Aquiring Treasure

Treasure pieces that Link will find along his quest are quite easy to come by. Listed below are several ways Link can aquire a treasure.

1) Purchase treasure from Beedle's Air Shop or from various village shops.
2) Common treasure can be found under pots or by blowing leaves in some villages.
3) Some of the various mini-games will award treasure for getting high scores.
4) Find them in various treasure chests all throughout the overworld and within temples.
5) Put Prize Postcards in the mailbox and win treasure depending on which place you get.
6) Trade treasure with others locally via Nintendo Wi-Fi.

Trading Treasure

The game allows players to use local Nintendo DS Wi-Fi capability to trade ship parts and treasure with friends nearby. It appears that this trading process is similar to that of the Phantom Hourglass Treasures style.

Within Tag Mode, each player who has a Nintendo DS and a copy of Spirit Tracks can locally trade valuable Treasure using DS Download Play. Simple select the treasure piece you want to trade and toss it in one of the there boxes available and then you send send it off to your friend for a treasure in return!

Selling Treasure

The treasure that are listed below are divided into the various types of treasure pieces, starting with the most common and ending with the rarest of treasure. Rarity of treasure pieces directly corresponds with their selling price. In order to sell trasure, take them to Linebeck III at the Trading Post in the Forest Realm. You can also trade in treasure for train parts.

Treasure Pieces

Demon Fossil 50 Fossil of an ancient demon. Sounds rare, but it turns up all over the place.
Stalfos Skull 50 This artifact's eerie aura makes it the ultimate collector's item.
Star Fragment 50 A sparkly stone that fell from the sky. It's said to be a piece of a star.
Bee Larvae 50 Readily found in beehives. These energizing larvae sell for quite a bit.
Wood Heart 50 Whether this acorn is a treasure is debatable, but it does have its fans.
Dark Pearl Loop 150 Rare dark pearls, strung together into a stunning necklace.
Pearl Necklace 150 Pure white pearls, strung together into a luminous necklace.
Ruto Crown 150 Some say this regal crown was worn by generations of Zora princesses.
Dragon Scale 150 It's said that this scale came from a dragon, but no one really knows its origin.
Pirate Necklace 150 Once worn by a pirate captain who raided the seas. It has an evil aura.
Palace Dish 500 Priceless dish used by past royalty for eating dessert.
Goron Amber 500 This tasty Goron treat is valuable because it contains a bug!
Mystic Jade 500 Captivating and very valuable because of its beautiful form and color.
Ancient Gold Piece 500 This ancient artifact makes you feel like you've stepped back in time.
Alchemy Stone 2500 Desired by many, this artifact is said to bring riches to its owner.
Regal Ring 2500 A princely ring handed down by royalty for generations.

Getting Treasure

Treasure can be divided into four different categories based on the rarity of the treasure. Each treasure within a category has the exact same rupee value. The four categories are Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Super Rare treasure. When opening a treasure chest that contains a treasure, it isn't set in stone as to which treasure is in the actual treasure chest. Rather, the treasure is grouped by what type of category it is. A particular overworld treasure may contain a rare treasure, but all this means is that the treasure will be either a Palace Dish, Goron Amber, Mystic, Jade, or an Ancient Gold Piece. However, the super rare treasure have some fixed locations and they are listed below.

Common Treasure

--1. Each day the shop at Whittleton Village has two Commong Treasures available for sale at a price of 100 rupees.
--2. After getting the quiver upgrade at the Pirate Hideout, play the game again and score between 2,000 and 3,000 points to get a rare treasure.
--3. After getting the Whirlwind, head to the northeast part of Whittleton Village. There are plenty of leaves on the ground that can be blow by using the whirlwind. Blow these leaves to reveal several common treasures. Afterwards walk northward to northern part of Whittleton Village where you fill find another bunch of leaves to blow. After blowing them and collecting more common treasure, head back south to them main part of the village and the leaves and treasure will be reset. You can keep going back and forth through this area and collect a seemingly unlimited amount of treasure. Demon Fossils will not appear often in this area.
--4. Demon Fossils are found often underneath pots inside of caves. One cave just north of the Goron Elder on your way to the Fire Sanctuary is a good place to find them. Break the pots that are near the northwest part of the cave in hopes for treasure. Then head northward out of the cave and north until the map changes and you are in the Fire Sanctuary. You can turn around and head back tot he cave and the treasure will reset.

Uncommon Treasure

--1. Each and everyday, Beedle has a different uncommon treasure piece for sale at a starting price of 300 rupees.
--2. Each day the shop at Castle Town has two uncommon Treasures available for sale at a price of 300 rupees.
--3. Each day the shop at the Snow Sanctuary has an uncommon Treasure available for sale at a price of 300 rupees.
--4. Play the Goron Target Game and score between 1500 and 2000 points. Select the small treasure to get an uncommon treasure.
--5. After getting the bomb upgrade at the Whip Race in Whittleton Village, play the game again and score a time between 1:15 and 1:30 and you will be rewarded with an uncommon treasure piece each time.
--6. After getting the quiver upgrade at the Pirate Hideout, play the game again and score between 3,000 and 4,000 points to get an uncommon treasure.
--7. After defeating Stagnox in the 'Take Em All On' challenge Level 1, you will be rewarded with an uncommon treasure.
--8. After defeating Skeldritch in the 'Take Em All On' challenge Level 3, you will be rewarded with an uncommon treasure.

Rare Treasure

--1. Each and everyday, Beedle has a different rare treasure piece for sale at a starting price of 1000 rupees.
--2. After getting the heart container at the Whip Race in Whittleton Village, play the game again and score a time less than 1:15 and you will get rewarded with a rare treasure piece.
--3. Play the Goron Target Game and score over 2000 points. Select the small treasure to get a rare treasure.
--4. After getting the quiver upgrade at the Pirate Hideout, play the game again and score over 4,000 points to get a rare treasure.
--5. After bringing some Dark Ore to Linebeck a first time and earning a Force Gem, bring at least 5 more units to Linebeck and he'll give you a rare treasure.
--6. After defeating Phytops in the 'Take Em All On' challenge Level 4, you will be rewarded with a rare treasure.
--7. After defeating Dark Link in the 'Take Em All On' challenge Level 3, you will be rewarded with a rare treasure.

Super Rare Treasure

Alchemy Stone
--1. After bringing some lumber and the Bridge Worker to Anouki Village, you will get Force Gem #10. This will allow you to access the Snowdrift Station at the northwest part of the Snow Realm. You can go through the mini-dungeon at the station, or you can just immediately hit the switches in the proper order. From left to right, the proper order is 1st, 4th, 2nd, 5th. Stand on the higher platform and carefully trace a path with your boomerang so it hits these four switches in this particular order without hitting the middle switch. Defeat some freezards in the next room and then open the treasure chest to get an Alchemy Stone.
--2. After speaking to the wise one in Papuchia Village, purchase the vessel for 50 rupees and bring it over to Steem at the Snow Sanctuary to get Force Gem #12. This will allow you to access the Slippery Station at the north part of the Snow Realm. This area has an ice skating mini-game and if you complete the game on the Champion Course, you will be rewarded with an Alchemy Stone.
--3. After bringing the young Goron who dreams of the big city from Goron Village to Castle Town, you will get Force Gem #15. This will allow you to access the Disorientation Station at the northwest part of the Fire Realm. Enter the cave at the north part of the station and you'll find yourself in a maze. Head east, south, north, and north. Defeat the fire babas and then play the Song of Discovery near the stone block at the northeast part of the room. A treasure chest appears containing an Alchemy Stone.

Regal Ring
--1. After bringing some cuccos from Castle Town over to Rael at the Sand Sanctuary, you will get Force Gem #18. This will allow you to access the Ends of the Earth Station at the northeast part of the Fire Realm. Enter the eastern cave and solve the three blocks puzzles that you find. They can be rather difficult, but once you've completed all three, you'll find a treasure chest containing a regal ring.
--2. After bringing 5 units of Dark Ore over to Linebeck at the Trading Post, you will get Force Gem #20. This will allow you to access the Lost at Sea Station at the southeast corner of the Ocean Realm. Go through the five floors of this mini-dungeon and your end reward will be a Regal Ring. You can repeat this mini-dungeon unlimited times to get multiple Regal Rings.
