View Full Version : Future weapons!!
God Of Lightning

I was wondering, what items/weapons should be made into the next zelda game. I was thinking maybe an item that makes certain monsters your allies!
Dark link
01-05-2008, 02:34 AM
Well princess twilight did something different with combining items such as the bow and bombs, maybe we'll see that in the new wii game with different items, like maybe a lantern and bow/arrow would combine into a fire arrow? I would have liked to see that in princess.

Maybe some day they'll make magic a weapon in the game. Not in the form of fire arrows, ice arrows, and the like, but in the form of actual light rays or ice clouds, etc fired from your hand. Just an idea.
Dark link
01-05-2008, 11:00 AM
Then wouldn't it be too easy to kill enemies, it'll just be like what happened with phantom hourglass and the hammer, hammer kills everything in that game except bellum, which i thought it made getting everything else easy to get, such as spirit gems and ship parts
linkman8
01-05-2008, 12:21 PM
Well they'd obviously have to tweak the magic powers so they weren't all-powerful or make it so the enemies aren't all that vulnerable to them, and whatnot. It's not like they'd be like a cheat code, they'd have limitations.
Dark link
01-05-2008, 01:19 PM
Well if thats true maybe they could make it so it uses up a lot of magic each time u do it so then it could be strong without being godly.

Have you not played Adventure of Link nor A Link to the Past? AoL had several spells that harmed enemies and ALttP had Bombos, Quake, and Ether.
Edit : And huh...Dins Fire could harm enemies Oo

Din's fire wasn't really worth using...I saved my magic for naryu and light arrows.

I never finished AoL, and yes, I have played ALTTP. The Bombos, Quake, and Ethers aren't like what I was talking about. Just think: Link being able to fire fireballs or lightning rays at a single opponent in 3D. I think it would be cool.
Caleb

I think it would be cool for Link to actually use the Triforce of Courage in the form of magic... for once...
I mean, I don't see Ganondorf or Zelda running around trying to get items to make themselves better (other than Ganondorf getting the Trident of Power [Four Swords Adv. & A Link To The Past]).
Chrono
01-06-2008, 06:18 PM
Yeah he should be able to...Hopefully we'll see something along those lines in the next Zelda...I know SSMB has Link using the triforce as attacks..hmm
linkman8
01-06-2008, 08:46 PM
Yeah, that's another thing I never really understood. Ganondorf can use the Triforce of Power to turn into Ganon, the giant pig, while Link can't really use his Triforce of Courage. I mean, the Triforce of Courage should have some powers at least.
Dark link
01-06-2008, 09:45 PM
the only power that i see the triforce of courage having is well, none, i think it's more of a symbol of the gods deeming link worthy of the master sword or worthy of obtaining the master sword's true power.
Mases
01-30-2008, 10:34 AM
The Triforce of Courage, gives Link courage..?
Maybe since he has the triforce peace, he is able to go about his quest, gather items, equiptment, and fight off all the differet monsters. Maybe if he never had his triforice piece, he would just be a wimp who was scared. That wouldn't be much of a video game now would it.
Imagine if they made a modern day Zelda game. Well, modern being like, taking place in the real world from like 250 years ago. Link being able to use a pistol or musket, haha. I think if anything could ruin the Zelda series, this would be it.
I'd like to see my magic of some sorts with any of the various elements that you seen in other fantasy adventures. Like in previous games with the fire rod or ice rod. How about some sort of water or lightening attack. Maybe this is too pokemon-ish, but we should give Link some Psychic powers, hehe. I'm sure they could implement a bit more magic and use it creatively.
linkman8
01-30-2008, 11:32 AM
Hm.. Psychic powers... I've got it! Implement them into the game in the same form as they were in the game called "Second Sight", where you can use telekinesis, psy blasts, posession, etc. It could be interesting.
Chrono
01-30-2008, 04:50 PM
Ok, but Link doesnt alwys have the triforce of Courage...in LoZ he doesnt. In AoL he doesnt till the end, ALttP, not till the end, OoT, after wielding the Master Sword, MM he does, TP he does, TWW he doesnt till near the end...and well you get my point....

Find a <insert fancy magic item name here> and be able to knock enemies aside, doing damage, at the cost of magic. With it also being able to move certain blocks.

02-03-2008, 11:08 AM
Hopefully the magic meter will return. And I think The game's name will include a rod that can use the elements. Probably a DS game I can't see this as a Wii/Gc Game. With each temple you can it's attribute, Ice, Earth, Water, etc. They might come up with something like this.
Also when the ball and Chain was introduced first thing came to mind, Medevil. So it'd be cool to add an axe..
Kybyrian
02-03-2008, 02:48 PM
I'd like to see the magic meter return too. It was always fun to use magical attacks.
Alder Dragon
02-08-2008, 12:25 PM
Turn enemies into allies? Like the psychosis gun from Perfect Dark? That would be interesting but I don't think it would be useful. And something being interesting alone without being useful is worthless.
Like Caleb said, I'd like to see Link using forms of magic again, especially via the Triforce of Courage. I think Magic in Zelda could go a long way.

I agree. The classics are the best. Maybe some spells like in AoL being brought back, but nothing much more.
linkman8
04-04-2008, 08:02 AM
Agreed that the classics are probably the best, but I'm generally willing to accept new weapons. I mean, look at TP, they had some new, generally creative weapons, and they did a good job.

magic is good, but link isn't a wizard. He could use some stuff like a magic meter, but fireballs from his hands. Thats just killng it. An axe would be a smart idea. A medival weapon maybe to cut through giant plants...It would be cool just to pick up random stuff lying around. You can still have ur selection, but other things too.
Chrono

Link may not be a wizard, but he is hylian. Hylians are known for their magic wielding skills. Games like 'The Adventure of Link' and 'A Link to the Past' proves this.
Majora
04-05-2008, 07:59 AM
TP gave me a small idea for it. Maybe there could be an item where you could use it on most enemies, and you would start controlling the enemy at the cost of your magic meter. Of course, it wouldn't work on LoZ monsters like Gohma, just ones that you can find in the field or commonly in a dungeon.

Eh. When it comes to a new Zelda game, its the exploration I look forward to more then new weapons. As long as I get my sword, bow and shield, I'm usually good.
Perhaps using the hookshot to disarm your opponent, kinda like Metroid Prime 3? That would be a pretty cool way of reusing it.
linkman8
04-10-2008, 05:00 PM
Or take that farther and make Link able to use enemies' weapons, kind of like in WW, but more so. Like in an Elder Scrolls kind of way. (Yes, I refer to that a lot. :) )
Chrono
04-13-2008, 06:33 PM
What I'd to see more of in the future is upgrades. Ever since ALttP and LA, we havnt had much variety of upgrades. Yeah we've had the seed holder upgrade (for slingshots and deku nuts), bombs, and arrows. Aside from the bombs and arrow upgrades, who cares. What needs to return is upgraded weapons. Like the magic boomerang, golden tempered master sword, silver arrow (yes theres the light arrow, but I dont recall if it actually placed more damage on regular enemies). Not saying those exact weapons should return, just the idea of the thing.
Just think, a 3D Zelda game with actual vilages throughout Hyrule that contain blacksmiths and such. MM did have the one blacksmith and gave the swords you had quite more variety...But I think it'd be pretty sweet to have several blacksmiths and inventory shops as if it truly were an RPG game.

Lightning rays would be really cool!! But I do not wanna see some kind of lazers. Medievel weapons in different varieties would also be nice :)

Well I think that in the case of medieval weapons, Link should be able to use a spear. I think an ax would be a lot like the sword already is(maybe a bit stronger and slower) but a spear would be completely different. I liked how in TP the ball and chain was totally new. If nintendo was creative enough with the items in new games, that would make them a little better. Oh yes, and magic should definitely be used to a higher extent than it ever has before.

07-20-2008, 10:24 PM
I personally thought the Ball and Chain in TP was really corny. I dunno Link throwing a ball around his head which is like 5 times his weight seems a little to far fetched.
I think more moves like Dins fire should be invented... personally.
As well I wouldn't mind seeing upgrades, like avenged said.
The only problem with putting in alot of weapons, which might not have alot of significance is that all of the zelda games have had a certain way of using the weapons.
If you get a weapon in a temple, then you know that you have to use that weapon to defeat the boss for that temple. As well as to solve most of the puzzles which come after finding the weapon. (OOT really follows this to a tea).
I think that adding perhaps more horses to the game would be cool. And perhaps using the different races as allies in battle. maybe calling upon the Zoras in the ocean to help you defeat enemies, and gorons of course.
OMFG they should make a zelda RTS

I'd like to see the magnetic gloves make a comeback. It would also be really cool if the dominion rod could be used to control the environment or even other enemies(except bosses of course) Link should also get a magic staff that can cast magic spells.

SWORDS!! there should be a game like MM but instead of collecting masks you collect different swords.

how about a spell to summon the spirit of an enemy you defeated, like in Fable
and maybe some more transformations; you actually could be a moblin octorock, or subrosian in OoS/OoA by collecting the rings
RINGS. They are small and could be a great item in a 3-D zelda

I think link should get a spear, he could throuw it or stab enemies at a range. No what would be even cooler is if Link had two swords insterad of just one! Just think, Gannondorf used the triforce of power to split the master sword in half making two mini-blades instead of one! It would be so sweet if u could do that!
neo4826
11-15-2008, 10:37 AM
in my opinion, the game would be just as fine with just the arrows, sword, and shield. theres not much else you really need. as someone mentioned, the weapons are usually just aids in solving puzzles.
There would be no need to have a scythe, or axes, or any other blades.. you already have a sword, it can slice and dice the same way as any. also, everyone keeps saying they should include more magic, like shooting fireballs. to me, its just another projectile, same as the arrows. plus, i wouldnt want link to be a mage or wizard of some sorts. i think the magic should stick to the weapon's ability. sure, a magic rod would be nice like in the past, but if you actually think about it, it isnt that great and would just take up space in your inventory.
to my own ideas, i think it would be awesome if instead of gaining a new weapon to use against a boss, you gain a weapon from defeating the boss, one that either mimics its powers or that he himself (or herself..) used.
and btw, i liked the ball and chain. but it honestly was a bit far fetched... i think if link were to use questionable items like that, it should show in his effort. yeah he waddled while trying to hold it and walk with it, but he threw it and swung it like it was a play toy. if i remember clearly...
i did like that idea about customizing the sword. Having many different types of blacksmiths with different ranges of mastery and style... btw, that two swords idea would be very fun to use, but not mini swords.
most importantly though, although i did very much like TP, i could care less for the transforming.. i didnt like having to spend half the game as a wolf when i wanted to use link's weapons, much less having to rely on that form. i did like transforming in MM, but thats what the whole game was about, being able to transform into the different races or use masks to have different abilities.. i wouldnt like transforming as a random ability.

i believe the game is good as is with the normal weapons we usually see (hammer, bow, bombs, hookshot/grappling hook, etc..)
i also really liked the flying disc thing you get in Twilight Princess.
if they were gonna add new weapons i would just modify some old ones to make them seem new.
for example:
crossbow instead of a regular bow.
a boomerang with spikes on it or something like that.
insted of ice arrows and fire arrows give Link some real magic and let him shoot out ice and fireballs (they wouldnt be super strong but they would be as much damage as fire and ice arrows)
someone before said that Link should actually get some magic powers from the triforce of courage since Zelda and Ganondorf have magic from their triforce pieces and i totally agree with that. maybe they should make a Zelda game that focuses on magic. instead of collecting items you have to learn a bunch of spells that require you to get past the puzzles you need to get past.
thats how Majoras Mask was. you still got some items but the masks were the real items in the games. do something like that, you still get items but its the magic spells that progress the game.

I would not exactly prefer the weapons becoming modern, although the bombs, crossbow, etc are more modern - but rather use some more fantasy type weapons, or medieval weapons. For instance, spears, maces, or flails. I also would enjoy seeing more enchanted, or magical items.

sword 1: http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m266/steelcat97/th_forumthreadsword.jpg this is the trisword. it holds the combined power of a sword, the triforce, and a gasha seed (gasha seeds are from oos and ooa.).
sword 2: http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m266/steelcat97/th_forumthreadsword1.jpg this is the spirit sword. it contains the powers of Ceila, Leaf and Neri. it also holds the sands of hours that were obtained from bellum.

I know this is a joke but that is a bit over the top.
For me, I would have many different swords, like Master Sword, Biggoron Sword, Picori, Four Sword, Golden, Fire Sword, Ice Sword, and loads of others.
There should be a Zelda fighting game. Choose your character, then sword, then an arena. Just imagine, Link Vs. Zelda on Hyrule Castle, Zant and Ganondorf in the Twilight Realm, and there should be a retro mode, where everyone is pixilated.
The Legend of Zelda: Friend or Foe
The Legend of Zelda: Sacred Swords
The Legend of Zelda: Final Battle
Just some possible titles for it

Hmmm...extra powers would be good, but I am fine with his current weapons.

now this is my opinion i say that if they have a new weapon it should and most definately be a................................................. ..... LONGER HOOKSHOT!!!!!!1111 now this will let us get around a bit more by being lazyier because we hookshot all the trees to get further quicker and if you miss you get a very long and annoying shot and pull back because it will be so long. I disagree with a spiky boomerang i didnt enjoy the gale boomerang normal/magical is great as it was and they cut out the hammer in twilight princess and replaced it with a ball and chain (yes i am finding alot of flaws in my opinion in twilight princess) so yeah for me longer hookshot and bigger hammer

I disagree with adding futuristic weapons to Zelda, as it would destroy the "feel" of it.

I think the most advanced weapon I would want to see in a Zelda game is a crossbow. However, considering Zelda already had the bomb/arrow combination maybe Greek Fire woud be an interesting addition. It would be useful agaist large groups of enemies.

-Standard attack spells. Like a blast of fire. I dunno.
-Corruption spells. Like, use it on an enemy and it attacks other enemies around it.
-Transformation spells? Infiltration. Turn into a deku, goron, gerudo, or zora and infiltrate the respective cities or the castle of hyrule for some goal. I dunno.
-Escape spells. Remember the deku nut vanishing act from OoT? I wouldn't mind doing that myself.
I also think there should be more armor and weapon options for different situations.

Welllllllllll.......... I think they should have the option of wearing diffrent clothing. Like not just tunics but maybe like Hylian armour(like the guards) or like commener clothing. Also an Uber Clawshot/Hookshot. It could have different settings to make it like the Longshot or Double Clawshot or even a grappling hook type thing. Maybe you could even use magic to use it as a telekenises sort of thing so you can move stuff around using it. Also somthing like the Spinner but like a miny hovercraft so when you dont have epona you could use it to go faster through like temples and even over water!!!

i think there should be a weapon that is held in one hand and is a circular weapon. at different edges of the circle, spikes will be pointed out so it can be used kind of like a key but also as a weapon. it will kind of look like a chucking star but it will be big enough to grasp with your whole hand and the the spikes out to the side facing forward.
I think there should be a Goron sword returning, but a whole Goron set of stuff, like the Goron armour, the Goron broadsword, the Goron shield, and the Goron shortbow. the Goron armour would be the strongest armour in the game, making him super slow but also virtually invincible to attacks, but it would make him walk really slow like he did with the iron boots in TP, and if he walked into water with them, he would sink and drown. the Goron armour would also look a bit like darbus's rocky armour/skin from TP. the goron broadsword would be an extra strong, two handed sword that can smash some walls, revealing secret rooms. The Goron shield would be a large shield the shape of the hylian shield but much bigger, with the goron symbol and some fire designs on it. the goron shortbow would be the strongest bow, able to shoot long distances, but it would have some kind of drawback, like the target isn't very accurate or something, or it could just be the strongest, most accurate bow.

A huge 2-handed sword that was really slow would be cool.
2-handed weapons have always appealed to me, like the
Megaton hammer or the Biggorons Sword.
This sword would be huge, and kill almost all enemies in 1 hit.
It would even be so big and long, that it could kill up to maybe

Double Clawshots was a brilliant idea. They should double up on EVERYTHING for the next Zelda!:clap:
Double Boomerangs! Now no angle of your enemy is unexposed!
Double Lanterns! It'll never not be bright enough, now!
Double Ball and Chain! That'd be scary as sh** to see Link coming at you swingin' two of those!
Double Iron Boots and Double Hero's Bow! So what if you don't have enough appendages? That's just plain gangsta!
Lol, that was fun. But seriously, how about this thing?
http://www.texasbeyondhistory.net/kids/images/hunting/bola.html
It's called a bola. (At least that's what the rocks are called. I'm not actually sure if the whole contraption has a name...)
It's essentially two rocks held together by a chord of some kind. What you do is twirl it around overhead, and whip it at whatever you're hunting. The intention isn't to hit with the rock, but to hit with the chord. If you do, the stones will swing around and around, essentially tying down your game.
I think Link would make great use of this weapon, especially when he's riding Epona.
Also, this could be a new breed of ammunition-based weapons for the Zelda franchise. We've been long overdue for one of those.
Oh! And and and and!.. if more hunting utilities are added to the Zelda games, hunting side-missions could be added. This could range from bringing down your game lethally, as per normal Zelda hack-n'-slash tradition, or non-lethally to add something with a different challenge to the franchise.

I like the idea of bringing back the mirror shield, like it was in OoT. It would be awesome to have a spirit temple with light that you have to shine at things. I thought it was cool how you could kill ReDeads in MM by shining light in their eyes, it made things much simpler.I wonder, how would the mirror shield look like in TP?
The hawkeye could have a little more usefullness to it in a game, Nintendo should give it another chance. I know noone really needed the hawkeye, but still, Nintendo could imrove the hawkeye and send it back into one of their newer Loz games.
The Biggoron Sword could really come back, I just loved it the way it was in OoT and would love to see more of the Biggoron sword.

On this playthrough of TP, I've used the Hawkeye a lot, mainly in finding golden bugs and poes. I wouldn't mind having the Hawkeye back.
It could get more use, though. Like if in Hyrule Field there were switches really, really, really far away on a mountain or something and you'd have a really difficult time hitting it without the Hawkeye.

Sounds like a lantern, except more techy and out of place in Zelda.
I think the biggest issue with items is that in the new games, it's so much more linear. Remember back in OoT? You could beat almost every puzzle without getting like any of the magic spells (you need Din's fire once I believe), or the Ice Arrows, or the Biggoron sword, but when you got them they added like a whole new element to everything. In the Gamecube games, basically all of the items you get, you need.
Also, I love how interactable Wind Waker was. Like if an enemy dropped it's sword, you could pick it up and use it, which also played a large role when you didn't have your sword, and you had to go find a makeshift weapon. I'd like to see more of that in the future as well, just making a weapon out of whatever you can find/stealing weapons from other enemies with swords and spears.

I certainly agree with that, I loved the whole picking up weapons thing. I liked how it evolved, at the start you needed it for the weapons, then later on you just wanted to knock down some pillars.
And I do think that there should be more unnecessary upgrades.

As Zelda has progressed, these items are getting more and more futuristic, but I think that's not actually a good thing. We might even be getting guns by Zelda 25 (*shudder*). But for as to what I hope will be in the future, I would have to say that some kind of whip or something would be pretty cool. That would make Link be... really cool. :)

I think it would be cool for Link to actually use the Triforce of Courage in the form of magic... for once...
I mean, I don't see Ganondorf or Zelda running around trying to get items to make themselves better (other than Ganondorf getting the Trident of Power [Four Swords Adv. & A Link To The Past]).
i think that the triforce of courage makes link stronger, a normal human could not be stabbed 27,000 times and live just because they found a little pink stone in a jar

I'm not too sure about future items, but I do like how that fan in the ST trailer is coming along. I would like to see Link be able to wield 2 swords at once, imagine the moves & combos you could pull off!
I would like to see a couple of things return though, such as the Biggoron Sword, the magic rods, the magic meter, the mirror shield, up-gradeable swords, the fire & ice arrows and spells like in OoT. I also like that idea of the switchshot/dualshot, where you can switch between the hookshot and the clawshot. Another good idea is to give the Triforce of Courage some power as well. An attack could be like the final smash in SSBB, where it's a devestating attack but it completely drains your magic meter.
As long as we don't see guns or things along that modern line, The Legend of Zelda will be fine.

deffinately a spear. i think you should be aloud to carry up to 5. and you can buy refills from shops. i think they should make it a close combat weapon so you can fight with it against enemies. but also, you should be able to throw it, use it as a long distance weapon. this i swhy you would need several. but i think after you throw it, it shouldnt disappear you should be able to collect it where you left it. Also as geurodo goyo said you could use it early on for vaulting and such. would be a wicked cool item.

i think it would be sweet to have main weapons other than a sword and shield. how about having like a spear, many kinds of swords, a staff, axe, etc...
ultimately, when you get to the point where you find a legendary weapon, you could have a choice. you can pick the master sword or the master staff or the master axe or the master spear and each would have special abilities unique to that weapon.

They had something like that in Wind Waker. You could pick up the Moblins' spears and either use them for close combat or throw them. But like we both said, I think it would be cool if it had a practical use as well, such as vaulting over small gaps early on in the game.

Well, in Spirit Tracks (according to what I've seen on the Nintendo Channel trailer) you can see a button at the bottom of the DS touch screen with Link's face on it and the stylus was guiding a Phantom knight so they're must be an item of some sort that Link uses to control it.
Other than that, I think the tomahawk should come back.

I would not like to see Link with a spear. When I think of spears and fantasy-medieval games, I think of horse/pegasus knights. Link may use a horse in some games, but he is certainly not to type to ride it in all missions. His sword is practical.
The hookshot got upgraded to longshot and then to double claw shot. What's another popular weapon? The bow and arrow. Thanks to Link's Crossbow Training, I think it's safe to assume that use of a crossbow will one day be implemented into TLoZ.
Bombchus have become more popular, so I think we can also expect an upgrade on those as well. Maybe something similar to a mine, just not so advanced. Maybe a heat-seaking bombchu. You never know.
I do think that being able to take your enemies' weapons should be brought back. That was awesome. I also think that magic should be brought back. In OoT, it'd have been cool if the medallions gave you an ability.... kinda like Din's Fire, Farore's Wind, and Nayru's Love did. I think something like that should be implemented in future games.
I think hand-to-hand combat of some sort should be implemented. Hitting an enemy with your fist or the butt of your sword would be neat. Already in TP we could use the shield to knock back foes... it should be developed some more. If the shield isn't equipped, Link should be able to punch somebody, or even kick them.
I do know that I would not like to see a return of transformations. I do not like that, not a single bit.

If there would be a future weapon in a future i game i hope to see a some new combos like the lens of truth with bomb arrows or an new item i would like to call, Garo's Garb, it's effect would be to make you fast in attacking and retreating. it also drains some magic in use.

I really don't want to see an almighty attack using the Triforce of Courage like someone else said above, I would mind seeing Link being able to fight with a Mace or for them to bring back the Biggoron Sword. I also wouldn't mind seeing them bring back the Magic Meter and Magic Arrows from Ocarina of Time.
I don't want to see Link being able to use a spear unless it is like that out of the game Spartan: Total Warrior well instead of your average Spear that had a little pointed metal head on the top but with the is 2 large blade's on either side.
I also read up above about maybe that Nintendo could make it so that you could hit enemies with the hilt of your sword before then being able to attack them with your sword.
One Idea I would like to see is being able to slice into your enemy with the edge of your shield, It has the sharp tip at the bottom, I think that that could do a fair amount of damage, Maybe hitting them in the head with you Hilt of your Sword then being able to swing your shield so that the tip on the bottom could slice into their chest.

Links crossbow training showed that that could work, but would it be for increased power and accuracy, or maybe just one of them, with the other lower, or maybe speed. I think that it could be used, but in a way that would still allow for the bow to be used, give both some kind of use.

You know actually that just might be the case if nintendo ever put the crossbow in a future game maybe with both the regular bow for the more reliable speed aiming for z/l targeting or close distace aiming and the crossbow be more like the hawkeye/bow combo in twilight princess. just a thought to improve upon my idea.

Yeah this is a strange thought: zelda brand soda. Now by soda i don't mean the fizzy beverage that we all know, love, and are probably addicted to. I'm talking about medicinal soda. Way back in the day soda was invented not to fill the worlds caffine addiction (http://zeldadungeon.net/forum/showthread.php?t=5567#) (cuz there wasn't one) but rather as medicine which fights disease and such. Basically it was just liquid medicine then. Basically just soda as the supreme medicine in a zelda game or something like that. Also keep your negative krap to yourself.

The first one being to light all torches to enter this dungeon. And somewhere in the temple, there are two wooden walls that only burn using the Din's Fire (I've tried with the Fire Arrows and it didn't work. :)) Speaking of Fire Arrows, they can easily replace the Din's Fire.

That would be awesome. Especially if it came with a good scope system so that it would be possible to snipe stuff without having to squint into the screen.

You mean like the hawkeye that you could attatch to the bow so you could snipe in TP?

I would love to see a Crossbow gun, just because I think it would be a weapon that would definitely make some serious use of the Wii Motion Plus. It's like having a gun in a Zelda game but without actually having guns.

I like to see a new long range weapon for Link to use. For example magical spear.

While they do have a decent jump system in place what about using the boots as like a way of getting up onto a ledge faster, getting onto the ledges you couldn't climb up on, and getting past impassable gaps and such. What about that?
I'd have to agree. If any of you have ever played Assassin's Creed, then you'd know just how cool you can make simple things, like climbing up a wall. Zelda needs more of those moments if it it to survive, IMHO.
