Ok so this is a topic about, "Is Nayru's Love shield really worth the magic?" and other things like, "Have you ever even used it?"
To me Nayru's Love takes up a lot of magic, and it goes by fast. To me what is the pont of having it when you gotta get lots of magic when your done with it. You already have a shield. But then again if it is an ermergency you should use it. Depending on your magic bar.
I've probably used this once or twice. Mostly in the desert to the Spirit Temple. I never liked those little green things that pop out of the sand and attack you. And they always come so many at a time. That is the only time I used it.

The only time I would use it is if I do a 3-Heart challenge for Ocarina of Time. Could save your butt from those Iron Knuckles. And it comes so late in the game you don't really need it 'cept for Iron Knuckles.
I've never even bothered to get it. For one I could never find it, and never bothered to look on the internet for where it was, and I was quite happy with Just Din's fire.

Yes, you really only need Din's Fire and I usually just get it to get 100% on the game *all hearts, medallions, stones, items, etc.*

Din's Fire helps out alot and you do actually need it. Both in the graveyard, under the grave, and in other places such as the Light Medallion portion of Ganon's Castle, you use Din's Fire to light torches to unlock doors.
But no, I never really used Nayru's Love. I did a couple of times just to see what it looked like and see what it could do, but if I were to go back and beat the game right now, I could guarantee that I would never use it.

As previously said, I used Din's Fire much more than Nayru's love, which I used about once or so.
Like Judai said, it could be helpful in situations where you're fighting a Iron Knuckle, or only have a few hearts left/doing the three heart challenge.
Other than that, I only used it about once to try and cross the sand to the Spirit Temple without the enemies there attacking me. And maybe once during a miniboss battle, where it really didn't help that much.

Yes i also used din 's fire more then the other spell stones.
I used Farore 's wind once in the entire game. that was in water temple. i was missing a small key to gain acces to the big key. So i made a save point in front of the boss room.
With Nayru 's love.
I ónly used it for fun sometimes, but its that kinda of important item if you ask me. And yes its wasting alot of magic from you. Even with the end battle with ganondorf/ganon, the upgraded defence of your hearts are enough to maintain health. not to mention potions and fairies.
So yeah if you are greedy to waste your rupees or lazy to catch fairies, then Nayru 's love is The item for U.

I think I used it once or twice just to test it out, and I was really dissapointed. I wish you could turn it on and off instead of waiting for it to wear off. Or if you could use other magic items while shielded by it, then it would be awesome.
Like previously said, I can see it being helpful if you are doing the three heart challenge, but overall it's a pretty useless item.

I used it at ganon's fight. Pretty useless. but it uses less magic than magic armour (ww)

I never used it because I didn't think it was worth the magic.
I used to use Nayru's Love all the time, but the last number of times I've played the game, I haven't even gotten it to use. It did really help me out a lot the first few times I played parts of the game.

I never used... i always thought it was completely useless... it could have been useful if OoT had a place like the Cave of Ordeals... In fact, the only spell i used was Din's Fire

I don't know Nayru's love kinda helps when your using it to fight Hard sub bosses like the Iron Knuckles and DARKLINK. Also.... you cannot really get hurt if you happen to land link wrong.. savy

You are only supposed to get Nayru's Love after Water Temple, unless you play it to the long hookshot and leave it for later... or do the GERUDO DESERT AS A KID thingie...stilll... i think it is rather useless... Also, Farore's Wind is something like a prototype of the Oocoo/Oocoo Jr mechanics

OOccoo and Ooccoo jr. are pretty useful in TP... and.. back when i was a noob, Fayror's wind cam in handy.. So i see where your coming at SK

I never used it, mostly just because there was never really a time when I ever took large amounts of damage.

I was trying to make you guys see that Nayru's Love is somewhat of a "prototype" to the magical armor(specially the WW one, since you have no Magic in TP:()
Anyways... A little off-Topic, Oocoo/Oocoo jr were pretty useful, specially in the Snowhead Mansion or whatever it is its name

Well, a lot of things and ideas were passed down from Ocarina of Time. Maybe over the centuries, they were able to get Nayru's Love into a tunic and Link came across it...

I used it all the time when I first had to kill iron knuckles. Now that I am better at the game I dont really use it but I get it anyway. I think it if worth the magik ^^ Waaay better then the magik armour.

I think the only time I used it was when I first played and got it just to see what it did. Otherwise I get it but never use it.
Same with Farore's Wind. Why not just do the mid-boss portal thing they do for the 2D games? A lot simpler.

I personaly never found it o.O
I used that wind spell a few times though, less back tracking, but it took to much magic.

I only have used it once during the bongo bongo boss battle. It didn't seem to use up a lot of magic at all for me.

I really never used Nayru's love
(Although it would save me from losing so many fairies)

Screw Din's fire... Nayru's love is good... reason...
FIGHTING GANNON!!!
it comes in handy... i've fought him several time and... died... then i just sadi screw this... and so i used nayru's love... and yay no damage throughout the entire fight!!! my weapons of choice against him:
Bottle
Biggoron sword
Light arrows...
Thats all i used after nayru's love to beat him... in 10 seconds...
then pig gannon
Biggoron sword like 7 slashes before he fell
master sword for the last fight...
If anything... the only non useful item is farore's wind... i thing its just a piece of crap >:(

Farores wind is usefull. If i have to stop playing while i am at dungeon, i use farores wind and save the game. When i start playing again, i use it again, and i am at the room, where i left from.
And please don't double post.

Using Nayru's Love and Light Arrows would drain your magic pretty quick...

I never really used it. There would have been more use for it if some of the enemies were tougher (or more like the Iron Knuckle, in that they just did massive damage,) but as it was, I didn't see any reason to use it.
It wasn't really a matter of magic for me, I just didn't need it, what with all my bottled items healing me.
It's the same way for me in pretty much every Zelda game; I never use the protective magic. I just use it once to try it out, and that's it.

Eh the only time i used Nayrus Love is when you fight ganodorf/ganon thats really like the purpose of it.

I never even felt like going to the great fairy I already knew it was worthless and plus the bestg thing you could probably use it on is an Iron knuckle and I could beat them with out getting hurt and yes it's a complete waste of magic I could be using farores wind ormlight arrows for ganondorf instead of wasting my magic on protection I already have damage is cut in half and the biggoron sword whal else could I want

Yeah...
I put this post forgetting to quote typingblade's last sentence, so here's my response:
Farore's Wind is useful.
I hated how you have to go to the entrance of the dungeon every time you turn off your game.

nayru's love wasn't worth the effort and it wasn't worth the magic. But if it had a different effect like maybe stuns all the enemies in the room and that it doesn't work on bosses. I think that would be much better and I may of consider getting it in the haunted wastland.I seriously dont know why nintendo would make an item as worthless as this, although some people may find it to be usefull if they really stunk when it came to battling stalfos and Iron knuckles.

I really think that Nayru's love was pretty much useless. I only remember using it once, and that was whenever I was out in the desert area in front of the Spirit Temple. I used it so I didn't get hurt by the leevers that were constantly coming at me all the time. They were really annoying.

Yeah, Nayru's Love was sort of useless. Not totally, but mostly. I guess it could come in handy during some hard fights, especially on a three-heart challenge. But anyways, I really only used it once, when I wasn't doing so great in the Shadow Temple. I had one heart left, looked in my inventory, saw Nayru's Love, and though "it's about time I tried this out". And so I did, and it probably saved my life for a while. But then I ran out of magic and died -.-.

But its the key to doing the Super Flip glitch. You use it, then place a bomb. You take a step back from it, so you can see it in front of you. Right when it blows, do a backflip. Have Fun...

First few times I played the game I could beat the Iron Knuckles without it.

I always get it, but I use it mainly for fun.
it is actually pretty useful in Dessert Colossus, inside for the Iron Knuckles and outside for those green things that spins around.

Yeah, There good if your fighting more than one dark nut. I used it in the sand temple during the eyes. You have to have fire to kill them.

I used Nayru's Love for a few things after I got it especially to fight the Shadow Temple boss. One was when you got into Ganondorfs Castle and I used to so I would get hurt by the enemies while going up the stairs, but the only downside was I couldn't use it during the fight because it wouldn't let me use the Light Arrows against Ganondorf. It was pretty useful for when you have to get out of the castle before it collapsed, but when Zelda used her magic to open the doors it didn't show the light for me. The third use is for fighting Ganondorf in his main form and it made it easier for me to fight him because I could run up to him and go behind him and if he hit me it wouldn't hurt me. So pretty much it seems like it was created for the fight against Ganondorf/Ganon.

Never used it, I never had a use for it really. I think I've only used it once and it was only to see what it looked like because for everything else, I'm pretty much good at dodging and rolling. Besides, it takes up a LOT of magic for no reason!! ._.;;

I've never used it for real, I only used it to see what it did like most people do. I saw no other real reason to use it, the Iron Knuckles weren't too bad for me.
I guess the only one of the magic spells that does something completely worthwhile is Din's Fire.
