I don’t know if there is already a thread like this, but what is the creepiest movie you have seen? It doesn’t have to be the scariest one, but the one that gave you chills and just kind of freaked you out.
For me, it was this movie called “Descent”. I was flipping through the channels one day, and stopped on SyFy to see what was on. It was about this group of girls going into a mysterious cave for discovery. There were these things that reminded me of ReDeads in there and then they cannot find a way out. It turns into a fight for survival, and they stop trusting each other. It’s really weird. At least they were in a cave, so it was dark—that way, I don’t have to see some stuff…

Syfy always has weird stuff... Anyway, My creepy movie was probably the fourth kind a movie people get abducted by aliens in their sleep. They said it was based on a true story... well um I don't know about you but that did seem kinda real.

It was pretty creepy at the end though... and sad :(

Blarg!!! >:0
SyFy movies are teh wurst!
I say that because they play movies from The Asylum (http://www.theasylum.cc) which makes some of the worst films ever with terrible graphics and even worse writing/acting!
My most freakedoutgonnadiepleasedontkillme movie was Saw I. Lame, right?
Even though my friends made fun of how terribly it was made I was still freaked out. I had to walk home in the dark that night and I played Streetlight Manifesto while I went to bed. I was scared s**tless, and from then on I associate Streetlight Manifesto with the fear I had that night. :/

The Blair Witch Project. I first saw it when I was 9 years old, and it scared the crap out me.
Recently, its been Paranormal Activity. Definitely a frightening movie.
I was about 3 when I saw Alien, and it scared the crap out of me so yeah because of childhood trauma, I would say that is the creepiest movie in my opinion.

The creepiest movie I've seen thusfar is Paranormal Entity and The Wolfman. Pretty epic movies. Really great, sends chills up anyone's spine.

Aliens its really creepy with the Face huggers and James Horners score:yes: classic film.
The Road.
It was downright depressing the entire movie through and had some seriously disturbing parts that made me feel more nauseous then when I watched The Changeling. e.e

The first Alien movie.
I watched it when I was 4 years old, but I have to say....after the initial shock, terror and nightmares drained out of me (3 months later) I grew to love the Xenomorphs and would even pretend to be one during recess.
:P
Maybe there's something wrong with me.
Anyway, one movie that always gives me the creepies is The Thing.
If you want some scary stuff, I would highly recommend it.

The aliens 2 really creeped me out, they let me watch it when I was 7 years old. I still don't understand why :D, I mean it was at some sort of kindergarden
Another creepy movie is John Carpenters Halloween (1978)

I don't enjoy horror films so outside of that genre, I'd have to say A Clockwork Orange. Incredibly good movie, but it deals with rape, gang murders and there's a lot of disturbing imagery and music. It's one of my favorites but I have to admit, it was pretty creepy.

It's between "The Shining" (the '07 version) and... aw man. I forgot. Oh well, I don't really care for horror films that much, but I do kinda like movies with a creepy Stephen King-ish tone.

The Human Centipede was by far the most bizarre and gruesome films I have ever seen; it made those disgusting viral videos look like a joke. Words can't even describe just how raunchy it is, and I can only imagine just how terrible its sequels will be.
One of the deadliest creation that i had ever seen.

John Carpenter's In the Mouth of Madness has all kinds of creepiness in it, from the plot itself to the characters.

I dunno if anyone has said Stay Alive yet. It's a movie based aupon a haunted video game, and when teh players log on to it, they are trapped in the game and if you die within the game, you die in real life.
AFter this movie, I didn't play video games for months on end. :P

I've seen it .. it's good, albeit a spin off of The Ring (though when I heard what it was about I was kinda expecting it to be that). And Phinneus (sp?) got on my nerves, lol. But yeah there's a definite creepiness to it.

Jeepers Creepers is pretty creepy and of course Secret Window. That one was really creepy too. But Aliens of course, The Thing and Scanners were really creepy too.
I don't know if people remember Scanners but that creeped me out

To me, the creepiest movies (and true horror movies) are usually well done psychological thrillers, movies that affect you through lasting emotional response and pure uneasiness, rather than just blood, guts, and jumpy girls turning corners in dimly lit hallways :| As was mentioned before, Clockwork Orange is truly creepy in this sense, not to mention, it was very true to the book in its creepiness. Another favorite is Jacob's Ladder, about a Vietnam veteran who gradually descends into insanity..That movie brings its audience with it, freaks you out, and gives a good twist. And while not traditionally considered a horror movie, I'll give an honorable mention to Requiem for a Dream... That movie is tough to get through... I'd caution people to have a funny movie on hand to watch afterward. The director is the same one who did the current psych thriller, Black Swan, which I hope to see soon.
Another one that recently struck me was Hard Candy, (with Ellen Page before she was "Juno") a fabulous movie that keeps you very tense, and forces the viewer to "choose sides" so to speak. It dealt with pedophilia and was very creepy and out of the box... The last one I'll mention is One Hour Photo, which I watched on a whim on Bravo. It stars Robin Williams, which creeped me out the most, since he definitely was not playing Mr. Funny Guy in this movie. Seriously, seeing him act as a freaking stalker is quite a trip in itself >.>
Actually the Descent, which the OP mentioned was number 1 on Bravo's countdown show of scariest movie moments. Awesome countdown, but I haven't gotten around to watching that particular movie yet..I'd probably get claustrophobic

"The Shining" for sure. I love Steven King book's and movies, but that just scared the crap out of me.
The Movie, "It" too from him as well. I already hate clowns, and that movie just made my phobia worse. D:

"The Ring" is the creepiest, most scary movie I have ever seen! The girl that came out of the T.V. gave me nightmares for over a month the first time i watched it. Whenever I am alone in a dark room, I always think that girl is after me.

Imagine that scene if they did a 3-D remake of the movie, lol.

I looked it up on Wikipedia. Nothing what I thought of. I feel your pain after seeing the poster.

This movie I'm saying is creepiest isn't scary per se, but disturbing, terrible, and vomit inducing.

I saw Paranormal Activity 2 last night, and I must say I was impressed with how they tied it in with the first one. And the way the overall story bridged between the 2 ranks them fairly high on my creep-o-meter.

Saw
chuckie
aliens
predator
halloween 1 2 3 4 and 5
I watched The Cook, the Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover with a group of friends and it is absolutely one of the most vulgar, offensive, and disturbing movies I have ever seen.
It makes Saw looks like it should be in the family entertainment section.

I have two scariest movies. One is Hitchcock's The Birds, and the other is the the Dr. Who episode called The Empty Child/ The Doctor Dances. I'm not sure if Dr. Who counts though. Either way, The scariest is probably The Birds. *shudders while thinking about man with eyes pecked out.*
