Does anyone have a favorite tv show.
My favorite show is Angel.
In fact I'm such a fan I have all five seasons.
Does anyone else have a favorite tv show?

I don't care for T.V. too much, but when I watch it, I like The X-Files, and The Office. Besides that, anything on the Science channel, or Discovery[If that counts].

Angel is great!
I like sci-fi mainly, but it would take too long to list everything I enjoy. Here's just some...
The Stargates, Buffy, the Star Treks, Twilight Zone (original), Lost In Space, Battlestar Galactica (new more than the old), Now and Again, Earth 2, Odyssey 5, Firefly, Carnivale, Farscape, 24, Planet of the Apes, Without a Trace, Smallville, Mystery Science Theater 3000... loads!
The one I make sure I don't miss being shown on TV for the first time atm is The Big Bang Theory.
All time favourite - most likely either The Outer Limits (90/00s version) or Star Trek Deep Space Nine. Early years of Stargate SG-1 are right up the top too. One of those three.
Varies from time to time. My favorite ones would include:
Scrubs
Supernatural
Deadliest Catch
The Universe
Spongebob Squarepants
Mythbusters
Most things on the Discovery Channel
Most things on the History Channel.

I absolutely love Fringe, it is the only show I will schedule my day around to make sure I can watch it every week.
Besides Fringe, I watch Mythbusters, Storm Chasers, The Universe, Anthony Bourdan: No Reservations, How It's Made, Planet Earth, Most Evil, American Dad, Family Guy, and Chimp Eden.

Storm Chasers.
Friends.
Beavis and Butthead.
Easy. Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. Both canceled for some bizarre reason by Sci-Fi. But they were the greatest shows of all time by far.

:(
why must they do this to me
WHY
Both shows are consistently easy to just sit down and watch a few episodes of. I can't think of many other story-based shows capable of that.

SG-1 might be continuing to do DVD movies, plus there's always Stargate Infinity and the upcoming Stargate Universe to watch out for!
Movies are good. But not as good a season of twenty episodes.
Stargate Infinity was a short-lived, cheap-*** cartoon copy that weaseled its way into getting MGM to license it. It is total crap.
But why only one Series playing? Why not two? Plus, I'm a not so sure about the storyline of Stargate Universe so far. It seems like it would get dull and repetitive. But that doesn't mean that I won't keep my hopes up that it will be awesome.
The Simpsons. Though perhaps Futureama might be ahead if there were new episodes.
serotonin_wraith
11-30-2008, 04:18 PM
Yeah, I'm half with you, Matt. But SG-1 went for 10 years as a series, and all good things must come to an end. Try the official DVDs if you want more - commentaries, behind the scenes, etc. Opens up the universe some more.
Oh, have you tried the Stargate audio books recently released? I've heard a couple, they're pretty good.
Uhh, what else? You can find the same actors in other shows - The Outer Limits especially. Made by the same company too.
Sorry if you knew any of that.
Ah yeah, and we disagree on Infinity. Yeah, it's cheap and cheesy, but I like it! Not as canon, but stand alone entertainment.

I'll list a few of my favorites.
That 70's Show - Funny show and I think most people can relate to the situations on the show.
Carnivale - Weird, dark, scary, and crazy show, to bad it was only 2 seasons.
Twin Peaks - Like Carnivale but with a different setting and different types of character's.
Mythbusters - I like how they combine common every day myths with science to prove either for or against a theory.
CSI - Not a fan of the Miami one, and haven't watched much of the New York one but the original is awesome.
Smallville - I recently borrowed the first two seasons from a friend and have been getting into it.

Doctor Who, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Secret Saturdays, Naruto, Bleach, and Mirobito.
(Yes, I watch cartoons and anime.)
But that's just out of the ones I watch now. There's others I used to watch, and loved, too, like Xiaolin Showdown, Avatar: The Last Airbender... and many others.

Ah, looks like I'm not the only one who likes Dr. Who. ^^ I'm also waiting for the next season though...
I usually don't watch tv much, but when I do I like to watch:
1.The Simpsons
2. Dr. Who(like I said above)
3. Star Gate
4. Star Trek
5. How I Met Your Mother
6. SOMETIMES I'll watch some PBS nature, history, Riverdance/Celtic Woman thingy....(we don't get the history channel 'n whatnot)...but PBS usually sucks so....
Some of their history shows are good though...I think Band of Brothers(very good WW2 series. I love watching WW2 movies, shows, documentaries, ect btw) was aired on PBS.

I just watch television in general (Except for late night television)(And the gore fests), but my current shows are the older Family Guy episodes, the older Nickelodeon shows (Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents before they became...weird), and House.
Too bad I can't find House anymore. It used to be on USA (channel, not country) all the time. A couple of things I also want to throw in there are Colbert Report and Comedy Centeral Presents (I'll watch it depending on what topic the comedians are going after.)

I think currently, my favourite TV shows are Clone Wars and Venture Brothers. Although VB is straying a bit too much from their original concept. The first season is a lot more classic looking back at it. Now it's almost too strung together.
Clone Wars is just great, no matter what people say. It just feels like Star Wars, moreso than the prequels did. It had a shakey start, but each episode just gets better. And the trailer for Season 2 looks outstanding!
As for "All-Time" favourites, it would have to be Batman The Animated Series. This show really got the tone of Batman and his world down pat, and it became the new standard of what Batman should be. Kevin Conroy is the ultimate Batman, and the rest of the cast seems to embody the ultimate versions of those characters as well. Yes, some of the animation was not top-notch at the beginning, but stupendous storytelling that didn't talk down to people when other cartoons did at the time was just great.

Other characters that have left are Bob, Barbara (though they appeared in one of the Suite Life on Deck episodes), Tape-worm, you know the rest. :P It's quite strange how it is on a boat, but also interesting. I don't know much of the other characters, because there had been some good guests as well, like when they did the crossovers with Hannah Montana and That's so Raven. Muriel was funny, and the little girl that was always with Tapeworm.
As to Carey Martin, yeah, I saw her in a few episodes. Do you guys have any favorite episodes? I like one where Mosbey goes back in time and tells them a story of when he was younger and working for the Tipton.

I don't really have any favorite episodes. I also liked the one in which Zack and Cody got Super Powers from wishing on a shooting star. That one was pretty funny. And I haven't seen the episode you mentioned, because I live in Australia, where less of the episodes have been showed. And yes, I have seen that Hannah Montana and That's So Raven crossover. It was quite weird. Wasn't it Carey's birthday in that episode or am I thinking of a different one?

I think they did a few, not just one crossover, however, I saw those a few years back, so I really don't recall what was all about: I think Hannah was having a concert of some sort, and she stayed at the Tipton, but whatever happened there I really don't remember.
The one I was talking about was like a Halloween episode, where the Tipton has a haunted room. Anyway, a young Mr. Mosbey goes back in time, and you can see him with an afro, combing his hair. It was a good episode, made me laugh too much. Esteban, London, and the twins make an appearance there, as well as Arwin.

i also watch Mythbusters, "How it's made", The Simpsons and AirCrash Investigation.
