While it has been a fun time, it is now time to return Bow Wow to it's rightful owner. From just outside Bottle Grotto head down a screen, lift the blocks with the Power Bracelet and head down once again. Jump over the holes and head left into the Mysterious Forest. On a side note, if you do not have more than 200 rupees by now, keep slashing at bushes to grab some extra ones. Head left and there are some blocks in front of a cave here. Unfortunately we don't have what we need to get what is inside the cave so just head down a screen. There is a block at the top-right of this screen, lift it to reveal a passage and head down it. Walk up the steps here and sprinkle some magic powder on the middle hole like thing. A bat will awake and just keep saying yes to his questions and he will grant you the ability to carry double the magic powder. Afterward exit the cave.
Head down a screen and enter the cave here once again. Head passed the first two screens and get to the screen with the heart container. Just lift the two skull like items with your Power Bracelet and grab the quarter heart container found here. This should be your fourth heart piece which will give you a full heart added to your health. Exit the cave.
Head left a screen and down a screen. There is another block here with a chest on the other side. Lift the rock and open the chest to get your 2nd Secret Seashell. Leave the Mysterious Forest at the exit to the south. Continue and make your way to Bow Wow's house.
Head inside to talk to Lady Meow Meow and she will apparently kiss you for bringing back her precious Bow Wow. After that is over with, head right two screens and cut the bushes here if you need some more rupees. Continue leaving and re-entering the screen until you have saved up to 210 rupees. Then head up a screen and enter the shop here. There are two new items up for sale here. The bombs and the shovel. 210 rupees will buy both of them, so go ahead and do that.
If you re-enter the shop there is a Bow & Arrow set for sale for a rediculous price pf 980 rupees. While there is a way to steal them, this walkthrough doesn't condone stealing. If you really want to steal them, grab them and stand above the cashier. You need to quickly run out the door before he can turn his head. Might take some tries but you'll eventually get it. As a penalty for stealing, the rest of the game you will be known as "thief" rather than the name you selected at the start of the game. Now that we have these two new items, there are a few more seashells that we can get. However, these aren't vital to your quest, so if you want go on now, skip the rest of this box as well as the next one to go further in the main quest. Exit the shop and head back to Bow Wow again. Head through the entrance on the right and dig at the bottom-right corner to find the 3rd secret seashell.
Exit the house and head all the way back to Tail Cave. Head inside and make your way up a room, then left a room, and up one more. Place a bomb against the mysterious part of wall on the left of the room to reveal a passage. Open the chest to get the 4th mysterious shell. Exit Tail Cave and head back to Bow Wow's house is located in Maybe Village.
Head down a screen and right two screens to get to a building labeled Shop. Head inside to play the "Trendy Game". Talk to the man and pay him 10 rupees to play the game. Head over to the controls at the left to control the game. You are allowed to move the crane once horizantally and once vertically using the A and B buttons. Move it over the Yoshi Doll in the center. This should be relatively easy since the Yoshi Doll doesn't move. Pick-up your reward of Yoshi. This game is also a place to start racking up some rupees to pay for the Bow and Arrow. There are two rupees on the moving platform each worth 30 rupees. Play the game and move the crane horizontally so it is directly over the top-left corner of the moving platform. Once the rupee starts moving upwards at the far right of the platform press the other button to release the crain downwords. You can repeat this process twice and then just re-enter the store to play again.
Exit the Trendy Game and head up three screens and left one screen. Enter the house here and talk with the women that is holding the baby. She will want the Yoshi Doll so give it to her. In exchance she will give you the ribbon.
Now that we have the ribbon head back to your good old friend Bow Wow. Enter through the door on the right and talk with the mini bow wow. Trade the ribbon for the dog food.
Exit this house and head left a screen. Now head down all the way until you get to the screen with two octoroks and trees. From here head right three screens, cut down the bushes, and enter the house. Talk to the aligator here and give him the Dog Food. After eating it he will give you some bananas. This trading sequence will continue in the future, but this is as far as we can get for now so exit the house.
Head back to Bow Wows House. Head right two screens, up a screen, and right a screen to exit town and enter the Ukuku Prarie. Lift the rocks here and head right a screen. There is a weird looking hole here. Don't mind it for now and head down three screens. Continue right a screen and down one more to get to a small house. If you read the sign, you will see that this is Richard's Villa.
Enter the house and talk with Richard and he will give you a short background of himself saying that he use to live in the Castle. Agree to collect his Golden Leaves and he says he will give you the Key to Ukuku Prarie. Exit his house, head right, up three, right again, up two, right once more, and up again. (Just keep heading north and east) until you get to a large castle that has a huge gate blocking the entrance. Just head to the right through the small passage until you find a monkey. Talk to him and give him the banana that we have been trading for. In return him and his monkey friends will build a bridge for you.
The monkeys will also leave a stick on the bridge, so grab it and head up a screen. Head up two screens and then left a screen.
There is a lone bush here, slash it to reveal a staircase. Make your way through this underground passage and you will then be in the Castle Courtyard.
Once outside again, head left a screen and then down a screen. There is a crow sitting on the tree here. Trigger him to fly towards you by throwing one of the stones at him. Hit it twice to defeat it. The Crow will leave the first Golden Leaf.
Make your way to the other side of the castle courtyard and you find a screen that has six holes in the ground with an enemy hiding underneath and coming up to throw bombs at Link. Move quickly and try to srike him before he goes back under. Three strikes will do the job and you will be rewarded with the second Golden Leaf. Head down a screen and left a screen. Enter the castle.
Head left and defeat the gel and the guards. Try avoiding the bubble in this room. After the three enemies have been defeated, the third Golden Leaf will fall.
Head up a screen and then right a screen. Defeat the enemies and step on the switch to open up the gate in front of the castle. Head left a screen through the top passage and then head up the steps. There are two mysterious looking walls here in this room. Place a bomb on the left one and a guard will pop out. Defeat him for the fourth Golden Leaf. Head right, down, left, and exit the dungeon here.
Head through the other entrance to the dungeon that is just to your right. The door locks on you so pick-up a pot and toss it at the door to open it up. Head up to face a Ball and Chain Trooper. Strike him once and then move away far enough so his chain doesn't hit you. Repeat this eight times to defeat the Ball and Chain trooper and collect the final Golden Leaf. Back track through the entire castle and exit at the main entrance. Head straight down and the gate is no longer there. Now make your way all the way back to Richard's Villa. If you don't remember, simply check your map.
After some small talk, Richard will move out of the way. Push the box out of the way and head down the stairway here. There are some enemies that come up from under the ground here. Kill them and take the left passage. Push the block into the hole and then open the chest to get the fifth Secret Seashell. Now take the right side and head up the steps there. Make your way out of the cave here.
There a maze within the bushes here. If you cut down the bushes it will either reveal the ground or a hole. The grass areas on the edges are the passages to the next screens. Keep cutting bushes around you and head down a screen through the only passage. Head straight down on this screen to the bottom of the area and then straight right to get to the next screen. Stay at the outer edge of this area and make your way up a screen. About half way up the screen you can start cutting bushes to the left. Cut all the bushes around and head left through the small passage.
Cut down the lone bush here and use your shovel to dig in the space where the bush stood to find the Slime Key. Now backtrack all the way to Ricahrd's Villa.
Exit his house and head up a screen, left a screen, and up one more. Use the Slime Key here to unlock the dungeon. However, you cannot quite get into it from here. Head back to Richard's Villa and head right a screen and up three screens. Head down on the left part of the screen. Use Roc's Feather to jump to the platform in the water and head left a screen. Climb the steps here and then head left you will see two enemies. Defeat or avoid them and use your shovel to dig in between the four grass areas to find your 6th Seashell! Afterwards, head back right, down, then left a screen and enter the third dungeon, Key Cavern.
Once you step forward the door above will shut. Like before grab a jar and toss it at the door to open it up. Don't mind the room to the right for now.
Head up to find some enemies. Defeat them all and a chest will appear. Open it up for a small key and head up through the right side. Defeat the four zols here and a chest lies in front of you. Open it and there is a Zol hiding in there. Defeat him as well and then head up a screen. Defeat the stalfos here and head up again.
Head down the steps here and you will be in a room with four locked doors. Use a key on the door at the top and enter it. Defeat the enemies that fall and grab the small key that drops down. Before heading back a room hit the switch here. Head down a screen and back up the stairs.
You should now have access to the chest here since we hit the switch. Head back down two screens and head through the door on the right.
With the blocks down we can walk around the room and get to the chest. Defeat the enemy and open the chest to get the dungeon map! Now head left a screen, back up two screens, and down the steps once again.
Head through the locked door on the left. There are three enemies in this room. To defeat the warping enemies in this room, just use a couple bombs. After all the enemies are defeated a small key will fall. Grab it and head back right a screen.
Unlock the door at the bottom and head through it. A few enemies in this room. The bird like enemy is a new enemy we haven't encountered before. Lift a jar and toss it at him to defeat him. Defeat the rest of the enemies and a small key will fall down for you. Grab it and head back up a screen. Use the key on the door to the right. Make your way around this room and head up the steps.
There are five zols hidden underground in this room. Walk around the room to get them to come out and kill them. Grab the small key that falls down and head up a screen. Head up a screen and kill the enemies here. Head left and you will see a bunch of gels with a zol in the center. Defeat them to unlock the doors and head up to fight the dungeon sub-boss.
This Mini-Boss is very similar to the Dodongo's in the original Legend of Zelda game. While they look more like snake like figures, what you need to do his plant bombs right in front of their mouthes. They will swallow the bombs and they will explode inside of them. Three bombs are needed to defeat each of them. This could be tough since you are limited to how many bombs you can hold. However, there is an obvious glitch that I have found in the game. If you defeat just one of them and then climbs the steps and head down a screen. Immediately turn back and head up a screen and the mini-boss will be gone and a red portal will now be here that transports you to the entrance of the dungeon. Just as if you were to have defeat the sub-boss.
A portal will be left for you that takes you to the first room in the dungeon. Head right a screen and move the two blocks and open the chest to get the Pegasus Boots. The Pegasus Boots allow Link to dash really quickly. You can dash through the crystal like rocks in this room here. You can move the block at the right here as well and head right a screen. The owl statue here will give you a hint about bombable walls here. There is a huge arrow pointing downwards here. Place a bomb at the tip of the wall at the bottom and head down a screen.
Don't mind the wall on the left as it just leads to a previous room we have been to. Equip your Pegasus Boots and Rocs Feather. In order to get across the large gap you must dash across and jump with Rocs Feather as you get close to the gap. Do so and climb the steps on the other side. Jump over the gap and open the chest to get the Nightmares Key. Jump off the ledge and head up a screen.
Kill the enemies and head left a screen here. Open the chest to get the Compass. Place a bomb against the middle of the wall on the left and a passage will be revealed.
Head through it and defeat the enemies here and a small key will drop down. Grab it and then back track to the large arrow room. From here head left, down, and then left two more rooms.
Defeat all the enemies in this room and a small key will appear. Some of the enemies will warp away if you get close to them. Just dash at them with the Pegasus Boots to defeat them. Head up through the one way door and defeat the few enemies here. A chest will appear on the higher platform. Don't mind it for now and head up another screen. Make your way around this room and head up the steps and down a screen. Open the chest here for some rupees and continue down and right. Push the block and head up back into the mini-boss room. Head through the portal to get to the entrance of the dungeon.
Head right a screen and use your pegasus boots to dash into the enemy that is repelling you away. Open the chest to get another small key. Head back left a screen and throw a barrel against the door to open it and head up.
Head up along the left side this time and use your pegasus boots to break the crystal blocks. Head up again and defeat the one enemy on this side of the room. Head back down two screens and head back up two screens on the other side of the room. Defeat the two enemies left in this room and a chest will appear. Open it up to get 200 rupees! Head back to the entrance and step through the warp.
Head down a screen and use a key on the block here. Head up a screen and use a key here as well. Head right a screen and use a key here. Head down a screen and use your final key here. Head down the steps. Use your Pegasus Boots to ram into the large block thats in your way. It wall fall down so fall down on top of it and head right. Use the Pegasus Boots / Rocs Feather combination to make this jump over this gap. Climb the ladder, avoid the enemy, and climb down on the other side.
Defeat the enemies in this room by dashing into them with your Pegasus Boots. Use Rocs Feather to get the heart floating in the air and head left a screen. If you kill all the Keese in this room a small key will be left for you, although you don't really need it so head up a screen to face the dungeon boss, Slime Eyes. To make Slime Eyes appear, dash into the wall and he will fall from the ceiling.
Just slice at him with your sword and you will see that he is begining to split into two. After several slices dash into him with your Pegasus Boots and he will split into two forms. At this point just slice at each form with your sword until they are defeated.
Once both pieces are done, you have defeated Slime Eyes. Grab the Heart Container that is left for you and head up a screen.
Grab your third instrument, the Sea Lily's Bell. A white screen will come up and it will say ...WATERFALL... It is hidden in the waterfall... You will then be taken to the outside of the dungeon. Congradulations on defeating the third dungeon.
