Who is your favorite band or favorite song? I like Simple Plan, Ozzy Ozzbourne, and AC/DC. I also like Save Me by Remy Zero and Hurt by Jhonny Cash. Those are probably some of my favorites.

Mostly post-rock, think "God is an Astronaut" and "Mogwai". Those are pretty good, "Do Make Say Think" and "Explosions in the sky" too. Sometimes "Angels and Airwaves", and when I'm in the mood i usually listen punk/pop-rock. I've always been a huge fan of "Blink 182", started listening to that when i was like, 6, which might explain why i turned out as idiotic as i did, "Offspring", "Sum 41", "New Found Glory" etc. usually go around the playlist while I'm listening to Blink, certain songs from "Slipknot", "HIM", "KoRn" and "TOOL" find they're way to the playlist as well, some Progressive Trance like "Ballearic Bill" or "The Thrillseekers" but that's just for fun, with that there's usually some Hardstyle or Hardtrance. Diverse, i know, don't judge. Anywho, there's a hell of a lot more bands i could list here, but i don't see the need for that.

Hm...I have come to the point now where I prefer songs without lyrics. I like a lot of piano and minimalist music, but I also like some alternative music.
As for non-classical/piano music, I like Peter Gabriel and some of Gnarles Barkley's music, along with the Flaming Lips and Tears for Fears. I basically like a variety of music no one's heard of.

But I listen to older hiphop (Cypress Hill, Run-D.M.C, Grandmaster Flash), classical (Bach mostly), vitusio music (Antonie Durfour, Tommy Emmanuel), punk (mostly '80s Swedish Punk), fusion (Jean-Luc Ponty, Michael Brecker), experimental (Melting Banana, Mike Patton), trip-hop (Portishead, Lamb, Massive Attack), and some other strange psykadelia, country and other minor genres.

Yes, i also used to like rap, it was about protest, but they ruined the whole rap genre, like you ais, its about money and biatches ect... I really hate that.
2pac songs are still great, but the current artist make the rap genre look bad (especialy 50 cent, yes cheap songs thats not even worth 50 cent, in fact not worth downloading for free) . At least Eminem made some really great songs that has a meaning.

Quite ironic, i don 't want to sound like a racist but that a white dude makes better Rap songs with meaning then most black dudes in their own genre that they created.

So yeah, i cooled off with rap songs for quite a while now.

I love non-major rap. Some big rap songs I find great, but honestly the real good rappers are underground people, or foreign. I don't like the rap about sex or drugs, those are stupid. My favorite band is Mastodon. They're normally classified as progressive metal, sludge metal, whatever you like. I call them progressive. I think progressive as a genre interests me a lot; Bands like Rush, Dream Theater, Pink Floyd, etc. I also like music on the heavy side, that's why I like metal. Mastodon is just such a great and interesting band in my opinion. Rarely do I find anyone else that actually likes their music, but they are are very unique, and I own most of their albums. My favorite genre... is probably ska, but I say that with hesitation, because most ska gets on my nerves. When it rides on the edge of reggae, it irritates me. I really love Streetlight Manifesto, Reel Big Fish, and Big D & the Kids Table in this genre. Other than that, I avoid most ska. ^_^; I also love alternative rock and a wee bit of singer-songwriter, indie, lite rock, pop rock. Genres are a difficult thing for me. Hard to distinguish which is which.

Favorite band is most likely Mother Mother.

Favorite song is Z Movie Saga by the Fratellis.

I like old time rock n' roll, anything from the 60's or 70's, new wave (oddly enough), punk, progressive rock, psychedelia, J-Pop (sometimes), rag, some blues, 50's and big band, and heavier stuff (but I don't go nuts; Black Sabbath is my limit).

Bands I listen to include: The Beatles, The Byrds, The Velvet Underground, Black Sabbath, Bob Dylan, Buffalo Springfield, The Doors, Jeff Beck Group, King Crimson, The Lovin' Spoonful, The Pretty Things, The Who, The Rolling Stones, and a bunch of other old people.

With so many favorites, I really can't choose the best of them.
