I used to own an cartridge for the N64, but I don't have that anymore. Now I have the Collector's Edition of Ocarina of Time and Ocarina of Time: Master Quest. I also have the other collector's disk* with OoT and Majora's Mask and the two original Zelda's
*You can also own Ocarina of Time on the Collector's Disk, which has two other Zelda titles on it.

I own the Collector's Edition. Nice and simple way to have 4 games at once. =D

I used to have two copies of the N64 one, until I gave one away and sold my 64 way back (regrets). Then I also had Master Quest till I sold that as well (regrets even more). So I am left with only the Collector's Edition, which is ok I suppose. I still wish I had that Master Quest disk back.

I have the gray cartridge 64 version, as well as Master Quest. I had just resubscribed to Nintendo Power when they offered the Collectors Edition so sadly I'm without it. ; -; Wait until I get a hold of my boyfriends collection, one day I shall legally own half of a Zelda Gold Cartridge and the Collectors Edition!
As for the VC version.. I don't' think I'd Bother getting it. I already have MQ to use with my GameCube controller so I'll save my money for another game I haven't played~

I said other. I have it on the collecters edition for Gamecube. I didn't know if that would be in the Nintendo64 choice or not, so I just said other.
Uh, I think that would be listed under the words "Collector's Edition." =O

Well, I used to own the original gray cartridge for the N64, but I sold that along with my Nintendo 64 and all of the other games. The cartridge was in good condition, although it had a large scratch on the sticker. I never got any instructions though.

I have the Collector's Edition, since that's the first console game I ever owned, and consequently the first Zelda game I ever owned as well - though the first Zelda game I beat was actually Four Swords with my brother. (The one who was killed by snot, if you remember that at all. XP) Come to think of it, FS might be the very first video game I ever beat.:hmm: Unless you count the Harry Potter PC games, which I might have beaten first.

well considering I"ve only played collectors addition Its hard to say but I still don't think I'd like it on VC or N64 but I might get a Wii or a N64 someday It just seems like I'd hate it on Wii and N64 cause I'm really only used to the camecube controllers and it would take way to long to memorize the others

The main diferences are that some glitches only work in that version, Ganon's blood in the end is red instead of green and the Fire Temple has the original theme, wich was changed in the gray cartridge version, GCN's versions and the virtual console one

Nope, you're wrong lol. I have a grey cartridge and it has red blood, original fire temple music and original gerudo logo (the other thing that nintendo changed). Both the golden and grey cartridges have the "original" version, the whole "new" version thing, with green blood etc... came in later cartridges productions....and since they didn't make more golden cartridges.....you can only find them on the grey ones (later production only):)

I believe the last posts could have something to do with PAL vs US versions (or should I say american version?) I believe there are differences regarding colour of cartridges and such. I wonder how big the differences are between PAL and US versions? (They should be slight looking at walkthroughs etc., but still they could matter)

I don't know about the pal and ntsc differences (if there is any), but it has nothing to do with what I said above. I have a grey cartridge and a friend of mine had the golden one (both of em ntsc)

I was just speculating and you are certainly correct, I do not doubt that. But could there be a difference between the grey and goldish PAL cartridges (were there even two in Europe?). Guess I should now but I played OoT on the Gamecube.

I only own the play ol' gray N64 cartridge. I am thinking about starting a little collection of Zelda games in their various incarnations though, so this may change.
I also may buy it on the VC, since I find having them all on the Wii is just easier and convenient for quick play since I don't have room to have all my other systems hooked up right now. Granted, you don't get that official N64 controller feel, but it's still easier. Plus I like that "Pause Anywhere" feature of the VC.

I own the original grey cartridge, the collectors edition disc for GC, and the master quest. I didn't vote because you can't pick more than one.
With I had to get the master quest b/c it's different, and I bought the collectors edition so that I could play MM on the gamecube. Between that disc. the GC the gamboy player, and the GBA rereleases of several of the classic games, I can play every Zelda game to date except PH on gamecube.

I have the collector's edition on the GameCube, i only played it for a few times, i am pretty addicted to my visual Console Project 64 1.6. The reason is the High Resolution version of OoT, even Majora's mask has HiRes. But i enjoy to play it on my own TV more, it's only because the Hires.
Once i owned a Nintendo 64, unfortunately it dies a few years ago. I still have the orginal Cartrige, i know it's useless to have it now.

Does one version have some kind of cool added thing to it that the others don't. If i does or if it doesn't can someone please tell me. I have the N64 Gold Cartridge Collector's Edition v1.0 (I also have the GC Collector's Edition CD, but I like the N64 better)
It comes without all the "censorship" (come on, you threaten a T rated game because Ganondorf coughed up a little red blood? He did just get his butt kicked.) and makes many glitches easier for when you're bored.
The only thing more collectible than what I have (in terms of "the first", "the original") is the Japanese Gold Cartridge (v1.0 of course)

I have the original OOT Cartidge, however it might be an edited or redone version because I notice the music in the Fire Temple was different from my friend's cartridge that he got before me. Aside from that, cartridge seems the straight forward original. I don't have an emulator, never really needed one since i kept all of my games and consoles

I assume I have the original version of N64 OoT, as I remember the mirror shield had that awesome crescent. But it's hard to say really.. I can't actually play it due to my n64's current lack of a memory/expansion pack. (No idea what happened to it.. hehe..) As for the Fire Temple music, Im again unsure. I got that game in sixth grade; vids I've seen of OoT and my actual playthroughs run together at this point.
I own the original V1.0 cartridge. However, I lack the gold cart, instead I just have a version my brother gave me that he had bought a few days after the release. But now that I think about it, I don't really know when it was, but I do know it's the one with the moon and star symbols, unchanged Fire Temple music and the like.
However, I lack any other version because I see no reason to buy a game again when I dislike the changes from the original cartridge and can still play the cart with no trouble.

If I remember right, the crescent shape on the Mirror Shield/Blocks/etc. was the only one that didn't change in v1.2. It was only changed in the GameCube re-releases (and then of course Wii Virtual Console).

I've got the Master Quest one. It came with Wind Waker. Two awesome games for the price of one! It was one of the best gaming deals I've ever made.

I have a gray N64 cartridge, however it has some things the gold N64 cartridges have, like red blood instead of green blood and the original Fire Temple music. Although I cannot do the original swordless link glitch on my gray N64 cartrige so I think it is a version 1.01 cartridge.
So it isn't a gray cart that is just like a gold one, it's a gray cart which is similar, except for a few glitches which can only be done on version 1.00 cartridges. (Gold and some gray)

I actually have all of those (^_^). I collect every zelda game. If I see one I don't own I buy it.
I got the gold N64 one.
I got the darker atmosphere in the well, with the chanting, the most realistic final blow to Ganon of the OoT versions and, most importantly, I got the silver mirror shield. The gold one is darn ugly! Seriously, apart from changing the looks because it looks like a certain flag (which sucks anyway, what happened to artistic freedom), why did they have to change the main color instead of just the symbols?
Was that to match the re-releases on the handheld back then? Why? I liked the golden boxes way better than a black box with a golden picture?
What happende to the enormous blocks you move around in the game? They had those symbols too... They are not gone, considering the balance of puzzles in the dungeons. Are they blank now?

I have the 1.01 version (I think).
it has the red blood, the original Fire Temple music, the symbol on the mirror shield.
When I bought it, I didn't have an idea about other versions.
If someone told me about other versions back in April, I would have bought a Gold Cartridge.
Anyway, I'm happy with my 1.01 grey cartridge.

I have the N64 cartridge (somewhere in the basement, I hope) and the Master Quest disc. I'd love to get my hands on the collectors edition, since it also contains a MM version for gamecube/wii afaik, even though I heard that MM version was very buggy.

I have the one on the collectors edition, and the one on the 3ds(which also includes master quest.) my personal favorite is the one on the 3ds, as it's a lot cleaner than the one on the collectors edition

Sad you can only chose one in the poll considering most of us have multiple copies/versions of the game. I have Master Quest and The Collecter's Edition.
Collector's disk, Master Quest and Oot3D... :D
I might buy an original N64 version just for my collection...

I own the N64 cartridge (both the original uncensored and the later patched green), the Master Quest and Collector's edition discs for Gamecube and the virtual console version and OoT3D. I think its safe to say I'm a fan.

Wow, I last posted in this thread back in 2008. O.o
I own the best version: 1.1 of the cartridge. It is uncensored, and yet all the bad glitches are knocked out of it!
Since then, I've also acquired the 3DS version of the game when I got the Ocarina of Time 3DS that had OoT3D bundled with the system.

I have the OoT/MQ special edition. I used to have the grey N64 cartridge but I sold my 64 a few years back which I regret now. That console had some amazing games, especially 3rd party ones that aren't on the virtual console... oh Banjo Kazooie how I miss you!

I own the original N64 version, MQ special edition, and the promotional collectors disc that also has MM and the first two Zelda games on it. OoT 3D looks so tempting....I might get a 3DS just for the sole purpose of that game.

I love Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie! :D Anyway, I own every version except for the Virtual Console and the original Nintendo 64 cartridge. That means I have the Collector's Disc, the Master Quest disc, and OoT 3D.
I prefer the 3D version, but I still love the original graphics! :)
