need help in minish cap!

ok, i had just finished the third dungeon and im trying to follow along with the walkthrough on the main site, i used the ocarina to goto lake hylia, talked to the picori in his house and learned of elder librari and then it told me to use the ocarina to goto hyrule town...

there wasnt a wind crest anywhere near it, so i went to the minish woods and worked my way to my house and found one there, uncovered it, and walked into town...

i finally found the library, the walkthrough wasnt very clear with it... cause i never heard of a school other than the swordsman training school.. and the library wasnt 'just west of it'...

it says to talk to the girl to the left in the library and she'll give us a clue about a future puzzle, in the picture she's giving him a hylian bestiary or whatever, but she doesnt do anything for me!

she just says welcome to the library, and asks me if im smith's son and thats it...

can someone please help me out, it seems the walkthroughs arent completely reliable, i guess...

Did you try talking to the old man upstairs in the Library? The girl on the left should tell you that there are a few books missing, and give you small hints as to who has them. Try talking to the old man upstairs who takes care of arranging the books, as well as the Picori who live amongst the bookshelf with the missing books, and then go back and talk to the lady at the desk.

Edit: ok, nevermind... the walkthrough seemed to completely skip the part about going to the roof, shrinking down, and talking to the picori on the bookshelf in order to trigger that librarian's missing books dialogue...

Did you talk to the Minish in the bookcase. You can change into Minish Form outside the library's second floor.

Yeah, the Picori upstairs. Go upstairs and out the door and there is a big pot. Flip it, turn Minish, and go into the bookshelf, then talk to the Minish person there. She will tell you that they can't get to the Elder because some books are missing. Then, go back out, turn back to normal size, and go back downstairs and talk to the lady on the left desk. She will tell you about them then.

great... now im stuck again... the walkthroughs kinda... i dunno... arent good...

i followed it as far to where im supposed to go into this house on the west side of town with the yellow roof... it tells me to just talk to the picori in this house, and go up through the hole... HOW?!

the picori keeps standing in my way, saying its too dangerous to charge through recklessly... *sigh*

who did those walkthroughs? did they even play the game?

Quit getting flustered. You need to collect the books in order. Did you get the Bestery (SP) first? Sorry it's been awhile since I did this.

Edit: Oh and... How can they write a guide if they never played the game, yet know a lot about it? ;)

Yikes, I musta really really really messed that part up. Strangely enough this is one of the 'better' guides on the site... sorta. It will be redone... eventually. Sorry. Hopefully the rest of the guide works itself out.

I haven't played that game in a while, but I remember that you have to put out at least two people's fireplaces to get the books. Correct me if I am wrong.

Well minish cap was quite easy to beat for me anyway... but i think that just messing around is all its good for :D

Anyways.. You have to put out the fire place of one of the members of the cat/dog couple and the fireplace of Dr.Left
