Eh...Nian is a dragon like thingy in Chinese mythology, which, i actually figured out when someone asked me if i like chinese mythology, so uh, yea, i just randomly came up with it, Kast sounded fairly badass for a fantasy last name so i used it. But i just started using this username, i usually use dEUS:0.96, or some variation of, Deus = God in latin, and the 0.96 would be a version number, so like, it would be an imperfect version of god, something like a god who's realized he's god and takes advantage of it. I used 96 because, well, it's actually supposed to be a turned around rotated pisces sign, since i'm a pisces. And uh, i used the first letter as lowercase and the rest as uppercase to indicate the total opposite of god. Sho yea.

A wraith is an evil being from some sci-fi/fantasy shows I like - Stargate Atlantis and Deep Space Nine come to mind, and it's also from Lord of the Rings (but that's not a top fave of mine).

I'm a mixture of feelings and personalities - depending on what's going on in my life, who I'm with, etc. I can go to extremes, so much so I keep groups of people in my life separate from each other. For example, I can't be the same with my friends down the pub as I am in work looking after elderly people, and vice versa. If groups ever come into contact with each other, I don't know how to act so I'm pretty quiet. That hardly happens though. The different sides are still me, I don't fake a persona. I just have lots of them. I'm a mixed bag.

So I took two extremes and made it one username. I like the contradiction, and the unison. I forget the meaning now for the most part, I've used it for so long it just feels like me.

I obtained my username back when I was in high school...Freshman or Sophomore year if I am not mistaken. So this was about 6 years ago. Back then, playing Halo was where it was at. The first Halo in case you were wondering. Friday/Saturday nights, my brother, 13 of our friends and I would go over to a friend's house with 4 xbox's/TVs. We would hook them all up to each other and play 8 vs 8 through system link. We would play for hours, order Pizza from Little Ceasers and just have lots of fun. So how does this relate to my username? Well I wanted to find a good name for myself when I played Halo. We all had our own names and I wanted a unique one.

For those of you who do not know about the Halo universe, the main character (Master Chief), is what they call a Spartan II. No he is not from Sparta, it is just a code name for what he is.

With that in mind, I looked in the encyclopedia about Spartans. And I found that in Greek mythology, Menelaus was a king of Ancient Sparta, the husband of Helen, and a central figure in the Trojan War. A Spartan King....perfect. And from then on, it has stuck with me ever since.

'But Matt, you said that you use Menelaus for Halo. Why is your Xbox live account name Mr Redz?' When I bought my xbox 360 from my friend, his xbox live account came with it with a full year on it. Well, I got my username from two things, mainly one, though.
The in first Pokemon movie, Mewtwo versus Mew, a female character had a Blastoise, nicknamed Shell Shocker, which I thought was really cool, and I still do, that was my main reason.
Secondly, since I have Mario Party 2, and I play it a lot, my favourite mini-game is Shell Shocked, in that mini-game, you must blast the other players with projectiles from your shell cannon, it's really fun. :P
So yeah, I think it is pretty cool. :D

The "Axle the" parts come from "Axle the Red," a character from Megaman X5. The "Beast" part comes from "Slash Beast" from Megaman X4.

Although since then I think it's evolved into something utterly unrelated. So I suppose it does have a bit of a meaning. "Axle" would mean that I like the sound of the name and think it at least partially fits me, and "Beast" means that I like animals, monsters, and creepy things?

Let's see- was it Neopets.com? Anyway, it was a similar site, mostly for kids. My account was banned for no apparent reason, so I created a fake account while the deal was sorted out. I named it alter_egoWBTM (Who's Behind the Mask?). My friends shortened shortened my name to Alter_Ego, and then to Alter. It's pretty much stayed that way since.

I'm just a "regular athenian" existing among all these arrogant Greek intellectual gods, occasionally tossing my two cents into their debates, but not bothering to defend my opinions, and simply agreeing to disagree with anyone who tosses out an opposing remark.

The name doesn't make much since now, because these days there are a lot of regular people on the Internet, and those intellectuals rubbed off on me to the point that I'm now, ironically, one of the geekier intellectual types in the average group I encounter.

Also, there's not a lot of respect for my desire to avoid confrontation these days, and no matter how much I emphasize that I respect the other person's opinion, they just keep tearing into me and trying to force me to agree with them. So I started my file on there, and I was having trouble coming up with a name. My uncle just told me to use my own name, but with a 3 instead of an E. I know it's kinda cheesy, but it stuck.

As for my Xbox LIVE Gamertag, well, I don't have my own, so I use my dad's.

Well my name derives from the 18th century term for 'exicution' or 'brutal gorey murderer' which actually is made of two other words I combined - Metanolionisolagy + Pwnalagyagraphoicness which were insultive terms used by the aztecs and late spanish settlers to describe a person that did such a poor job and was soon to be exicuted in fron of his/her faimly. No.... ACTUALLY I wanted to name my band in guitar hero 3 'Metapwn' because I had a real passion for SSBB and I loved playing as Meta Knight, and I used 'Pwn' a lot back then so I put the two together but never got around to name the band that. Instead, I used it as a gamertag somewhere else and it just stook and now I use it EVERYWHERE - armor games, ZD, intensedebate, my fantisies, deviantART, and much more.

My username goes way back to around 06 or 07. I was signing up on Nicktropilous and needed a username. I hadn't really experienced the sort before and I couldn't use my real name so I thought of some nick character I liked. I liked to watch Avatar: The Last Airbender so I chose Jet. I typed it in and it sayed that this name was already taken. It gave suggestions with Jet and some numbers. I hate numbers on usernames because I don't think there real enough. I mean come on whose real name would be Jet137(no offense to any one with numbers in there name). I really liked the name Jet so I came up with Jetter. So there's where my name was created.

Adolf Wolf is actually from a banned WWII propaganda cartoon. It was basically the three little American pigs getting attacked by Adolf Wolf.
It's pretty funny. There's a lot of references to pop media from the time, and it makes fun of Hitler pretty good.

I think my favorite is the wolf's "Der Mechanized Huffer and Puffer."

Nah. It actually came from my old HTML tutorials site...from back before I knew that much HTML. Even though I went by HTMLKING (man, I was a pretentious little snot!) on the site itself, I was so focused on that site that just about everything I signed up for had to do with it. So I would use linebyline as my login name. So the site eventually died after I stopped updating and the domain expired, but by that time I was used to using the name. (I try to use a capital L where I can, but I always use the lowercase username).

I have relaunched that site as a personal web site that features my blog and assorted writings, some drawings, and some code (I'm still into HTML). What do all these have in common? Doing them a line at a time (or "line by line") is actually a really bad idea!

Nothing, really. It's just my online name, and it's the one name most of my online friends know me by.

I'm rarely happy with my usernames and usually end up changing them quite often, but I kinda got stuck with this one since that's what most people know me by. I've started to like it again, though.

My original username was hawk400206. Which ment hawk, crazy, fire. I feel that I sometimes look like a hawk, (do not make fun of it) I have a crazy personality, and am often mesmorised by fire. My second username is Ember Incubus. An incubus was an enemy that I saw on mabinogi and am fond of. (An incubus in real life is a celtic vampire. I showed my older sister a famouse picture of a incubus and she said it was in the first Twilight movie, so you twilight fans out there might already have a glimpse of it.) And ember, is still fire, but ember seems to mean more than fire. I think it is just the way the word sounds. If you see an Ember Incubus online, it may either be me or my brother.

Thus I added the big, and when I tried to make the name "flyingpotato" on another site it just felt incomplete without the "big" so I just use this username on more than one site.
