what's really funny is they "wag" their whole butts instead... it's just hilarious. :) And we are not sure just how old they are, we got them at the shelter after all, but we think they are about two years old.

Without tails? Are you sure? Australian Shepherds are typically born with a naturally docked tail, but I have never heard of the genetics being so twisted as to where the dogs are born without a tail at all. There are still no puppies, but there is a new dog (Greater Swiss Mountain Dog) at the kennel named Horton. Once those puppies arrive, I'll be taking those promised photographs. Until then, lovely pets everyone!

That's what I meant to say. Docked tails. Not no tails. I just meant they had no visible tails...they do have little stumps though. And they still wag their whole butt. :)

Well i have 3 dogs right now. 2 West Highland White Terriërs and one Maltese. Over my life, I've had a few pets. I've had about 3 cats. My favorite one was "Kit Kat". :xd: Cats are pretty cool, but are quite lazy. The only advantage of their laziness is that you don't have to take them for walks everyday. Right now I only have on dog, named Diego. He is really cool. He has a mixture of brown, white and a little bit of gold fur. I can't remember exactly what kind of dog he is though, sorry. :(

Through my life, my family has had 10 pets:

Dogs:
Bopi (I think that's what his name was): the first one. I think he ran away. I wasn't born yet so I wouldn't know.
Chewy- my family's second dog. He ran away with our third dog. He came back. He died maybe 6-7 years later.
Charlie- third dog. He ran away with Chewy. He never came back.
Biscuit- fourth dog. Still alive, but very, very old. He had puppies with our fifth dog.
Cookie- the fifth dog. Also the only female dog we had. She's still alive as well.
Chocolate- the son of Cookie and Biscuit. We sold him
Chip- Chocolate's twin. Again, we sold him

Hamsters:
All I know is that we had two. They were named after Power Rangers. I think we let them go.

Cats:
We have a very lazy cat named Cocoa

Well, I've had quite a few pets. My family owned two dogs, but I don't remember what type they were, and I don't know their names. I don't even know if they ran away or died.. I had a hamster that my grandmother gave me, but I don't remember what happened to it and I don't know what its name was. There was Schoonie, a dog I had for most of my life. She was a border collie, and she would protect us from raccoons and other animals. She ran away a few years ago, and now I just have a faint image of her. There was another hamster I got from a friend of mine, and I named her Penelope. She somehow got out of her cage, and we could never find her (she better not have died somewhere in the house because we've never found her.. >_<; ). There was Whiskers, my cat. She ran away after a few weeks of having her. Another hamster I had was Snoozer, and he eventually died. I'll mention the three pets my sister had/has. She had a cat named Tiger, but we got her at a too young of an age, so she died. My sister had a guinea pig named Tony, but he also died. She currently has another guinea pig named Vegas. I don't have much to say about him because I really don't like guinea pigs.

Now my family has a pet border collie Australian shepherd named Misty. She's such a great puppy, and it's fun playing with her. She gets way too hyper at times, though, and she'll run around the house. She's actually around right now...she's popping bubbles that my sister is blowing. x3

Currently, we have five cats: Missie, Sissy, Princess, Gingerale, and Kit Kat. They don't get along so much as they have reached an equilibrium and adopted a separate room of the house as their own. About a week ago they began acting weird, but we had just gone on a weekend trip, and thought they were protesting at being left alone. Then a day later Gingerale disappeared, which was strange for him. I finally found him in the guest bedroom - where Sissy usually stays. He was hiding under the bed. I attributed it to the fact that he's got a mischievous streak and pulled him out from under the bed, which caused him to hiss at me (also strange for him).

A few minutes later I told this story to my sister and she misunderstood and thought he was still under the bed. When she came back she was puzzled, and said, "You know, in the dark he almost looks like an orange tabby" (he's light yellow.)

And I said, "......He's on the back porch."

And we both said, "Then who's under the bed?"

We actually had a SIXTH cat under the guest bed, who had been there for who knows how long! We think someone left the basement door open one day it wandered in then. As my sister said, "You know you have too many cats when you don't even know that one doesn't belong to you." :lol:

Bubbles looks like a mixture of my two cats! Quizno and Pepper are very cute, too.
I have Sparkles and Mittens. They're twins. (though they don't look too much alike)


Since I can't seem to work up pictures of them, they're both tabbys. Sparkles is a skinny cat colored greyish with a little lighter then black stripes. Mittens is fat, has white paws, is grey and sort of brown. Her stripes are brighter then Sparkles'. She also has a white chest.

We have to keep our cats inside, because we live in a busy zone. Sparkles is desperate to get outside, but Mittens prefers to stay inside. We have to pick up Sparkles(she really doesn't like being held that much) to stop her. She's gotten outside a few times though.

I got her when I was about 9 or 10. She had two brothers named Hon and Luke, they were so huge compared to her. She's always been tiny. Her weight is usually 9 or 10 pounds. She loves me to death though. She follows me everywhere. Even when I shower she's out the door waiting for me to come out. When she sleeps in my bed, she sleeps right on top of my stuffed tiger so she can be near me.

My last pet was a black lab named Jasmine. She died in '07 at the age of 11. Thankfully she lived a full and healthy happy life .. the only times I had to take her to the vet was to get her spayed, check ups, and a couple times to have her boarded while we went on vacation.

We have one inside cat, and about 6 or 7 outside cats. I love cats. All of them follow me around every time I go outside, too. We also have two dogs, one is a yellow lab, the other is a cockapoo. Then there are two small birds that just sit in front of the window and tweet all day.

He's about 12 or 13 years old, he loves to chew on things. We let him have an old chair from a long time ago, and he tore that thing all up, we have to put covers over it to keep him from ripping things out of it. And in case you were wondering, yes, he does ride around on my arm and shoulder, and no, he doesn't bite. He used to bite quite often, but now he's a very friendly bird, just about anybody can come up to him and pet him. He says hello, pretty bird, my name, and cusses under his breath. He also barks whenever somebody comes over. I'm serious, he sounds exactly like a high-pitched dog. Also, God forbid he decides he wants your finger, he'll take the thing right off.

I used to have a whole bunch of pets. At one time, I had 15 lizards, 3 fish, and a dog. Now, I have 4 lizards, a cat, and a skunk. Actually, the skunk has lived in our backyard ever since it was small. It's about double in size now.

I have a cat named Tiger.(I know he has a very creative name.) He understands some words in Hungarian(I have proof!!!) and likes to open closed doors.

i have had quite a few pets, first was my dog charlie hes still alive but hes with my grandma i cant have pets in the apartment (i miss him so much :( )
second i have had 4 horses named: trigger(he was my favorite), misty, poker, and riley
ive had 3 fish which are all dead now
a few cats when i was little (they ran away cuz they were outside cats)
a bunny who died cuz he ate some grass with weed killer on it which was like poision to him :(
i think thats it... unless i wanna put the pets my mom had and that were almost my own lol
