1.1 The Bombs
Total Life

New
Items
:

  - The Second Quest is for veteran Zelda players or those just up for a challenge. It is considerably harder than the first quest in many ways, and items, shops, etc. have been moved around the overworld, plus some enemies have gained new abilities.

  - To start the Second Quest, you must complete the First Quest, then the next time you load your file, You'll appear at the start of the Second Quest. Alternatively, for cheaters, you can just make a new file named ZELDA and that will start the new quest automatically.
The Journey Begins

  - Upon starting the Second Quest, enter the cave right on this screen and Old Man who takes up residence here will give you your very first sword, the Wooden Sword, it's not very strong, but it will get the job done until we can get it replaced. Exit the cave.
  Wooden Sword
  - This sword is given to us by the Old Man. It's not very strong, but it will do until we can replace it.
  - Start heading right so we can go grab the first item. You'll meet some Octoroks, Tektites, Leavers and Zolas along the way. Kill the Octoroks Tektites and Leavers for some Rupees, but just avoid the Zolas Fireballs, as we really can't do anything about them right now. Just head right trying to collect as many rupees as you can.
  Bombs
  - Bombs can be used as a weapon or to blow up walls to reveal secrets. They are commonly dropped from the more difficult enemies.
 - Once you've reached the Eastern Coast, head up once and enter the cave here. Kill the Octoroks if you need some rupees still, we want 20 of them so we can buy the Bombs from the shop here. Obviously bombs blow up, but we can use them to find some secrets. If you've got some from a Blue Octorok, you probably don't want them, but if you can afford it, you might want to pick up another set of Bombs, as we can hold 8.

Secret Rupee Location 2
-Now that we have the Bombs, lets go explore a bit and find us some cool stuff. First off, we need to save up some funds for a new item. That should be easy. Start off by heading left two, avoiding Moblins, up two and left one and tap the left Armos Statue to make it start moving and it will reveal a staircase. Enter it for a Moblin that will give you 10 rupees! Eh, it's not that much, but it helps.

  - Head left one and up one and tap the right Armos for another staircase with another Moblin giving us Rupees, this time he'll give us 30. How nice! Now, head up once more and blow up the top wall to the left of the path heading up. Enter the cave for another Moblin with 30 rupees.

 - Exit the cave and head up once, right once and up once. Enter the cave for another shop. This time, let's buy the Blue Candle, as it will be quite useful in our treasure hunting.

  Blue Candle
 - The Blue Candle can be used as a useful weapon, but it's best purpose is burning down certain trees to find secrets in the overworld. Sadly, it can only be used once per screen, so if you miss a shot, you'll have to leave and try again.

  - With the Blue Candle we can find some cool stuff, so let's go! Head down one left one and down one, then head left twice and down three times and burn the lonely bush on the left side on the bottom for another secret staircase with 10 rupees.

  - You should have 90 or more rupees at this point, so head up one and burn the bush in the corner for a hidden shop. The shopkeeper makes a remark that his items are expensive, which I don't think is very good shop keeping skills, but buy the Magical Shield from him, as it's very helpful for the next dungeon.
- Head left tree times and up one and burn the top bush before the trees start to form a wall across the top of the screen for 30 more rupees. Head up two and burn the far right bush on the right for 30 rupees.

- Head down three and left twice and burn the far left bush in the bottom row for 10 more rupees.

  Magical Shield
 - This huge shield allows us to block magical attacks such as those fireballs Zolas shoot at us, and sword beams that Stalfos will soon shoot at us.

  - The trek to Western Hyrule is very difficult without a more powerful sword, some more life, and an upgrade to your defense, so just be warned if you're willing to grab these next optional items.

  - So before even reaching Western Hyrule, we can grab some Rupees on the way there. There is an expensive item that you'll probably want, but it's pretty pricey, so saving now would be a good idea. We won't collect all of the funds now, but we will later. Start off by heading down one, left one, down one, right two and up one. Burn the bottom bush on the left for a Secret Rupee passage with a whopping 100 rupees.

Secret Rupee Location 10
  - We can grab another one, so head left twice and burn the right-most bush on the bottom row for 10 rupees. Not much compared to the last one, but every little bit helps.

  - Once out of the Lost Woods, head up twice, right once, up once, right once and up once and enter this cave for another 30 secret rupees. Not too much, but it helps.

  - Leave the cave and head down one, right one, up one, and right one. Tap the top Armos on the very right and it will give you the Power Bracelet, enabling us to push heavy stuff.
Heart Container 1
The Hidden Cave

  - With the Power Bracelet we can go grab a Heart Container. Head left one, down one, left three and up one. Push the second from the left in the middle row of tombstones to reveal a secret staircase. Enter it for an old man offering either some Red Medicine or a Heart Container. We can just buy the Red Potion Later, so just grab the Heart Container and leave.

  - There still is one thing left to get, but we can't afford it until a bit later, so we're all set to tackle the first dungeon.
Secret Rupee Location 8
  - Now we want to start heading towards Western Hyrule. Head down one and you'll enter the Lost Woods. You'll be stuck here forever unless you head right or follow the correct pattern. Head Up, Left, Down, Left and you'll escape towards the West.

  Power Bracelet
 - The Power Bracelet lets you use warp portals, as well as push heavy things to find secrets.
