- Once the battle begins, Blaaz will split into three smaller forms. The three
triplets will chase Link around the room shooting out fireballs towards Link.
Don’t bother trying to strike at the separate mini Blaaz bodies with your sword
because it won’t affect him. The mini Blaaz incarnations will gather fire and
shoot fireballs out at Link. They are quite slow and are very easy to avoid. If
at any point during the battle you grow weary, just slash at the pots within the
chamber to fill up your hearts.
- In order to successfully defeat Blaaz, you must fuse him together using the
mighty boomerang. While on the run, bust out the boomerang and trace a line
between the three forms of blaze to fuse them all together. However, there is a
catch to this as well. If you take a look at the map you will see the three
forms of Blaaz wandering around. One of them has one horn, another has two
horns, and the other has three horns. When tracing the boomerang you must target
them in a specific order. Logically, the order is the one with one horn, then
two horns, and of course, three horns.
- Once you successfully fuse him together, just run up to Blaaz and keeping
tapping at him to strike him over and over with your sword. After several hits,
Blaaz will disappear for a second and move around the room before re-appearing.
Keep chasing Blaaz around while striking him with your sword. As Blaaz begins to
weaken, fire rocks will begin to fall from the ceiling.
- Just keep repeating the process of fusing Blaaz together with the boomerang and
strike him with your sword. If you are quick with your striking, it should take
no more than three fusions of Blaaz to defeat him.
Summary:
- Avoid fireballs. Notice how each of the separate people
are holding a number of horns (on the map)... While running, use your
Boomerang to smack them and combine them into one, in the correct
order: one, two, three. Once combined, slice away and repeat.
- The cyclones that Cyclok provides us with are exactly what we need to defeat
him. There are three spots where cyclones are located on the bottom screen but
only one of them is available at a time. When Cyclok’s shadow moves over the
cyclone. Toss a bomb into the cyclone and it will be sent up into the air,
blasting away at Cyclok and sending him tumbling to the ground. At that point
run up to him and strike him repeatedly with your sword. He will eventually
regain consciousness and fly up to the air once again.
- Cyclok will also summon smaller cyclones that will move around on the surface.
These ones can pull Link into the air but they can also pull bombs into the air.
Use these as well when trying to nail Cyclok with a bomb.
- Periodically, Cyclok will drop to the surface and quickly dash towards Link.
You cannot harm Cyclok when he does do this, so just dodge his attack. Once he
is back in the air, continue tossing bombs into the cyclones trying to hit
Cyclok.
- If you do run low on health or bombs, there are jars all around the area that
contain extra hearts and some bombs. There are also bomb flowers that can be
used, but they are a bit more difficult since they are timed from once you lift
them up, so it is best to just stick with regular bombs. If you hit Cyclok
continuously every time he falls to the ground, it should take about five bomb
shots to defeat him.
Summary:
- When he swipes at you, move out of the way to avoid it. Don't touch
the whirlwinds he creates, but throw Bombs into them instead. Time it well
and send a Bomb hurtling up to explode on him. After a few hits, he falls,
allowing you to slash away. He'll go back up, repeat.
- Walk forward once you enter and like always, you
will be trapped within the boss chamber. A first person view
mode of the boss will appear on the bottom screen as he
approaches Link. He will then disappear on the top screen
and thus beginning the battle. This is a much different boss
battle than one is accustomed to in the Zelda World.
You control Link on the bottom screen but you cannon see Crayk. The top
screen shows the first person view of Crayk. You can actually see what
Crayk sees as he is stalking his prey.
- Crayk’s main form of attack is when he gets close to Link. He picks
you up and shakes you.
A sign will pop up on the bottom screen telling
you to rub. Just run your stylus back and forth quickly in order to
shake yourself free from his claws. Link’s health will drain more the
longer he is in Crayk’s grasps.
- There are also little crayklings that are all around the boss arena.
They crawl around the floor and really don’t have any attacks at all.
They will only hurt Link if they come into contact with each other. Link
can defeat these enemies if he’d like but new ones keep popping up so
just keep your attention on Crayk himself.
- In order to defeat this first phase of Crayk, Link must use the
combination of the bottom and top screens on the DS. When you can see
yourself through Crayk’s first person vision. Equip your bow and
aim right at the camera, which in this case is Crayk’s vision. Line up
the bow perfectly and then shoot an arrow. This will make Crayk visible
and stun him for a few seconds. Run on over to him and mash at his large
body with your sword, slowly cracking it’s shell back.
- Be careful and try not to get too close when you are striking Crayk
down, as Link will take damage if he touches Crayk. After stunning him
several times and striking at him with your sword, his shell on his back
will shatter, leaving just its skinny body.
- He no longer is invisible and this portion of the battle is
considerably easier. All you need to do is strike him right in the face
and he will cover up trying to protect himself. When doing so, he will
not move for a few seconds which gives you some time to quickly run
around him and strike him in its blue weak spot. It does not take many
hits at all to defeat this Crayk. Just keep repeating this process until
he is finished.
Summary:
- Run away from the giant crab of doom. If it grabs you, you'll
have to shake the stylus back and forth to wiggle free before it slowly
kills you.
- It will go invisible repeatedly. Use the top screen to figure out where
Crayk is at, then shoot an arrow straight into its vision to stun it.
Slash away at its shell. Repeat.
- Once its shell is gone, slash it to make it cringe, then run around and
smack it in the blue tender spot.
- After reuniting the four Cubus daughters, the four Sisters reveal their true
forms and turn into four hideous flying ghosts. Once the battle begins three of
the four sisters who are flying in the air above will shoot out large lasers out
at Link. The fourth sister will toss large balls of crackling energy at Link.
Simply walk around the ship, dodging the lasers and try to stand underneath the
fourth sister.
Once she drops an energy ball, strike at it with your sword and
it will send the energy right back at her. If you miss the energy ball, it will
hit the ship and split into many smaller balls that cannot be reflected. It
takes two energy balls to defeat each of the four sisters. Each time you hit a
sister, they will group together and then spread apart once again. The sister
that is deflecting the ball will change.
- After one of the sisters has been defeated and only three remain the battle
changes slightly. This is probably the toughest part of the battle as everything
seems to just move a lot faster. Only two of the three will now shoot lasers at
your while the third delivers the energy ball. Reflect it back at the sister
just as before, but this time she will reflect it back and forth amongst her
sisters and eventually it will come back at Link much faster.
Reflect it a
second time and it will hit one of the sisters. Repeat this until the second
sister has been defeated. Also, once you have defeated the first sister and only
three remain, they will periodically throw smaller balls out at you that cannot
be reflected. If Link strikes at them it splits into smaller balls and it can
harm Link. It is best to just move out of the way.
- The battle continues on with two sisters and is actually easier since you know
they can only hit it back and forth to each other. Repeat the same process as
before, volleying the energy ball back at the sisters. Eventually you'll be down
to just one of the Cubus sisters. She fly’s much closer to Link and will shoot
multiple energy balls at the same time. Two of them consist of the smaller balls
that cannot be deflected while the other one is the one you need to deflect.
Stand right under her and once you see which one is the large one that you can
deflect, run towards it and deflect it. You can use the spin attack to assure
that you deflect it back at the last remaining sister. Usually the last sister
reflects the energy ball back several times, so just keep volleying with her
until it hits her. Repeat this process until you hit the final sister three
times to finish the fight.
Summary:
- Four ghost sisters, each shooting stuff at you. Only one of them at a
time will shoot energy orbs instead of lasers. Reflect these back at them by
slashing them with your sword.
- They will swap out who shoots these, as well as play ping pong with you
(bouncing it back and forth). Just continue to strike it back at them to
harm them.
- Occasionally, they will shoot smaller energy orbs. Avoid these, because
they will harm you.
- You will notice that you cannot actually reach Dongorongo at first because of
the quicksand in the way.
However, our good friend Gongoron appears on the top
of the screen and wants to bring down the beast together. Switching between
Gongoron and Link is the same as before, just tap the button that appears. As
you are battling with Dongorongo at the top, eye slugs will periodically attack
Link at the bottom. Quickly switch on over and defeat the eye slugs.
- When controlling Gongoron, watch out for it’s two main attacks. One is simply
dashing into the little Goron, and the other is shooting three balls of fire out
of its mouth. Avoid his attacks and try and hit Dongorongo from his side.
Hitting him from the front will do nothing because of his massive armor.
However, he becomes stunned for a split second. Once you get a chance, target
its side and do a jump attack to weaken Dongorongo.
Jump on him several times
until he is stunned on the floor. Then quickly switch back over to Link and
trace a bombchu right at the monsters mouth for huge blow. Switch back and forth
between Gongoron and Link and repeat this process until you’ve nailed Dongorongo
with three bombchus.
- Once you do so, it will fall to the floor and a door will open up at the top of
the room. Gongoron heads through the door saying that the Pure Metal lies behind
it.
A bridge appears near Link so he can reach the door as well. Cross the
bridge and make your way to the door, but wait! Dongorongo isn’t finished yet!
- The beast stands back up, the bridge disappears, and the door shuts, trapping
Link in this enclosed area with the monster. A blue orb will stick out of
Dongorongo, revealing a weak spot. He is as more furious then ever now and will
shoot endless fire out of his mouth as he spins around the room.
He also walks more aggressively and the eye slugs around appear more frequently.
Dongorongo will get on its hind legs and try to suck Link towards him.
This is your chance,
pull out your bombs and toss them into dongorongo’s mouth. They will explode and
it will fall on to its side. Run on over and slash at its blue circle on its
back over and over. Repeat this process several times until the monster has been
defeated for good.
Summary:
- Use the button at the top of the screen to switch between Link and
Gongoron, you can only use one at a time. Try to avoid leaving your
unattended party member in quick sand. Ciela will warn you when Eye
Slugs get close to Link, switch quick, kill them, switch back.
- As Gongoron, use his jump attack on the boss's side while
avoiding fireballs. The best time to attack is right after he blows
fire and is about to roll. Dodge and as he zips past use the jump
attack. While he's stunned, switch to link, and use the Bombchus,
drawing a line across the quicksand into his mouth.
- When he falls over. Go across the bridge to commence the second
half of the battle, in which he's much faster.
- Now with only Link, avoid his fireballs and kill of the Eye Slugs
if you must. Wait until Dongorongo inhales deeply, about to breathe
lots of fire and throw a bomb into his mouth. Quickly, slash the
blue crystal on his back. Repeat.
- Grappling Hook to weaken, multiple hits to defeat!
Speed:
- Immobile.
Attacks:
Fireball. Snowball. Bite. Tidal Wave.
- Once Link enters the boss chamber, he will hear the sound of rushing water. Then
the two-headed dragon will emerge from underneath the water beginning the
battle.
Gleeok's heads will take turns when attacking. The left head will spit
out some fireballs at you while the right one goes with snowballs. The attacks
are quite damaging but are easily avoidable since they don't track Link. So
simply just move out of the way when one of the heads attacks.
- You will notice the four pegs that surround Link on the platform he is on. Once
one of the heads wiggles, signaling it is ready to attack, use the Grappling
Hook to stretch a rope between the pegs.
This will allow Link to protect himself
as well as bounce the attack back at Gleeok. The trick is you need to bounce the
fire attacks at the ice head and the snow attacks at the fire head. Angle the
rope from the bottom-left to top-right pegs to bounce it towards the fire head.
Then angle the rope from the bottom-right to top-left pegs to bounce it towards
the ice head. Note that bouncing the fire attack against the fire head and the
snow attack against the ice head will inflict no damage at all to Gleeok.
- The Gleeok heads are quite wise and will adjust their strategy as they see Link
using the Grappling hook. Once Link stretches the rope, one of the heads will
stretch to the rope and bite it apart.
You can't prevent the head from doing
this, but you can dodge the attack by staying to one of the bottom corners. You
must time your rope placements. Once one of them wiggles indicating they are
about to attack, quickly stretch the rope so the other head doesn't have time to
adjust. Gleeok gets a bit impatient and smarter as the battle carries on.
Another one of their attack methods is that they will dive underwater and create
a title wave, followed by ice chunks that are thrown at Link. When this happens
quickly tap one of the bottom pegs to jump onto it. When the ice gets near, just
hop off the peg avoiding the ice. You can also just strike at the ice with your
sword.
- Three hits of the opposite type against the two heads will break both of
Gleeok's masks. Now that they are angrier than ever, the Gleeok heads will bite
off the two front pegs.
The two dragonheads will take turns inhaling deeply and
then exhaling a cone of fire or frost at Link. Run from side to side to avoid
these attacks. Just before one of the heads gears up to exhale fire or frost, it
will stick its tongue out as it is inhaling. This is Links chance to use the
grappling hook on their tongues. Just connect the grappling hook to one of the
pegs and the other end to one of Gleeok’s tongues. Doing so will bring the head
crashing down to the platform. Now use Link’s sword and slash repeatedly at the
head. Repeat this process until both of its heads can take no more.
Summary:
- The boss has two heads that each attack by their type: fire and ice. The
goal is to reflect the opposing element at the other head to damage
them. To protect yourself from their attacks, as well as reflect
their attacks, stretch the Grappling Hook between the pegs on the
platform, angling them to your desired target (bottom-left and
top-right for the fire head, vice versa for the ice head).
- The heads will try to stop you by snipping the rope. Hide in the
corner to avoid them and try to do this right before they attack, to
ensure they can't avoid it.
- To avoid the tidal wave, tap one of the pegs to jump on it. When
the ice gets close, either hop off or slash at it with your sword.
- After the masks break off, they will bite off the front to pegs.
Move to either side to avoid their elemental attacks, and try to use
the Grappling Hook as they're inhaling. This will bring the head
close, allowing you to smack away. Repeat.
- Once Link enters the boss chamber, he sees this massive stone creature. This
ancient warrior usually starts Link off with its rather slow fist smash attack.
It simply winds up and strikes the floor near Link. He does move quite slowly so
you can simply run away from the area he is striking. Be careful though because
if he doesn't hit you but is close enough, it will still cause damage. The other
attack that this stone warrior has is the turrets that are around its neck.
These will shoot out arrows at Link, which are quite easily avoided by simply
moving around. Your shield will also deflect these weak arrows that are shot
your way.
- When it isn't attacking, run to one of the four catapults that surround the boss
chamber. Step on the footsteps and smash the pillar to launch Link into the air.
You will notice that Eox has many red bolts all over his body. With the hammer
equipped, strike at the red bolts repeatedly while you are in the air. After
several hits to a spot, part of his stone armor begins to crumble. Repeat this
method of attack for all ten of its red bolts. It takes three swings with the
hammer to break off each piece of Eox's armor.
- After ten bolts are gone, the former massive yellow enemy has fully changed to
fragile
gray and has become much more vulnerable. Four new red buttons appear on
Eox's face. Just as before, catapult your way up to his body and use the hammer
to strike at each of the buttons. This time however, you only need strike each
button once, but you must strike all four buttons in one catapult. Once you
strike the button it will change to the color blue. If you don't get them all,
the buttons will reset to red. Hitting all four buttons will make Eox collapse
to the floor.
- He still has some fight in him and the turrets in his head will continue to
shoot arrows out at Link but this time more furiously. The view of the room has
shifted as well. No longer is Eox standing up and taking up both screens. Since
he is just moving on the ground, the top screen has once again become the map.
When Eox is close by, use the catapult once again, but this time we want to land
on top of Eox's head. Now use Link’s sword to slam the blue crystal on top of
his head. You lose a half of a heart if Eox throws you off of his head so strike
him quickly. Repeat this process until Eox is down for good.
Summary:
- Avoid this slow moving boss's attacks and get to any of the four catapults.
Use them to propel yourself onto Eox's body. With the hammer, strike the ten red
bolts repeatedly.
- After all the red bolts are gone, four new buttons appear on his face. Use
the same method as before. They each only take one hit, but will turn blue once
you hit them. You must get all of them in one go, because if you take too long,
they will reset back to red.
- After he collapses, shoot to the top of his head and quickly slam the blue
crystal with the hammer. Repeat.
- Grappling hook & bow to weaken, multiple phantom sword strikes to defeat.
Speed:
- Fast.
Attacks:
Ooze. Ooze Minion. Tentacle Slap. Ram.
- Once Link reaches the top of the long staircase, he becomes trapped in this
massive chamber. A huge tentacle monster appears from the ceiling and splashes
down into the pool on the ground.
It is none other than the Evil Phantom,
Bellum. The battle begins with Bellum spitting out balls of purple ooze at Link.
Link can easily avoid being hit by the ooze. However, if the balls miss, they
will splash on the ground and turn into ooze minions. These ooze minions can
easily be defeated with the Phantom Sword or the Grappling Hook. These attacks
of Bellum are relatively weak and are easy to avoid. If the Spirit of Wisdom is
at level two, equip it and the ooze will have no effect on Link. Use the
grappling hook on Bellum to pull off pieces of purple ooze from its body.
Keep
doing this until all the ooze has been removed revealing only Bellum's green
body. Then use the grappling hook on the small ooze part at the top to pull
Bellum towards you. Equip the Spirit of Power and strike at Bellum’s eye
repeatedly.
- After feeling the wrath of Link's sword, Bellum will hop out of the pool and
head through the ceiling. Follow him up using the spiral staircase. Equip the
bow and circle around the room. Shoot an arrow out at each of Bellum's
tentacles. They each have an eye and once they are hit, they will turn purple.
Be careful of the tentacles, as Bellum tries to use them as a whip to hit Link.
Hit all five of them and Bellum will no longer be able to support himself and he
will crash down back to the first floor.
Run back down the stairs and Bellum
will be back in his pool of ooze. Repeat the process you did before, using the
grappling hook to yank off the ooze and then to pull Bellum close to you. Be
careful as with each squirt, Bellum shoots out three splashes of purple ooze.
After some more strikes with the Phantom Sword, Bellum will once again flee to
the second floor.
- Follow him up once again and watch out for the purple ooze that is shot at you
while you scale the stairs. Repeat the process of shooting arrows at the eyes of
the tentacles. This time however, there is a lot more ooze and the eyes will
occasionally close. Just keep fighting at it and shoot all five of the eyes.
This time instead of falling to the first floor, he will move higher to the
third floor. Follow him up and you will find even more ooze here. His tentacles
will periodically start to flap and try to slap at Link. Just keep moving around
to avoid his tentacles. Use the arrows once again to strike the five eyes of the
tentacles and send Bellum crashing all the way back to the first floor. However,
just before falling to the ground, a green glowing ball appears and Ciela is
attracted to it.
As the fairy makes her way to the ball it explodes, revealing
Oshus, the Ocean King! With Bellum weakened, Oshus is able to send out a message
to Ciela. Oshus had his memories sealed behind the power of Bellum, but because
he is weakened he can share these memories with Ciela. Ciela remembers here true
identity. She is the Spirit of Time and Courage!
- With Ciela's power restored, she can now help Link defeat Bellum once and for
all. Run back to the first floor and the staircase will break off. You will see
Bellum circling around his pool of ooze. Ciela releases the Phantom Sphere,
which is a crackling ball of power that can stop time. Collect the orb and it
will power up the Phantom Hourglass. After collecting a Phantom Sphere, the
Hourglass icon will appear.
Tap the icon and a square border will appear on the
touch screen. Draw the Hourglass that appears like the number eight. Once the
yellow corners are in place, tap the hourglass symbol and without releasing it,
move the stylus to the top-left corner. Draw a horizontal line to the top-right
corner. Then draw a diagonal line to the bottom-left corner. Continue the line
to the bottom-right corner. Then finish off the hourglass symbol by drawing a
diagonal line to the top-left corner.
You need to draw the symbol fairly
quickly, but don’t draw the hourglass too wide or it won’t work. Once you have
correctly drawn the symbol, everything will fade to black and you will have
frozen time. Rush over to Bellum and strike at the giant eyeball with the
Phantom Sword.
Remember to equip the Spirit of Power to deal more damage. Strike
him as many times as you can before retreating to the bottom of the stairs as
time resumes to normal.
- Ciela will create another Phantom Sphere and toss it over to Link. Wait until
Bellum is circling around the room and then draw the hourglass symbol freeze
time once again. It is smart to keep close to the bottom of the staircase to
avoid the route of the deranged Bellum. Repeat this process a few times until
you have finally defeated the Evil Phantom Bellum.
Summary:
- The final boss of the game fights in two ways: hovering on the ground and
clinging to a higher level using its tentacles. It creates lots of ooze which
can become Ooze Minions. These are easily avoided or killed, but won't even harm
you with the fully upgraded Spirit of Wisdom equipped.
- When on the ground, pull the ooze away from it using the Grappling Hook, then
attack its eye (equip the Spirit of Power for more damage).
- When on a higher level, climb the spiral staircase and use the Bow to shoot
the eyes on the tentacles.
- Repeat this back and forth process that steadily gets harder. Be sure to
avoid the Ooze Minions when necessary.
- Eventually a short clip will take place, revealing Ciela as the Spirit of
Time and Courage. Use the Phantom Spheres she creates to use the Phantom
Hourglass. Draw the hourglass symbol to freeze time. Quickly go slash at Bellum.
Repeat until defeat (haha, how punny).
- Bellum's last stand and it is quite the battle. Bellum's new massive form is
invulnerable at the front, but his weak spot is at its back.
While Bellum moves
quite slowly, he does turn quickly, so Link can't just circle around to his weak
point. Just as in the previous battle, wait for Ciela to send out a Phantom
Sphere. Get it just as you did before, freeze time, and run to Bellum's back
side and strike at him with your sword.
Wait, this doesn't even hurt bellum.
Ciela will make this observation and the explanation is because Bellum's eyes
aren't open. Ciela flies to check on Bellum's back eyes. Once they open, she is
ready to release another Phantom Sphere but before she can do so she is captured
by one of Bellum's tentacles.
- While she has been captured, she still assists Link with her vision. What she
views can be seen on the top screen. However, she no longer can release Phantom
Sphere's, so Link is on his own in battle. Avoid his sideswipe from his sword
and continue to tap at him with the Phantom Sword. While he will block your
attacks, eventually the two of you will lock swords.
At this point rapidly rub
the stylus back and forth to break Bellum's guard and then quickly strike at his
belly with your Phantom Sword, bringing him down to one knee.
- While he is stunned for a short period of time, his grip on Ciela weakens and
she is able to release a Phantom Sphere. Quickly run and grab the sphere. Watch
through Ciela's view of the back of Bellum. Once Bellum's backside eye has
opened up, quickly use the Phantom Hourglass to freeze time. Then run behind
Bellum and strike at his eye with the Phantom Sword. Be sure to equip the Spirit
of Power to inflict extra damage. Time will return to normal and Bellum will get
angrier. Bellum will now perform a large spin attack, which is quite difficult
to avoid. Just keep battling him using the same method as before until he has
been defeated once and for all.
Summary:
- Shortly after you start, Ciela is taken from you. Make note of the fact
you can see through her eyes at the top of the screen.
- Use aggressive, quick sword swipes to lock blades with your foe until you
break his guard, then stab him in the chest to stun him. In doing this, Ciela
will make Phantom Spheres. Afterwards, Bellum will begin to use hard to avoid
Spin Attack-like moves.
- Grab the Spheres and wait until the eye on Bellum's back opens, then quickly
freeze time, rush around and attack it to damage him. Repeat.
