-Power Gems are found all throughout your quest and they are used to power up the ability of Leaf, the Spirit of Power, who is saved after defeating the Temple of Fire.
Below is a listing of all 20 Power Gems that Link finds on his quest. When Link has collected 10 Power Gems he can restore a portion of Leaf's power. In order to do so, he must take the gems to Spirit Island, which is a hidden Island located just south of Molida Island.
If Link has collected all 20 of these gems, he can take them to the spring at Spirit Island to fully restore the power of Leaf.
Location: Mercay Island Shop Required Items: 500 Rupees
-Available at the Mercay Island Shop for 500 rupees. While this is the first Power Gem that Link can actually get, it is quite expensive for this early in the game and it is best to leave for a later time.
Location: Isle of Amber - Astrid's House Required Items: None
-Once Link has beaten the Temple of Fire, head on over to talk with Astrid. As a special thanks for defeating the Temple, she will award you with a Power Gem.
Location: Cannon Island - Bomb Garden Cavern Required Items: None
-While inside the cavern on Cannon Island, head to the far right of the map. You will notice there is a bombable wall here. Head back left and pick-up one of the bomb flowers and run it over to the bombable wall. Be quick since it is somewhat far away. Behind the wall is a treasure chest containing a Power Gem.
Location: Isle of Gust - West Ledge Required Items: None
-Located within a treasure chest on the far left of the Isle of Gust. It is on a higher platform that is easily reached after uncovering a geyser in the ground. Use the shovel on the soft patch of soil and then ride yourself to the higher ground. Open the chest for the gem.
Location: Temple of Wind - B2 Required Items: None
-It is the room filled with sandworms where you need to dig up geysers to light up torches. Head to the far left of the room and notice a treasure chest against the wall. Open it up for the Power Gem.
Location: Temple of Courage - 1F Required Items: Bombs
-After passing through B1 the first time and going up to the stairs to 1F, at the North West corner is a cracked wall. Bomb it and the chest with the Power Gem will be available to you.
Location: Temple of Courage - 2F Required Items: Bow
-This room has 2 eyes mounted on the wall. When crossing the moving blocks, shoot both the eyes with the bow and the chest will appear in the middle. Walk onto the block moving towards it and grab your Power Gem.
Location: Temple of the Ocean King - B3 Required Items: Bow
-Head to the higher platform at the South East part of the room on floor B3. Standing at the top right part of the platform you will see an eye to the North. Shoot and arrow into it and a treasure chest will appear just to the left of where the force gems are placed. Quickly run over as this is a timed treasure chest and will disappear if you take too long.
Location: Isle of Frost - East Ledge Required Items: Grappling Hook
-Outside the Temple of Ice are pegs. Jump on top of them and climb your way to the top with the grapple. Continue South, then use the grapple to go East. The chest is on the ledge to the South.
Location: Molida Island - Southeast Island Required Items: Grappling Hook
-Inside Ramanos's father's hideout, there is a collection of ledges leading east. Jump to the last ledge. Before jumping off the last ledge, grapple onto the chest to the East. Open it it find a Power Gem.
Location: Spirit Island Required Items: Grappling Hook
-This Power Gem can be found on the East part of Spirit Island. To reach it, use the grapple to continue East on the island. At the end of the path is a chest containing the Power Gem.
Location: Temple of the Ocean King - B7 Required Items: Grappling Hook
-On floor B7 of the Temple of the Ocean King, there is a peg in the North East corner. Jump onto it. Grapple from it to hit an orb and the chest will appear.
Location: Isle of the Dead Required Items: Shovel, Bombs
-When on the Isle of the Dead, you find a stone tablet in the period stating the Sacred Tree grows on the chin. West 13 tiles and North 7 tiles from the Sacred Tree is a hole to an underground cave. The North wall is cracked. Bomb there and continue in to find the chest with the Power Gem.
-After you lower the water on the island, the maze is accessible. Follow it to the North East corner and continue up to a small area where the chest with the Power Gem dwells.
