I will surely remember escaping from Lon Lon Ranch. I just thought it was pretty cool cuz that dude that took over the ranch locked Epona and Link up and jumping so high it is just awesome.

I'll also remember that little boy in the graveyard beng Damp`e.:D

One thing that still sticks out for me, because it scared me so very badly, being caught by Ganondorf while peaking through the window.

I also remember getting the fairy ocarina from Saria, learning the tunes, and retrieving the Spiritual Stones.

I surely cannot forget the Temple of Time, or the ability to travel through time.

I will always remember killing Ganon and sealing him away. It was such a cool scene. Also, I will remember getting the Master Sword, it was amazing how he drew the sword and all the sages were instantly there.

I think Ocarina of Time was amazing in the sense that it told a legend, and other, smaller stories simultaneously.
One part of the game that has always stuck in my memory is the scene when you first leave the forest, and Saria stops you and hands over the Faerie Ocarina. She proceeds to say "we'll be friends forever, won't we?". I thought that that was a huge advancement in story deveolpment.

I will always remember saving the Gorons from the Fire Temple, that was fun. And I'll also remember fighting Ganon in his massive pig form at the end of the game.

I'll remember killing Dark Link with a hammer. Always fun to watch that.

The only thing I will really remember about OOT is how scary some of the enemies were, like Stalfos, Redeads, and Wall and Floormasters. Another is fighting Beast Ganon, which in the beginning of playing, was extremely hard for me to beat.

The 2 scenes that stick out the most for me were the ones when Zelda escapes with Impa, and the scene in the Temple of Time after you collected all the Medallions.

I think there are a couple things that I will remember most from OoT. First, walking into the big center room of the Forest Temple. That dungeon was the one that always creeped me out the most, it's just so dark and disturbing, it's quite a sad place. Second, is always kind of watching the clouds/sky turn dark. Like whenever you would up to Lon Lon Ranch as an adult and the sky would get so dark, or after you get the first three stones, and going to the castle gates how dark everything becomes.

That's about it.

Never being able to beat the running man, argh. :p

Heh, I'll never forget the adventure of the boy that set out to save the world. It's something that really inspired me when I was little. Wanting to be Link, but I guess most people here felt that way.

The ending of the Ganondorf battle whenever Link attacks Ganondorf and he coughs up blood.

blackice_cc
12-04-2008, 09:20 AM
I'd say just the entire Final Battle. When Ganondorf is in beast form, not the other fight. It was just completely epic, and had a sense of "if you lose, everything is doomed" (especially because of the music), which just made it more memorable.

Probably the Forest Temple, and the battle against Phantom Ganon. That stuff was cool.

Then again, I rarely ever forget game details, so I'll likely remember the game pretty well for a long time.

Hylian Hobbit
12-06-2008, 03:42 AM
Hard for me to decide. Like Axle (and I'm sure most people here), the details of the game really sticks with me, so I doubt I'll forget much of it. Not any time soon anyway. But I guess the point of this thread is more on the line of "What were some very memorable parts from OoT".

Anywho, I guess the Spirit Temple and the end of OoT. The Spirit Temple is my favorite Temple/Dungeon in the series, and I love playing that part of the game. And the end was a very memorable part of the game. But that's usually the case with most games.

I nkw what I'll remember. You know after you get the spiritual fire stone, or the gorons ruby like they call it, and 3 or 4 more gorons come along, and say " what about a big goron hug?" and you run off? I'll remember that for sure.

Navi's trek to find Link at the beginning was great.

I dunno, I think I am just a sucker for camera pans. The same with the beginning of Mario 64.

I will never forget How annoying the Water Temple was and how cool it was to sneak into the Gerudo Fortress actually getting to act like an assassin, That was cool killing the guards with a bow

Everything, this game was my childhood :P
Beating the game for the first time is obviously memorable, the great deku tree, and ive always had a vivid memory of the room with the blocks and arrows painted on the floor in the forest temple for some reason... weird

Dang I remember so many things when thinking about Ocarina. A few that stand out are walking around Kakariko Village, turning around in the Dark Link room and him all of a sudden standing there, and catching the Hylian Loach in the fishing pond. It took soooo long.

I'll always remember how awsome the music is in the Gerudo Desert.

That music was probably the best in OoT, or any zelda game, when i was little i would just go there to hear the music, and get pissed off when it turned night time so i would have to play the suns song

Ganondorf getting the Triforce of Power. Critical point in the whole series.

The whole game. Ocarina of Time was the best game in the Legend of Zelda Series bar far and I think it will be for a while.

I will never forget Oot. It's just too fun to forget.
But if there was one thing that I will never forget, it would be slaying Ganondork, ahem, I mean Ganondorf.

I'll never forget the scene when Link pulls the Master Sword out of the pedestal for the first time. I was amazed by that scene way back when, I doubt I'll forget as long as I continue to play games.

To me I think, it was getting the :mastersword: for the first time. Up until that point it was all getting a certain item in a dungeon or just completing the dungeon. But we all knew that at some point, Link becomes adult, so that moment when you finally do become adult, is awesome. And you get to see the always awesome post-apocalyptic Hyrule lol.:)

I remember when I was playing OoT and I was alone in the living room of my house, I finally finished the Water Temple
.....And then I accidentally exited the portal....without the heart container.....
So then I had to go up that devilish little slope before the boss room again, and got up on like, atleast my 50th try.

For me it is the Temple of Time. The song there brings back so many memories and just the whole idea that you can travel time ^^

I remember thinking how strange it was that the stones made a whistle sound when they were on the alter ^^

I will remember the deku tree. It seemed so protective and wise and it was sad when it withered. One thing that is also very special is seeing adult Link for the first time. Playing both as a child and also as a more mature Link is what makes this game so special for me.

Ahah, I like this idea for a topic. It's something I've not seen before in my days spent on forums. Nostalgia really is one of my favorite emotions.
Anyways, I'm always going to remember doing strange sidequests before actually beginning or continuing with the main story (Whichever the case may be at the time). In the first several minutes of the game, I remember going around town and finding that the shop sold shields but not swords. I ran around in the grass until I had enough rupees, then bought one and wondered where the sword was. Then I eventually found it, and both of these were completely separate and happened before Mido told me I needed a shield and a sword.
Also, a few moments after I became an adult, I pondered what crazy nonsense would happen if I went to find my grownup friends in the forest (Not knowing that they didn't grow up) and while looking for Saria ended up accidentally finding the guy you give the chicken to and did the entire Biggoron's sword quest before even doing the Forest Temple, then found out it was completely optional. I always used that sword though. I even sort of missed it in TP. T-T

OOT was my favorite game ever. But I think I will always remember playing through Kokiri Forest and my first dungeon ever, Inside the Deku Tree.

Something that I have always remembered about this game is the Royal Grave in Kakariko's graveyard.
When I was just a little kid, about 6 or so, I will never forget going down there and being so scared. :P
I hated sneaking by the Redeads. Funny now actually.
I will also always remember all of the great songs in this game.

I will never forget when Link gets meet down by Gandorf on his horse.

And when he gets the Master Sword for the first time when he pulled it from the pesital, and then you meet Sheik.

I also will ALWAYS remmeber the first time I was trying to get the forest temple. My sister was watching me and when I walked in I couldn't see where the moblin was so I was planning on turning to look but all of a sudden it charged at me and I just screamed.

From OoT, I'll always remember being scared of the ReDeads. Thy creeped me out. It was one of the reasons I hated going to castle town as an adult. Thier paralyzing screams creeped me out the first few times, but now I'm used to it.

In TP when I reached Arbiters Grounds, I knew there were ReDead Knights there, so I muted my TV the whole time I went through the Dungeon, even with Stallord. Just a non-useful fact.

I will always remember Navi saying "Hey listen!Hey look!Hey look!listen!

Sometimes I hear the voices in my head. "Hey! Look Listen! Hey hey! Listen!" It is rather annoying. But at least Navi gave some usefuly information. I will never forget how annoying Navi was. She is all yelling, then you finally decide to examine whatever it is to get her to shut up. Then a few seconds later, it starts up again... Oh boy...

I'll always remember sneaking into the Gerudo's Fortress to rescue the carpenters. It just felt so...cool. You were always on edge and the place just had a very dangerous vibe. I especially liked the mini-boss fights after each carpenter was found. Plus the music was epic.

I'll also remember the Bottom of the Well/Shadow Temple. Even though I didn't like it, the scary, disturbing enemies (Dead Hand...*shudder*) and the horrific images (bloody X-shaped crucifixes) will stay with me forever. Even though they were crude graphics.

Something else that will stay with me is, dating back to when I first got the game, wandering around Hyrule, discovering new places to go and things to see...the scope of the game was amazing to me at the time.

When someone mentions OOT, I instantly remember the Water Temple. The Water Temple was the one I got stuck at on my very first try of OOT. I have a new slot and I beat the Water Temple a lot and I used to hate it but it's the only really challenging part - except for when I have to take on and off the iron boots.

NorthApple
12-16-2009, 04:29 PM
Darn you Junehs, that's how I was going to start my waffling! :P
Anyway, if someone said "Ocarina of Time" to me, the thing that instantly comes to mind, and the thing I remember most, is a rather vivid image of looking out across the open desert from the top of the Gerudo fortress, wearing the Zora Tunic, Mirror Shield and Hover Boots, with the sun shining in the camera and that awesome music playing. :3

I always used to mess around on my Dad's completed file, and I remember I'd warp from the Temple of Time to Lake Hylia after pulling the Master Sword (those redeads terrified me so I'd bypass castle town altogether), then swim to shore and call Epona. Then I'd ride her to the Gerudo Desert and race across the main bridge pretending I was leaping over it like my dad did when it was broken. If I timed it right, I'd arrive at either sunrise or sunset, and the sun would be right down casting shadows and beams into the camera. Then I'd equipt my favourite tunic/shield/boots (master sword was standard xD) and hookshot up to the cell, then jump down and climb that long sloping passageway until I reached above the cell, then I'd hookshot across to the chest and just be awed at the view, or start sliding over little gaps with the hover boots and exploring the rest of the fortress.

Man, good times :3

The thing that sticks out the most from the Ocarina of Time was the fight with Dark Link. That was the hardest fight for me. Dark Link was the only thing that almost killed me.

Well, I grew up with OOT. It was my first videogame ever I got when I was only 6. (O.o 11 years already!) I will remember practically everything. Some elements will be in my head forever. For example, I will always remember the Kokiri Forest and my first time entering in the Deku Tree. But really, when I think about OOT right now, I think about many many things, dungons, quest, story, temples, items, areas, etc. There was many great elements in this game. SUch wonderful memories.

I was so stocked on this game, I tried to remember everything, which I somehow almost did in four playthroughs....
Now I'm afraid it's gonna be boring and that my memories are more beatifull...

I'm replaying MM right now (second time only) and I'm quite stocked, I also played the first 4 games which were quite new after all those years, so I'll problably play OoT sometime soon, just to like it a lot again!

Some special moments:
The intro with Epona galloping in the night...
First view of Kokiri Forest when you start playing...
Getting sucked into Jabu Jabu.
Showing of your mask at the deku's.
Opening the waterfall at Zora's domain.
Getting Epona out of the Ranch, that was a cool pose and a cool camera shot!
Learning The Bolero of Fire, I don't know why.
The cool puzzle called the Water Temple!
Seeing the desert statue and being told of another goddess of sand, which wasn't in the story much?
Gannondorf turning into Ganon was the least they could do, and they did! AWESOME!

Now I need to stop before I start by waking up as Link (again?) and end by beating Ganon (once again?) and checking out the ending credits, which was also cool.

E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!
I'll remember everything...

From the cuccos sidequest to meeting Nabooru, from the moment I was stuck in Jabu jabu's Belly to the Gerudo Training Grounds... I feel like crying :( Just like I almost did when I saw the credits at Paper Mario...

Of course, I would prefer not remembering anything just to play OOT again as if it was my first timr... Good moments, good moments :)
