My favorite enemies would have to be Ganon in your sword duel thing with him in TP, Mirror Link in OoT, and Octoroks just because they're such a classic enemy. Been around since game 1. Plus if you say doctor octorok, it sounds funny.

I liked the leevers in Zelda 1, especially the red ones...it's fun to just plow through them with one of the better swords and get a kajillion rupees.

The Leevers, Octoroks, and Lynels were all cool in the overworld of the original Legend of Zelda. If you still had the wooden sword, those blue lynels were really tough, but it was a fun challenge.

I dont know if there was an enemy in a Link to the Past that I didn't like. All the various knights and soliders wre fun to battle. Although my favorite thing to do, was use the Fire Rod against the Gibdo's and Freezor's.

I can't name a single monster I like overall from the series, there are monsters in each game that I like better than others. Simply for random reasons. But if I had to pick a single one that I usually always like? The Gleeok. I love the name, I've loved their design and simply the fact of a multiple headed dragon-like monster.

My favourite enemy would probably be the Chuchus from TP. I love how you can kill them to get different potions; red, green, blue, and yellow. I also loved how if two of them combined it would form a purple Chuchu which gave you a special surprise. ;) And according to http://www.ZeldaWiki.org/ there is also a special Chuchu, but I have yet to com across one.

Hmm, my favorite enemy's would have to be Darknuts, from any game. They are kind of a challenge, which I like, and it's like a big sword to sword battle when you're up against 3 or 4 of them, such as in TP (the cave of ordeals) and WW (the savage labyrinth.)

The Darknuts of TP were the most challenging sword enemies in the Zelda series(in my opinion), so fighting them was incredibly fun.

My favorite boss, however, has always been the King Dodongo of Ocarina of Time. I don't know why, but he's always been fun to play against.

Like most of the people here, Iron Knuckles and Darknuts are my favorite enemies. Very fun to kill.

Darknuts are really, really fun to fight in groups. After getting the master sword in WW, try to get all the moblins and darknuts to follow you around the castle and fight them all at once.

It's incredibly funny to watch them hurt themselves.

I have two favorites, and they are the following:

Octorok: Simply classic. Although the enemy itself is not difficult to defeat (excluding the boss in Minish Cap), it is merely the idea that this monster has been involved in some form through-out the series, until Twilight Princess. To me, to sum up the Zelda series with the name of one enemy: it'd be the octorok.

ChuChu: While this enemy again, is not too difficult to defeat - it is one enemy that sums up the more recent games in the series. They, like the octorok, are an enemy that stick with me and are one of the first enemies I can remember defeating while in game.

The Darknut is WAY better than Iron knuckles though, because they can actually make a tough fight. I think they should make Darknuts like Dark Link in OoT, with counterattacks and the ability to parry your stabs.

Of course I have to give a shout out to the Octorocs for the obvious reason of being in the series from the beginning. But besides that i'll list a few others that I liked, I didn't necessarily list all the games they are in, just which ones I liked best from whichever game.

Patra (LoZ) - Just a fun enemy to fight with the swirling outer ring that would move in and out.
Rope (LoZ) - Who didn't go to Dungeon 2 just to get some rupees from these guys.
Cucco's (OoT) - Not much of an enemy, but hilarity ensues once they start attacking you.
Lizalfo (OoT) - I really don't know why but these guys were fun, I guess it would have to be the way they walk and jump at you that makes me laugh.
Bokoblin (TP) - It made me laugh how idiotic these guys are, you could walk right behind them without them knowing and then they would get all excited and make a little noise when they finally spot you.

The Iron Knuckles (or Dark Nuts) in almost all of the Zelda games, the Gerudo guards (OoT), Stalfos (OoT), the archer bokoblins (TP) and I can't remember which ones I liked most in Wind Waker. Possibly because all the other enemies are overshadowed by the Floor Masters >_<

Also, I love dragons, so it's only natural that I liked Aquamentus in the first game (Gleeok not so much xD)

LoZ: The ever classic Octorok. :D
AoL: Iron Knuckle, the most advance combat of the 2D half of the series takes place when ever these guys roll around.
ALttP: There aren't many that stick out, but I would say Stalfos warriors.
OoT: Iron Knuckles, ReDeads, Dead Hand, Poes, and the rest of the undead cast.
MM: Mostly the same as OoT
WW: Darknuts, although not a challenge, thanks to the parry attack, but still fun.
TP: Darknuts, they were increased in awesome level ten fold from WW.

I think the Iron Knuckles / Darknuts are always my favourite just because I like the imagery of Link fighting a large armoured foe. Throughout the series I just find them to be compelling for this reason, and I think it was all culminated in TP with the awesome battle in the Temple of Time with a Darknut miniboss. That's just a fantastic scene in my opinion, which really paid off on my love for these characters.

For me, these are the most time consuming enemies that aren't bosses, so I have the most fun fighting them. There seems to be something more satisfying about takeing out an Iron Knuckle or a Darknut, probably because I consider them some of the toughest enemies you can meet in the series. Well, in the 3D games at least... :rolleyes:

Also, using all those special skills in TP to defeat a Darknut is extremely awesome. And being able to use a Darnut's sword in WW is endless fun as well. ^^

What with their "Haha, you can't hit me for damage that well, whilst I smack you for usually decent damage with my large iron sword-like club".

I really don't like any of the enemies in LOZ, being that if I liked them, it would be slightly harder on me for killing them all.


All in all I kind of like the small metal enemies in TP......*goes to Zeldawiki*.....
The Helmasaur, yeah thats it. Reminds me of Aron from the HoennDex.
The cute little deadly monster. I have too much fun with those in Hyrule Field with my Double Clawshots.....

Darknut/Iron Knuckle:
Ths is probably the hardest Zelda enemy outside of the bosses that I've faced in any Zelda game. I find these especially hard in LoZ (for a mix that they move unpredictibly and that you can hit them from anywhere like other enemies) by far.

They are also the hardest enemy in OoT and TP, none of the enemies in either game gave me as much a challenge than these guys. They take strategy, not just random hacking and slashing until they die (well in TP there are they fully armored Dodongo's but they die quickly in comparison).

They aren't really that hard 1-1 but they still give you a bit of a challenge, It's when you attempt to take 2-3 of them on at once (like in Ganon's Castle in both OoT and TP or the 3 in the Cave of Ordeals). They take more skill to lure on out to take them down one by one with your sword, although you could have done it by other means.

I don't think that any other enemies (outside of the mini-boss or boss groups) in the newer games pose any threat at all, they are just too easy but when you get to the early games many of them come close to beating the Iron Knuckle (although I'm not sure if this is the correct name for them), It is just that they have to be hit from the sides or behind.

I have to say the Darknuts. They're so fun to fight in Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker. I love using a few hidden skills while facing the TP one, and using the parry attack on the one on TWW. So fun. :3

The Moblin like creatures are Bulblins and the boars they ride are called Bullbos.

There are many enemies that i like, some of my favourites are:
Octorok - Classic Zelda enemies, it wouldn't be a Zelda game without them (yet TP somehow pulled it off).
Gibdo - I loved burning these creatures with whatever item I could. Fire Rod in ALttP, Lantern in TMC.
Like Like - The idea of a creature that eats your shield. Genius.
Darknut - I have enjoyed all variations of this enemy, but enjoy most the ones from in TP, they were such fun to fight.
Wizzrobe - These enemies were fun to take on in the earlier games. There appearence in the more recent games they have been in makes them look stupid and these enemies have to go back to how they were.
Helmasaurs - I have fun killing these enemies with their armour like helmets. Its fun pulling them off.

As we all know, the Zelda series is an action-packed adventure from the very beginning. Most of the action? The awesome sword fighting sequences, with the addition of various other weapons and BOMBS!!!! Back on topic, What is your all-time favorite Zelda fiend you've faced and why??? Some of my personal favs are the Darknuts from TP and the Moblins from WW. I enjoyed these because to beat them you would need skilled fighting techniques. What are yours?

I absolutely love the Stalfos, there are extremely fun to fight. I recently played through Ocarina of Time again and loved coming across Stalfos. They're one of those enemies where you kind of have to fight a bit more strategically, you know? Use your shield a little and then jump attack, whatever. The Darknuts are also pretty good, especially in TWW in my opinion.

Probably the Shadow Beasts from Twilight Princess. I like fighting them and the music that plays when you fight them is awesome. And they can come back to life if you defeat all but one.

man i used to love letting a bunch of pols voice clump up together and then slicing through them all with one single arrow in LoZ. They are a pain in the *** to kill with the sword so it was a gratifying feeling to take them all out like that.

Oh and Stalfos from Oot were very very fun to fight. Felt like you were really in a duel and you had to think. It also helps that those guys were a legitimate threat!
