My favorite genres include the following: Folk metal, viking metal, symphonic metal, power metal, and gothic metal. I also enjoy classical music and folk too.

My favorite bands include those who tour Paganfest, and a significant amount who tour Wacken Open Air. Then again, my liking for folk music makes me a Blackmore's Night fan as well as traditional folk music fan, nothing like the bagpipes. ^^

I can't say there is one particular style of music that I prefer, likewise composistions that I like could fall under mutiple catagories. However, I like some more conceptual and/or minimalistic music. However, I also like some classical but also alternative.

I like some of the music of the Icelandic band Sigur Ros, but I most like the composistion of Philip Glass.
As for a favourite song, probably Mad Rush, or Einstein on the Beach. However, there are many others that I am partial to.

A thread (http://www.zeldadungeon.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1684) like this already exists, so uh, yarr. So, I'm just gonna copy my post from there, even though this thread will probably get deleted, or whatever the hell happens to duplicate threads.

Mostly post-rock, think "God is an Astronaut" and "Mogwai". Those are pretty good, "Do Make Say Think" and "Explosions in the sky" too. Sometimes "Angels and Airwaves", and when I'm in the mood i usually listen punk/pop-rock. I've always been a huge fan of "Blink 182", started listening to that when i was like, 6, which might explain why i turned out as idiotic as i did, "Offspring", "Sum 41", "New Found Glory" etc. usually go around the playlist while I'm listening to Blink, certain songs from "Slipknot", "HIM", "KoRn" and "TOOL" find they're way to the playlist as well, some Progressive Trance like "Ballearic Bill" or "The Thrillseekers" but that's just for fun, with that there's usually some Hardstyle or Hardtrance. Diverse, i know, don't judge. Anywho, there's a hell of a lot more bands i could list here, but i don't see the need for that.

I like all kinds of music, my taste is very wide - all depends what mood I'm in. Chill out, rap (but I'm picky with that), orchestral, pop, rock, punk, dance, mash up, world, pretty much everything. But if I had to pick one, progressive rock. I love how layered it can get, and how long the songs can get. I'm drawn to the unconventional risk taking kind of music - the regular 3 minute pop song gets old quick.

My favourite song is the title track from my favourite album - Six by Mansun. There are so many layers to this album, I've been finding stuff years after the first listens. Forget hunting down Six on youtube, you'll end up with a rubbish radio friendly version. The UK album has the best version. Listen at the link below if you're interested, and the rest of the album if you're brave enough. I don't think I'm lying when I say you won't have heard one like this, but it's a love it or hate it kind of album. It might be too much for some people.

I also like Punk Rock and screamo stuff Metal music is pretty cool too.

I won't even attempt to make a list, music is a large part of my life. I will listen to pretty much anything, but I have to name a few that come to mind right now.

I've been getting into Motley Crue a lot lately, so many awesome songs, their music rocks, but its not anything amazing I think it's more of how wild those guys were and how hard they partied, and how their music just got you pumped up.

Shinedown is one of my more modern favorites, they have so many great songs and their version of Simple Man is just simply amazing.

For anyone who can appreciate the guitar I recommend getting a cd called Scenes by Marty Friedman. I a lot of people don't know who he is but he used to be the guitarist for Megadeath, but then went off on his own. He can totally mess with your emotions through just the use of a guitar, real powerful stuff.

I have to second Lenora Dragon's comment about Bag Pipes, a lot of people find them annoying but I get chills (good chills) down my back every time I hear them, it must be my scottish heritage kicking in.

Erm... favorite song will be hard. Ever since my AP World teacher played Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire," it became one of my favorite songs. I've listened to that song so many times that I practically know all the lyrics.

But right now, I think my all time favorite song is "Under Pressure" by David Bowie and Queen. I never get tired of that song. It has like, over 200 plays on my iPod. The version by My Chemical Romance has over 700 plays, maybe more.

Favorite Band is YellowCard. Largely for sentimental reasons, but I gotta admit I still love their songs.

I generally listen to a genre commonly called Alternative Metal. Basically just metal, but with just a touch less screaming. My favorite band would have to be Chevelle, and my favorite song by them is Jars. My favorite album by them is either Wonder What's Next or Sci-Fi Crimes.
My favorite song, which happens to not be by Chevelle, is probably either I Will Not Bow or So Cold by Breaking Benjamin (my 2nd favorite band).
My favorite album is either Phobia (Breaking Benjamin), Dear Agony (Breaking Benjamin), Disclaimer II (Seether), or Ænima (Tool).

And I figure I should say, my favorite game soundtrack would have to be any of the original Halo Trilogy, or Zelda: Link's Awakening.

I don't have a specific favorite. I like a bunch of bands, and bunch of songs from them. Skillet, RelientK, Crush40, and Hawk Nelson are such bands, while I'm also especially into Koji Kondo and other video game composers.
