Lying on the ground gasping for breathe, Link could barely move. He was in
pain and worse, he could hear Zelda panting trying to blast Ganon away. But
he was to powerful and she too was tired like Link. I can't give up!, Link
thought to himself, I have to destroy Ganon once and for all! Link got up
and wiped the blood from his mouth.
"You better stay away from her you worthless Hylian!" Link shouted at
Ganondorf. But all he did was laugh at Link.
"You think that I'll stop just because of an insult?! If that's what you
think then you're a fool and should be taught a lesson!" Ganondorf bellowed
and smacked Link to the ground.
"Nothing you do is going to stop me from saving the woman I love." Link
said, struggling to get to his feet. Zelda came running towards Link,
crying. She hugged him and cried uncontrollably.
"Don't be a fool, Link! You can't win this fight. You're to tired." Zelda
said, her voice breaking up.
"He won't get you. I made a vow to myself and Faroe that he wouldn't take
you, no matter what. I'll fight for until judgement day. Even in Death,
Ganondorf couldn't stop me." Zelda's tears had left a watery stain on Link's
tunic, but then again, so had his blood and sweat. Ganondorf growled and
said "This is getting annoying having this useless girl interrupt a battle!"
Ganondorf then kicked Zelda off Link and she fell to the ground with a deep
gash in her head. But she was barely bleeding. Ganon had just knocked her
out.
"And to stop her from interrupting again, I'll lock her in a crystal that
will only break if I were to lose this fight!" Ganondorf does as he says and
Zelda's body is preserved in it but now her head bleeds blood that is almost
black. Link doesn't have much time to save her soul.
"How you can hit a girl and not feel remorse is disgusting. And hitting a
goddess in front of me is the worst mistake anyone can make. You will know
what pain feels like when this battle is over!" Link screamed, having his
eyes on fire and feeling like all of his strength was back.
"You only have an hour to save her so cut the talk and let's fight!" Saying
that, the rain poured down hard. Thunder roared and lightning flashed
violently in the night sky. Both Link and Ganon were drenched with rain,
sweat, and blood. Swords clashed and neither of them would give the least
bit sign of weakness. Link used all the knowledge of sword fighting that he
knew but it wasn't good enough. Ganon was using his powers to throw Link off
balance. This isn't fair!, Link thought to himself, he's using his powers as
a cheat and should be punished. I pray to the Creators Din, Nayru, and
Faroe, give me god strength to defeat this fiend! At first, the rain
continued to pour and the thunder roared just as loud. Until a light
appeared between Link and his foe. The light was golden and had a pure glow.
Link could see figures in it. It was the goddesses themselves! They've come
in answer of Link's prayer!
"Thou has cheated in this fight, Sir Ganondorf of the Gerudos!" Nayru said
calmly.
"You have misused the power and trust of the gods, Ganon!" Faroe seemed more
angry.
"Worst of all, you have dishonored me. I chose you to hold my piece and you
used it to hit a fellow goddess and rule Heaven and Earth." Din was furious.
She had chose Ganon to hold her piece thinking he would not miss use the
power. The goddesses became a light again and shot themselves into Link. He
fell in shock and saw his body glow with a golden light. His cuts and
bruises had disappeared and he had regained his strength.
"I have my strength back and more! Now, I can complete my destiny!" Link ran
toward Ganon with the Master sword. The rain had poured harder and the
lightning flashed closer to their battle. Zelda had about ten minutes.
Before she would belong to Heaven. But Link was determined to get her out
before she would die. Link took one last slash at Ganon.
"AAAAAAHHHH!!!" Ganon yelled in pain. He dropped to the ground, gasping for
air. "I'll get you in my next life. That is a promise. Both of you will die
slow, bloody, and painfully..."Ganon fell dead to the ground after saying
those words. The crystal Zelda was laying in evaporated and she slowly got
up. She staggered toward Link, but fell a couple feet before him. The
goddesses left Link and returned to Heaven to watch over them.
"Zelda!" Link ran to get her. "Hang in there, Zelda. You aren't gonna die!
Hang onto your life!" Link started to shed tears of great sorrow and held
onto Zelda's hand.
Link...play..the ocarina..play the song of time..to reverse...back seven
years. Quickly..before my life ends..." Zelda said that and closed her eyes.
She did in fact let a tear fall.
"Zelda, don't go!" Link's tears came out more and became larger.
"Link, hurry and play the Song of Time! Your hands still glow so you still
have god powers. Quickly!" Navi shouted and started to shed tears too. She
and Zelda had been great friends and she never wanted to see her go this
horribly.
"You're right. I can't let Ganon win." Link then began to play the Song o
Time. The rain still poured but the thunder and lightning stopped. All six
of the sages appeared in their Chamber Circle and shot a light out of the
Temple of Time. From Death Mountain to the edge of Lake Hylia, the light
reached and everything changed back to it's state seven years ago. Link fell
in exhaustion. Navi witnessed Hyrule Castle reappear. Link's body became
small and Zelda changed back to her state too. Navi herself, became seven
years younger. All of them, except Ganondorf, were lying in the Castle
Courtyard. Zelda had no gash in her head and Link was no longer bloody.
"Uh..."Zelda once again slowly got up and looked around. Her face seemed
confused and realized that she was alive and well. She was small and young.
"Link! You did it! You've reversed time!...Link?" Link was still o the
ground dozed off. Zelda: crawled over to him and hugged him. She had never
been so happy to see Link. She remembered everything that happened up until
Ganon bashed her head.
Link awoke to tears of joy from Zelda, Navi, and Impa. Impa had noticed them
just appear and ran over to see what happened. "Uh..my head hurts." Link
looked around. He saw all three girls bent over him. Zelda had the happiest
face on but her eyes watered. Link knew that Zelda was crying in joy and not
sorrow. "So, he's gone?"
"Not from the past. He had just arrived thirty minutes ago." Impa told him.
"But we can stop him before history repeats itself!" Navi exclaimed. Link
got up and look around agin. "We really are here. This isn't a dream!
YAHOO!!!!" Link shouted. "It isn't a dream!"
Zelda joined in his rejoicing and they began running and spinning all over
the place. Navi had gotten trampled a couple times in the process but she
was ok. The sun shined for what seemed forever and Link had to leave Zelda
or Daphnes would catch him in the castle again.
"Zelda, when I said that you were the woman I loved, I wasn't kidding. I'm
serious. I've thought about you ever since we met." Link told Zelda. Zelda
then grabbed his hands. Hers were warm and Zelda's face gleamed in the sun,
even though it was sunset. She was even more beautiful in the sunset then in
moonlight.
"Link, I knew you meant it all. You had a fire in your eyes. When you say
something from your heart, your eyes get that way. But, I must ask for
ocarina back. I need it to lock Ganon away if he ever tries to do this
again." Zelda says. Link takes the ocarina out and puts a ring made out of
all three of the Spiritual Stones broken pieces. Zelda doesn't notice
because of a glare in her eyes. Link hands her the ocarina. "And Zelda, keep
the ring." Link walks away with Navi resting on his shoulders. Zelda watches
him leave and shouts to him "Promise me you'll come back tomorrow!" and Link
shouts back, "It's a date!" And he runs off in the sunset having guards yell
at him for sneaking into the castle.
"What did he mean keep the ring?" Zelda asked herself. As she moves, the
ocarina rattles. "Huh?" she turns it upside down and the ring that Link made
popped out. It gleamed and projected a reflection of the Triforce with it's
colors I the right place. "Oh my god! It's beautiful! You should take care
of that, Zelda.. Link made that for you." Impa says still staring at the
ring.
There's an inscription on the back!, Zelda thinks, 'I hope that one day we
can be together forever. Love, Link.' One day, we will be together. In life
or death.
