Tatl was so freaking stupid. she would always give weak info on enemies. For me I give her a 3/10 for lousy info.

Navi was annoying and found weakenesses but... weaknesses for enemies who you could kill easy. Hardly ever for bosses.

I gave her a 6/10. I didn't like her personality at all, and she always seemed to give info on things I didn't need to know, and didn't give as much help on things I was trying to figure out. For Contrast, Navi would get a 9/10 from me. But perhaps that's because back then, some things in 3D Zelda were new to me.

I'd give her about a 6.5-7. I liked her cynical, or sometimes sarcastic personality. True, she was a real pain sometimes , but others she added a sort of "comic relief" to the game, with her annoying rants about Skull Kid and whatnot.
Basically I liked her "now what?" disposition. However, I she wasn't my favourite, either. But all in all, she wasn't such a bad companion.

i dunno, Tatl has a bit of an additude. Ok she may be not honest with her feelings with link, but still, she is like playing a big shot. ok compared to navi, she at least has a personallity, altough its not the best personallity i have ever seen.

ow yeah and the way she gives you info about enemies.
at least navi gave the info in a proper way.
example:
"what? don 't tell me you never heard a green chu chu, if you defeat it, items will pop out out of his stomach"....or something like that.

well miss bigshot fairy, of course i never heard of it or else i would not ask.

Good point, but I think the game was confusing enough without Tatl adding to the mess.

Very much so. I liked Navi's "Hey" "What's up?", etc. but that bell just really got on my nerves. And I don't like people (or fairies) who get 'tudey on me... >.<

I quite liked Tatl. I had no problem with Navi, or Tatl. However I hated Celia. But Tatl was just fine, and I found her nicer and more helpful then Navi.

Tatl entertained me for quite a while. She has a nice personality and didn''t point out the obvious. Since it was pretty easy to find an enemy's pattern I didn't need her very often. And the fact that she didn't lead me through the game made it better.

I missed Navi so much. Tatl was sooo much more annoying!!!!!! Ugh :x Tatl did have a way bigger attitude then Navi but that's not the reason I didn't like her. I loved Midna and she was a smart mouth sometimes. I just did not like Tatl, gave her a 5. Not too bad, but not too good.

Tatl was ok so I gave her a 5. She didn´t help much but she didn´t bother me much either and that I consider a good thing. Guess I could never give a "sidekick" a score of 10. I am far too solitary :lol:

I'm really not a fan of any of Link's fairy partners,but she seemed to be the most developed character wise of the fairy partners.
Plus she does not give Link as many hints as Navi did,which is another reason that I find Navi annoying.

So to sum it up she's a sightly above avenge character.

I don't think she fails for a companion, she did her job and the fact she did some conversations (for example with Kafei) was also funny, she was very bossy, hahah!.

I'm not giving her more because I think other side-kicks have since then developed better.

I liked Tatl 10/10 mostly because i like her personality, even if she was rude. XD I hated Navi because everytime i Z targeted, she goes like "Hey!" and it got really annoying, and i could hardly hear Tatls jingle in battles, but i wished you could have Tael instead :P.

Tatl was a brat. But she fit into the whole tsundere female character Nintendo has taken a liking to when it comes to TLoZ (Tatl, Tetra, Midna). She had a little bit of a story, though it wasn't all that interesting. I liked her little brother, Tael, much more, but it was good to see that she was protective of him.

She starts out snotty and eventually warms up to Link and deals with her own faults... it wasn't too bad. I mean, she provided some character development, backstory, and interaction without stealing the spotlight from our hero, Link.

I didn't like her personality.... but, I did like the way she was used in Majora's Mask. So, I'm just going to split it right down the middle and give her a five. I've seen better, and I've seen worse.

tatl was never one of my favorite characters, in fact i pay less attention to her than my messy room. i would have much rather had her brother tael as a companion, i mean cmon, a purple and red fairy? awesome colors!!!

I gave her a 6 because she has a personality, attitude, and was a refreshing replacement for Navi. The reason I didn't score her higher is because of her look. The koolest fairy I've ever seen is Tael, with his dark purple light emitting from him. Every time I see Tael, I think, "That would be Dark Link's fairy if he had one." I think it would have been better to have Tael follow you around, or at least switched the looks around for the fairies, because Taels look fits the mood of the game better.

I couldn't agree more about Tatl, but I would probably give Tatl at least a 7/10 and Navi a 9/10. Navi just seemed much more helpful.

Well, actually I liked Tatl. I found that she had much more personnality than Navi, which was good. Navi was cool too, but she had kind of... no feelings at all. She seemed almost like a robot. Yeah. Tatl was funny, and I always liked her. Tael was pretty cool for a fairy too. I think it would have been better to have Tael with us. But maybe not, after all. He would have been hard to spot in dark places. Tatl is white, so we can see wherever she goes.

So, in all, Tatl deserves a 8/10. I would have give her a higher grade, but if we compare her to others sidekicks, like Midna, she is clearly not the best one. Navi would have get a 5/10.

I honestly loved Tatl and Navi pretty evenly, because I didn't really focus on them telling me the weaknesses of enemies as much, but how much they talked and plus it was just cool having a fairy follow me. I want all 3D Zelda games from now on to have a fairy follow me.

So, anyway, the only downside I can see for tatl is her name, which is why i rate her a 9/10. =P

I prefer the bell to Navi's "Watch out!" etc. in battle, but sometimes Tatl just pisses me off, like when I was on the third night on a fresh game, waited at the Clock Tower entrance, then pushed forward to rush into the Clock Tower when it opened only to hear that bell and see Link forced to stop to listen to Tatl say, "Don't stop now! The clock tower blah blah blah" I was like "B****, YOU stopped ME."

I give her a 10/10 compare to Navi cause she is more helpful, has more expression and emotion then Navi, fits in with the story, and her sound effect bell was less annoying than "HEY LISTEN". Plus, I feel sorry for her and her brother Tael while watching the cut scenes. Makes you sad to watch their friend Skull Kid deteriote with the Mask on and the seperation of the siblings.

absolute b****, sorry but i just hated her so much, at least midna redeemed herself (shes my fav character from a game ever) and navi, was annoying sometimes yeah but thats what i liked her, shes so useless but tries her best to help you, like when she couldnt help you when ganondorf was trying to get the triforce off of you. and doesnt backchat like that other b**** tatl, she also ruined the ending. telling link to get lost cos they have a carnival to go to, im surprised link didnt want to kill her, could i wouldve killed her the moment she was seperated from the skull kid and the majoras mask.

Once, when there was a dungeon puzzle that involved bombing a hole in the ceiling (which was the floor in the room above), she wouldn't even tell me what to do. She'd just turn green, go by it, and say, "What? Don't tell me you haven't figured it out!" Navi would have said, "Look! There's a weak place in the ceiling. Maybe you can let some light in from above, Link!" I dislike her because her hints are far more vague.

I don't really like her personality, she keeps telling me "Don't tell me you don't know ...!", at least she is better than the temperamental Navi, even so, those two were kind of useless during my journey. Tatl gave me some info during my first steps at Zelda MM, but that were kind of useless, since I played OOT before MM. When I'm about to complete my journey, she turns out to be USELESS! No good info at all, and some anger over Link. Well, they are like... tutorials? Hmm, by the way, I think she helped me a little to explore Termina.

I give her a 2/10. MM was the first LoZ game I played and I was sick and tired of this girl telling me what I could and couldn't do. Also she had no voice. I know a lot of people get really anoid with Navi's "Hey! Listen!" but I preferred it. Actually I overall preferred Navi. She was what she was supposed to be, a loyal sidekick. Tatl was just someone who needed help from Link and told him what to do all the time.
