How To Get Train Parts

After the Bridge Worker fixes the bridge near the Trading Post, you will be able to trade in treasure pieces in order to get train parts. Go to the Trading Post and speak with Linebeck. Select Train Parts and scroll through to the Train Part that you would like to purchase. Instead of paying with rupees, you exchange various treasure for the different Train Parts.

Train Cars

There are four different train cars on your train. You start the game off with the engine and the passanger car. After going through the Tower of Spirits for a 2nd time, Alfonzo will upgrade your train and add a cannon. Much later in the game when you reach Goron Village, you will add a freight car to the back of the train.

Customize The Train

There are eight different types of train sets in Spirit Tracks. The standard train that you get in the quest is the Spirit Train and it will have four heart containers of health. However, as you customize your train, you can increase the amount of health your train has.

4 Hearts - Complete Spirit Train
5 Hearts - Any 1 Customized Train Part
6 Hearts - Complete Customized Set
8 Hearts - Complete Customized Gold Train

After getting the train parts from Linebeck, you can have him put them on immediately. However, at any point if you would like to change the train parts that your train currently has, you will have to go to Aboda Village and speak with Alfonzo and he will customize your train for you.
