I would have to say that I think PH was easier, because the dungeons were shorter and much more straight forward. What do you think? Discuss.

That statement is rather inconsistant. Pick a side.

Also you voted the opposite way in the poll, I just thought I'd let you know.

Phantom Hourglass was easy, and it sucked. I expected more from a sequel to Windwaker. For one they got rid of the rito and brought in some dumbcrap mailman with fairy wings. Plus, the controls are crappy, and I never thought I would say that about a ds game.

I loved MC though. Mainly because it was harder. And I wanted something to explain just who the heck vaati was. Now it all makes sense.

PH was much easier than MC. The only thing that I thought was hard in PH was The Temple of The Ocean King.

If you exclude the Kinstone fusions, The Minish Cap was easier. I can get through it without troubles. It took me 13 days for TMC and 5 days for PH, but it depends on how addicted I was to the games. TMC bosses were a joke. PH ones were more of a challenge.

phantom hourglass way easier the MC.
i actually got stuck in MC once. the only hard part that encounterd in PH is when you had to close you DS, but thats it. i don 't find "the temple of the ocean king" hard , but rather annoying.

minish cap was easier imo...
Phantom hourglass was not so easy, but it was still easy...
Some bosses were a bit harder...(Bellum ghost ship..for example...or bellum's first form...)

PH, by far. TMC wasn't too hard, but it was fun.

Then again, I haven't played them in a while. :p

I dunno, I think MC was easier just because I didn't have to get used to a strange new combat system. I love the PH combat, but it's just so much different than I'm used to with Zelda. Plus, I haven't played PH in a while 'cause I kept forgetting where I had or hadn't been in the damned Ocean King temple. With MC, though, I got through it in about a month 'cause I'm so used to the system.

I got through both in a night and a morning, in PH's case...

I believe Phantom Hourglass is far easier than The Minish Cap, but then again, it all depends on what you aim to accomplish in the game. If you intend to have all your ship parts, and everything perfected on an account on the Phantom Hourglass - it is rather easy via trading. While The Minish Cap would take a significant amount of time fusing all the kinstones and such.

Minish Cap was an easier game because the enemies were way easier to kill and the dungeons were shorter. Plus, the bosses were very easy.

PH was the easiest, It was just too easy, Not many dungeons, I beat Bellum in all of 10 minutes, not even. Heck, if you collected all the gems in the game, it made the game even easier. The Minish Cap was no big challenge, either but it was a little harder than PH.

Zenox

Vaati was WAAAY harder as a final boss than bellum. Bellum was a joke as a final boss.

I would have to say PH, except for the Ocean King temple. Minish Cap had harder dungeons, bosses and puzzles. In Ph you could guide your boomerang and bombachus and in MC the boomerang was terrible (until you got the magic boomerang) and you didn't even get bombachus.

Definitely PH. easiest zelda game i've ever played.
Minish cap is in my top 3, because it was super fun, i loved all the characters and the graphics, and there were good sidequests and bosses and items and things.also, the overworld was really huge and fun. phantom hourglass only had items from dungeons, except for the shovel, had not-very-good
cell-shaded graphics, had unrealistic, indistinct characters, and only one, really obvious sidequest.

I'd say probably Minish Cap. Really both were pretty boring Zelda games for me, and both had their difficult and easy times, but PH seemed like it had more of those difficult times. And by difficult, I mean those "what do I do here?!" times.

PH is a lot easier. If I just compare the MC deaths to the PH deaths, it would be 75:5, so MC is much more difficult.
The dungeons in MC were also more confusing than the dungeons in PH. You didn't have to find a map or memorize important things because you could write it on the map.

I haven't finished the Minish cap yet. But so far I think Phantom Hourglass has Minish Cap beat by a smidge in the "Which is easier" poll. In PH the controls were easier since you had the stylus, and because of that it was easier to move around, use your weapons, and stuff. Especially the maps I loved the maps on PH. Plus it had more helpful hints in PH then in MC. (although there was that one thing in PH where you had to close your ds to transfer the stuff on the one map to your map, I only got that part because I accidently read about it in a walkthrough LOL) In Minish Cap though, what I've played so far, its not very difficult, but I'm not a fan of the controls. Oh and I hate that you can't be minish just any old time. There should be an item that magically turns you minish any time you want. That is if they don't have it already. (Remember what I said above I haven't finished MC yet so please have mercy on me with the corrections) I'm not sure which story line I like better yet O.o oh but wait were not hear to talk about that. LOL :)

All I really have to add is- PH is a lot easier. If you're going to 100% TMC, it's waaaay harder. And also, you might actually die in that game. :) Of course, you might die on PH, but not easily, if you're a Zelda veteran.

For most people, PH is much easier... Though I would have to go towards TMC. PH did not have any Temple of the Ocean King, and that's the main thing that stops me from getting through PH, other than the game being boring (in my opinion). TMC was also just an easy game in general. Very straightforward most of the time.

Phantom hourglass is definetly easyer then minish cap becouse dongeuns are pretty short and boss battles are easy.

I do have to say that, in my own opinion, Phantom Hourglass was easier. However, comma, that doesn't mean that it's not as good as TMC. In fact, I enjoyed PH much more. TMC probably had the most adorable Princess Zelda I've ever seen, but PH had more characters with more development. Linebeck and Ciela were both great additions to the games. The items were a lot better, too... or at least, that's what I think. I really enjoyed the unique uses for various items in PH, and I really liked that they even brought back the hammer and the turtles, heh.

But still, though PH had a lot to offer, it was easier than TMC. PH was more annoying than difficult. TMC, while being one of the easiest Zelda games, still offered a tiny bit of difficulty here and there, moreso than PH did.

I'd have to say Minish Cap because the bosses were pretty easy enough and the storyline was just kind of too lulzy.

Niko Bellic 817

Definately Phantom Hourglass. The puzzles were very simplistic and the bosses were very easy. Once you knew how to kill them you could defeat them without any problemss. Bellum the final boss was easy because in phase 2 of the fight you could keep your distance and just keep stopping time to avoid getting hit. The Minish Cap was difficult because there were three giant statues in the Castor Wilds that required kinstone fusing. I didn't know what button to press to initiate it. Also, I had to have faries bottled whenever I faced Vaati, the final boss because his attacks do much more damage than Bellums do.

I haven't played MC for now, so I'm going to vote for the last option, but according to some of my friends, MC looks harder than PH.

I've beat PH in something like 3 or 4 days. (when I say beat, I'm talking about the story, I just beat Bellum...), and except for some puzzles using the DS uses in a crazy way (when for exemple you have to close it to make the map appear on the screen), I think it was too easy for a Zelda game. At the beggining of the game, I bought a lot of potions, but I still have them... Dungeons are too short, enemies are too weak, bosses have obvious weakpoints... I got the game for Christmas, and I thought it would be as long and difficult as OoT or ALTTP, but...

I think PH was easier, but by a little. At least the second to last boss didn't keep knocking me out of the sky. And Minish had a lot of traveling.

Sparky
10-28-2009, 02:41 AM
PH is easier. Its just easier in general...

Though the Endboss in PH is also a good deal easier being that it doesn't require near the problem solving skills that MC Endboss does.

Link Master

I think PH was easier because they could not put a lot onto this game and Minish cap was longer and you had to do some side quest to finish this game.

ironknuckle1
10-28-2009, 07:47 PM
the only reason I think MC is easier is because in Ph the ocean king temple gets really hard when you don't know what you are doing the first time and you are running out of time and have to restart.

Dungeon killer
10-28-2009, 09:31 PM
I say Ph was easier, the end bosses were each in different stages but bellum was alot easier than vatti and because it took me 15 trys to finally beat vatti.

But they were both easy and adventrous but the final choice is cut when you think about the final boss at least that is what I see on this thread.

I say Phantom hourglass.
It's a short game, has only a few dungeons
because of it's new gameplay style.
Minish cap has dungeon where is possible to
get stuck.
It has many things to collect like pieces of heart.
Ph has full heart containers.

Ok, PH was WAY WAY easier than MC, here are some reasons,

1. The boss Battles on MC were challenging, like the Giant Octorok in the Temple of Droplets, the ones of PH however were predictable, like the boss battle on Dongorongo, it was totally predictable. Why are they predictable? Because the weaknesses of the Bosses in PH were well....Obvious!

2. Collecting the figurines in MC was a challenge, collecting Spirit Gems were a walk in the park.

3. Vaati in MC was very challenging and very exciting, the battle with Bellum however, well too obvious, The eye is always the weakness. (Seen it's weakness before i even figure how to hit it.)

i stand by my post.:)

okay, i just got minish cap 3 days ago so I'm not done with it. however, i already know that it is much harder than PH. the first time i died in MC was at mt. crenal. in PH i didn't die untill the dongorongo battle. also, the first time i got stuck in MC was deepwood shrine. i didn't get stuck in PH untill the part where you had to close your DS. so ya, no contest

Phantom Hourglass was a short and pretty straightforward game. You were never confused about where to go, the dungeons felt very linear to me, there wasn't a lot of difficulty in collecting heart containers/spirit gems/ship parts, and the boss battles, especially the last one, felt like pushovers. Granted, Minish Cap wasn't an extraordinary challenge either, but it was definitely much more challenging than phantom hourglass.

For me PH seems more child orientated, considering there are only heart containers, and with all the slapstick comedy. It just seems more childish.

While Minish Cap seemed like a proper Zelda, though it was a handheld, it was like playing a proper Zelda game. I've started playing Minish Cap again last night, and it seems more serious than PH.

I didn't get stuck or die even once on my first playthrough of Phantom Hourglass .. The Minish Cap I think I got stuck at least few times and maybe even died. So yeah, The Minish Cap is harder one. Not saying it's the better one, though.

Master Kokiri 9

Phantom Hourglass=difficulty disgrace. It was just so flippin easy! I never once died (unlike in Minish Cap when I died a few times), the puzzles were so easy (in fact they shouldn't have been called puzzles [Minish Cap on the other hand had some rather difficult puzzles in the Temple of Droplets, and the Palace of Winds]), and finally the bosses in Phantom Hourglass were just way too easy! They don't even deserve to be called bosses. Whereas the bosses of Minish Cap were much harder (not to mention harder to figure out) to kill. In fact I died a few times on the Big Octo, the Big Green Chu almost killed me once, the Big Blue Chu almost killed me too, Mazaal almost killed me once, the Darknuts are really tricky- whuzzat? Oh sorry about my little rant.

12-06-2009, 12:05 AM
I think that I'd have to say that PH was easier when compared with MC. I mean PH did have some difficulty in it with repetitiveness of the Temple of the Ocean King and how it gets a bit harder the further you get in there, but other than that, I couldn't really see any other kind of difficulty that was present in the game.

Now MC had more difficulty in it other than what PH had with that I had trouble figuring out certain puzzles in the game and that most of the bosses in it gave me a hard time when I was trying to beat them.

Thus in the end, like I stated before, PH is the easiest of the two.

PH was easier because the quest and bosses were easier. The hardest boss was the Temple of the Ocean King. I cleared all of the bosses in PH without losing any health. I couldn't clear the Big Green Chu-Chu without losing health.

Minish Cap was way easier than PH/whatever else.

I can beat it in one day as opposed to PH, a week.

Minish Cap had more of user-friendly feeling, while PH was the more of "ok, ready for a challenge?" game. To me, at least.

43ForceGems
03-04-2010, 10:55 AM
Minish Cap gave me quite the challenge the first time I played it, but I was 8, so I was horrible at video games. I needed help from someone better to get me through Dark Hyrule Castle *GASP* :O 3 TIMES!!! You think I would get better. After, I beat MC for the first time all by myself on my 4th try. ;) I beat PH on my first try easy. I was a lot older though, and also, it's just too easy. It wasn't hard at all. MC was a little difficult and I still have trouble with Vaati.

PH is much easier because it's straight forward, you get sea chart, explore new quadrant and find the temple. Simple as that, where as MC they don't really give you hints on where to go and the dungeons are longer and bosses kinda harder.

I liked MC because it was cute and it was actually easier for me to finish, there were too many hidden meanings and complicated solutions to find in PH but I kind of enjoyed it more than MC.
