As we all know, the three goddesses Din, Nayru, and
Farore decended upon chaos and created Hyrule. Din
created the Red Earth, Nayru created the Law of the
World, and Farore created the Life that would uphold
the Law. But why? Where did the goddesses come from?
And why does Ganondorf always seem to come back to try
and destroy it?
My theory is that the Goddesses were the Children of
Mudora, the Mother of All. Mudora was born into chaos
alone, and in her loneliness, she gave birth to four
goddesses. The goddesses were Din Goddess of Power,
Nayru Goddess of Wisdom, Farore Goddess of Courage,
and Ralyn Goddess of Freedom. The five would play, and
Mudora's loneliness was vanquished. Then, as a gift,
Din, Nayru, and Farore created the earth. But Ralyn,
out of jelousy for not being let in, created a mirror
world that was darker. This dark world was home to a
single demon, Mandrag Ganon. Ralyn then created eight
portals between the two worlds for Ganon's evil power
to enter. Ralyn's plan was to destroy the earth that
her sisters had created. But before Ganon could do so,
Mudora sealed it away in the dark earth, along with
Ralyn. Din, Nayru, and Farore then created the
Triforce as a seal for those two. The dark earth then
became the Sacred Realm, and thought of as a heaven.
No one really knew the true nature of the dark world.
That's my theory.
