: What is the Light Force? :
|
Not sure how many players of The Legend Of Zelda: The Minish Cap noticed that there was no Triforce spoken of, but this is true. No one in-game makes even the slightest hint towards the Triforce. But everyone knows about something called the Light Force. Is it a coincidence that both articles have the word "force" in their names? I beg to differ. The Light Force is none other than the Triforce of Wisdom.
"How can this be so?" you ask. I'll tell you.
First, let me go back, way back, to the Hyrule of Ocarina of Time. What happens to the Triforce when the one who touches it has all aspects (Power, Wisdom and Courage) unbalanced? According to Shiek, it shatters, leaving the aspect the toucher most believes in behind to him (or her) and the other two's wielders are chosen by destiny. Notice how almost every time the Triforce is spoken of Wisdom is held by the princess Zelda. Keep that in mind as we go on to the time of the Great Sea. As player of that game should know, Link and Tetra were asked by Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule to form a new Hyrule. Now warp forward back to Minish Cap. As you can see by the map, you are indeed in Hyrule, but a rather squished one. This could be because this is the new Hyrule, thus is all the land the people know. Few probably dare to venture outside the known boundaries. (How do I know there is more out there? Well if any of you reading this have been to Mt. Crenel in Minish Cap, you should see a menagerie of mountains in the distance once you reach the peak. Also, if you climb a beanstalk, you see a vast river and further mountains. Sure, it may seem a mere space filling background, but it could also be unexplored territory.)
Now then, that being said, remember the whole Triforce deal? The Triforce of Wisdom always ends up with the princess. However, since Ganondorf's defeat at the hands of the Link and Zelda of Wind Waker, the Triforce has not been mentioned. It's meaning and connection with the Royal Family has probably been long since forgotten. The only evidence it even existed rests within the Princess of Hyrule, Zelda.
She has Wisdom, as had her foremothers.
"But how come no one else in game knows that?" you may ask. I'll tell you: It's because no one else near the princess has the other two pieces. The only true way the Triforce is seen is if one who has a section is near someone else with a section, hence why Ganondorf's Triforce of Power resonated when it was near Tetra's Triforce of Wisdom (albeit incomplete). Seeing as how he's out of the picture, and Link's piece is no where to be found, no one else has a piece but Zelda. Thus, as proven by the evidence I have presented, the Light Force is none other than the symbol of Nayru: The Triforce of Wisdom.
