The BS Zelda games were expanded versions of the originals, The Legend of Zelda and A Link to the Past. They were released on the Satellaview attachment (the Broadcast Satellaview - BS-X) for the Super Famicon (SNES) In Japan. There were a total of three games - BS The Legend of Zelda, The Ancient Stone Tablets, and the 'A Link to the Past' remake : Triforce of the Gods.
The games were later hacked to become playable on emulators. This removed the game's time limits and pauses and added a title screen and file select screen. Fans can now play the BS Zelda games, and with all the new patches, players can even select either the one of original BS characters or Link himself.
