Once you enter head down the steps. The door to the bottom is locked for now. Be careful of the ice as it is slippery as you make your way around the dungeon. Head to either the left or the right and push the ice blocks out of the way and continue up. Head up to the next room. Pass this room for now and head right. Kill the enemies and then head down the stairs. Push the lever down and sunlight will shine through the room melting some of the ice. Head back up the stairs.
Now that the sunlight is shining through the ice is melted and you can fall through the hole. There is a block of ice that has a key in it. Push the block down to the rock and then right so that it is in the sunlight. It will melt so you can grab the key. Push the block at the bottom-right and head back up the stairs. Head left a room here and then unlock the door on the left and go through. Kill the enemies and drop-down the hole in the center.
Head to the right to find three blocks of ice the middle having the big key in it. The goal is to get the middle block under the sunslight on the other side of the room. To do this first push the bottom block left, down and then left again. Then go and push the top block to the left once. Finally push the block with the key to the left, up, left, down, left, up, and then right. Grab the big key after it unmelts. Push the lever here to close the sunlight and then head up the stairs. Back here head right a screen and down a screen to get back to the first room. Then head through the door at the bottom now that you have the Big Key.
You will see the element but cannot get it as it is in solid ice. Head through the door at the bottom left. Head down a screen and then underneath the tunnel to get to a treasure chest. Open it to get the dungeon map. Backtrack up a screen and head up now. To get by the roller simply dive underwater. Head left a screen. You can dive by the waterfall to pick-up 20 rupees. Kill the enemy and climb the stairs.
Head right a screen and then down a screen. Get back on land and use the gust jar on the mushroom to get across. Hit the switch and then head back in the water and down the waterfall. Head down a dive under the rolling spike. Hit the switch and you can read the statue for a hint. Head right a screen and there is the pot that the hint talked about. Dive in the center of the pot to find a small key. Grab it and backtrack to the huge waterfall you fell down. Climb up the wall to the left of the waterfall and push the block at the top. Head up a screen and go through the locked door on your left. Head down a screen and step on the switch. Head down a bit and use the gust jar to pull the lilypad closer. Get on it and ride yourself up a screen.
Ride the lilypad right a screen, down a screen, and then down the huge waterfall. Ride it down, and drop in the water to avoid the spike. Continue on the lilypad right a screen and passed the pot to get to the platform on the right. Press the switch and get back on the lilypad. There is a split in the path, just head right for now. There is a large worm on the platform here. Defeat it using your sword and head up through the door that unlocks.
Open the chest here to get the compass. Head back down a screen and get back on the lilypad. Head left a screen and this time take the north path. Ride the lilypad up to the next platform that has a switch.
Step on it than head up with the lilypad. Get on the ice platform and head up to find a treasure. Open it to get 50 rupees. Kill the enemies on this platform and you will notice a switch by a bunch of ice blocks. If you step on it though and then step off the passage remains blocked. Puzzle time once again. This time the goal is to push an ice block on top of the switch. To do this first push the top-most block down and then left. Then push the right most block to the left. Next push the bottom-left block up. Finally push the block in the middle to the left and then up onto the switch. Get back ont he lilypad and make your way around the room passed the now open passage. Don't head left just yet but rather keep going along the path and head through the passage at the top-right.
This room becomes dark and you can see a limited amount of space. Just follow the path and head through the door at the top. Back in the light, kill the enemies and then head up the steps in this room. Kill the Pinsir type enemies here and a portal to the entrance of the dungeon will appear. Head down a screen and left a screen. There is a big lever here. To push this one, you need to close yourself using the tiles just below it. Do so and push it and some light will be revealed in the room and it will melt a small ice block. Jump off the ledge and head through this new area.
Head right and then up a screen. Open the chest here to get a kinstone piece. Head right a screen.
Kill the enemies here and then slowly make your way around the ice to get to the other chest in this room and open it to get another kinstone piece. Make your way back and then head down to the circle of spikes. Get to the middle of it through the small hole.
For now you want to head through the right side. Do so and follow the path to get to the barrels. The second of which contains yet another kinstone piece. Head back though the spikes and get to the left side now. Continue along this pass and head through the door on the left. For now all you can do is head up a screen.
Head down the stairs here and then drop-down in the pit here. Push the lever and then head up the stairs. Now you can cross the platofrm here so do so and push the lever here and sunlight will appear. Head back down the stairs and push this lever back and the sunlight will now shine to this level and it will melth the treasure chest. Open it to get a small key. Head up the stairs, up another set of stairs, and then down a room.
Open the locked door and in this room push the lever. It will bring sunlight in and along with that a boss-blob. Wait until the electric current around and then pull his legs with the gust jar to knock him over. Then strike him with your sword while he is stunned. Repeat this about fives times until he has been defeated.
Once he is defeated a chest will appear. Open it to recieve the Flame Lantern. Head up a screen and light your way to the left. Head down the stairs here.
Unlight the ice block here and open the chest to get 100 rupees. Burn your way right a screen. Keep the lantern out and lit while fighting three more pinsors here. You can light the four torches here but they do unlight quickly. After you defeat the four of them just head right a screen.
This room is a unlit maze room similar to those old rooms in A Link to the Past. Head to the bottom-right and light the lantern here to make the block vanish. Then make your way around the room and open the chest in the middle to get a red kinstone piece. Make your way around the room and light the second torch to move another block. Continue your way around the room and bomb the wall on the left side of the room.
Defeat the insane amount of enemies in this room and grab the key that appears in the middle of the room. Head back right to the maze room.
Make your way to the top-right of the room defeating the enemies, and open the chest to get another Kinstone piece. Just to the left of the cheat follow the path and light the torch in this room and another block will vanish. Once again make your way around the room to get to another chest and torch.
Open this chest for yet another kinstone piece and light the final torch to remove the block. Make your way to the door at the top-left and use your small key to get through it. Run past this room to your left doing your cest to avoid the fire snakes as they can be deadly if you get trapped. Once you head left a room, you will be back in a room you were in before but now at a spot you couldn't reach before. Kill the two flying enemies here and make your way across the platform of ice and up a room. Let there be light! Back in the light head up through the tunnel passage and head left a room. Clone link and push the top block to the left. Then clone link once again and push the right block down. Repeat with the other tiles and push the left block down and then the top block to the right and go through the door.
In this room push the first ice block left. Then push the second ice block down and left onto the switch. Head back to the right side of the room and stand on the top most tile and hold your sword to charge up. Walk around and clone yourself on the third tile. Make your way all the way to the left side of the room avoiding hitting your clone against blocks. Step on the middle switch and your cloan should be on the top one to open the door. Avoid the snakes and push the block at the top-right up once and head left a screen. Kill the enemies and melt the patch of ice at the top-left. Clone link verticly and togethor push the block to the right. Kill or avoid the enemies and head up the stairs and left a screen. This room just sucks. You need to light all nine lanterns, while on ice, and while you are slipping. Might take awhile but eventually you'll get it and head left a room. Dive under the spikes and make your way down. Kill the pinsors and then head through the door at the bottom right. Kill the enemies, press the switch, break the barrels to reveal an arrow, and bomb the wall to head up a room.
Keep your lantern lit and kill the two worms in this room and then head right a room. Head up a screen and cross the ice platform and head up the stairs. Kill the enemies and then head up the steps and down a screen. Simply head right here. Once again in this room, clone link and then push the lever and it will melt the element. A huge Octorok will suck in the element. Drop down, but before heading right there are a couple chests left in the dungeon. These aren't necessary, but if you would like to "complete" the dungeon head left a screen. Head up diving under the spikes and make your way around this antire area until you jump down the huge waterfall again. Get on the lilypad and continue until the water splits and head upwards. Head straight up and melt the treasure chest here and open it to get 100 mysterious shells.
Get back on the lilypad and head all the way to the left side of this room and head left a room. Get onto the platform and melt the chest to get another kinstone piece. You do not need the lilypad anymore so now you can swim your way all the way back to the huge waterfall. Climb the wall on the left and backtrack all the way back to the room where the element was. Now that thats all out of the way, finally follow the octork and head down a screen.
The Big Octo will sit in the center of the map in its first stage of the battle. It will shoot rocks out at you. In order to kill him use your sword to strike the rocks back at Big Octo. The magic number here is three to defeat this stage of the boss. Big Octo will now melt the entire ground and its new attack will be that its spinning around trying to suck you win. Avoid him and use your flame lantern on its tail. Once you burn him the room will return to normal and you will once again need to bounce rocks back at Big Octo. During the battle, Big Octo does have another attack where it turns the entire room dark and rocks fall from the ceiling. Keep your flame lantern lit at all times and continue your attacking methods. Three times through this process will put an end to Big Octo.
After Big Octo is defeated Link will grab the Water Element in the center of the map.
Afterwords grab the Full Heart Container and head through the portal to the entrance of the temple. Stand in the middle to resize outside of the temple.
