As the release of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD approaches, we’re continuing to learn more about it, as you can see from recent articles. One interesting change to the game was recently unveiled by a tweet from GameXplain. Hit the jump to find out what it is!
As you can see below, the tweet details a piece of news regarding the opening cinematic of the game: namely that it can be skipped. The scene, which establishes The Wind Waker’s place in the timeline, and recounts the legends and lore that inform the rest of the game’s plot can be fairly lengthy. So it makes sense that some may want to cut to the chase and get to the gameplay, especially if they’re a returning player.
Personally, I enjoy that opening’s artwork and music, so I probably won’t take advantage of this feature. It remains to be seen whether any other cutscene can be skipped. What about you? Will you take advantage of the ability to skip this opening scene, or do you prefer to let the arcane music and scroll draw you into the world of the game?
