More Zelda?

Does anyone think there will be many more Zelda games? Say how many more you think there will be. I think a few but prtobably not many.

I heard somewhere that Nintendo will continue until Shigeru dies, but I don't know if that's true or not. But me thinks that there will be a new game no later than the end of 2010.

I read somewhere that Shiguru wasn't statisfied with TP. He liked the game, but he thinks it missed something. so i guess we will have a new zelda soon :D (at least that's what i hope)

It'll continue as long as it's popular enough to make money. Fantasy good vs evil stories are popular thousands of years after they got started, I can't see it changing in our lifetimes.

Yes, but that's just Metroid. We still don't know about Zelda. Just because a few games did doesn't mean that Zelda will.

The only way I see an end coming to Zelda, is if I die first. Although, if something were to happen with Nintendo, such as doing something absolutely terrible to the series (although, I highly doubt this would ever happen) is the way Zelda were to end. Or if Nintendo itself ended. But eventually, all things come to an end.

Doubt it. It's very unlikely that a one of the, if not, the most known franchise would all of the sudden come to a screeching halt. That would be just like them to stop making Mario; it will never happen.

No matter who dies, Shiggy or not, we have Eiji Aonuma and the rest of the people who will pass this legendary series on to infinity. Besides, when's the last time Miyamoto ever did much of anything to help create Zelda?

I believe Zelda games will be made for 20-25 years more or so (we are almost halfway through it o.o). Why not even more? I am not really sure but the future is hard to predict and few things remain forever.

The future is always in motion... there may be future Zelda games, there may not. We may never know, for as one does one thing, it will change the future, and therefore it can not be predicted.

I agree with Shiguru! It missed something... a big something for me to! I think a new Zelda for Wii might come out this year.. late.. or mid 2010 sometime ^^

As for when Zelda ends.. I can not picture it ending anytime soon ^^

I have heard (unsure 100% if they are rumors or not) that Miyamoto was going to take the Legend of Zelda series next released game to a level that the series has yet to reach. What this could mean? I have absolutely no idea. I personally think that Miyamoto will continue the series, for quite some time. Even if something were to happen, say, to Miyamoto, I am sure he would want the series to stay around.

Everything ends sometime, but when will the Legend of Zelda series end? I cannot begin to say. I'd prefer it never end, but if it does end - I hope they go out with a bang.

This is pretty much a non-issue. As long as Nintendo exists, they will continue to create new Zelda games. Its one of their biggest franchises.

As for what form the next Zelda will take, I can't say one way or another. Nintendo has suprised me in the past, and will probably continue to do so in the future.

If you mean put Link's face one everything from cereal to sneakers, well, Link isn't marketable like Mario. Mario has that cute lovable face that makes them millions.

If you mean put Link in dozens of games not related to the core Legend of Zelda franshise, thats doubtful too, for the same reasons.

Sega is starting to screw up Sonic, so maybe Nintendo might one day screw up Zelda. I don't see that happening though.

in the end it all depends on how creative the design team is. If they keep "evolving" the game making it better and different, I see no reason for th series to end. If they do the same thing over and over.....that's another story
