This section is dedicated to certain sites that we think deserve recognition for their skills and hard work in designing and maintaining Zelda websites. Many sites qualify, but we look at individuals ourselves and decide who to put up. It could range from content to media, as well as frequent updates. But, the main idea is to find new sites that obviously have been working hard from day one. We may even throw in some large/moderate Zelda sites here and there. You cannot apply your own site, but you can recommend us to other sites that you think deserve it by e-mailing us.
• Zelda Elements : In the early part of the decade when sites were popping up from the aftermath of the success of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, Zelda Elements was born. Quickly shooting up to the top with their great content, amazing looks, and large fanbase, Zelda Elements was one of the prime players of the online Zelda Commmunity. After several years near the top, support from a great gaming site like gamespy, and even with tension between other popular Zelda sites, Zelda Elements had suddenly disappeared. After what seemed to be forever, Zelda Elements returned in a way. Bringing their site back online but it became the same old song and dance with updates no where in site. Suddenly, Zelda Elements had launched what they consider the Complete Zelda site, and they aren't far off with that statement.
One of the most complete Zelda sites out there. Zelda Elements has thee largest collection of game content for every single Zelda game. Just about every game page of theirs includes descriptions as well as images to bring the content to life. What sets Zelda Elements apart in the content prespective, is the completeness. There are so many Zelda sites out there that do the main console games with indepth content, but Zelda Elements has put just as much effort into the handheld Zeldas as well as as the spin-offs such as the Four Swords titles. To top it off, Zelda Elements also provides coverage on the three Phillips CDi titles. Showing they aren't scared to look to even the darkest corners of the Zelda Franchise.
Zelda Elements is one of the prettiest Zelda sites you'll ever see. Back in the glory days of Zelda Elements, they were setting the standard with how a Zelda site should look like. Even after their long layoff, they recently returned and have one of the best layouts I've ever seen for a Zelda site. Not sure what it is, but the color blend that they use and the layout of where everything is on the site is just brilliant. Zelda Elements remains unmatched visually amongst the community.
Elements is not just a pretty Zelda site full with content, they have that extra...... something... that I can't seem to point a finger at. As a Zelda webmaster myself, just reading his updates is just drastically different than reading my own or from other sites. It gives you the feeling that he's actually talking directly to you and not just typing for the world. Zelda Elements is one of the finest Zelda sites on the net, and is one of the inspirations that I have to make Zelda Dungeon the best it could be.
