I would love to, but unfortunately my I’m not sure how good my grammar is, and I’m not always sure about my punctuation or that I have access to Skype. I probably would not be able to crank out one editorial a week. I do good to get one fanfic wrote once a year. 2 if I’m overcome with artistic brilliance.

    • Kabro006

god i wish i were just one year older ):(

      • LoupiTheMightyCucco

Wish i was two years older :P

        • firecrb

          With you on that.

          • calum davison bowden

            I third that.

            • Zdunce

              I fourth that.

      • someone

with you on that. Ive played enough zelda to be a sixteen year old. I know almost as much as some of the people here. And i am mature enough to be sixteen

      • oozy the wolf

why world why can’t the age be 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Nikki

I meet some of those requirements,(I’m over 16 and I have Skype, as well as being a very good speller) but I would have a hard time with committing to one editorial a week, unless it was on one of my off days from work and those are different every week, so I couldn’t commit to the same day every week. I also don’t know how well my grammar and punctuation are. I also don’t know what syntax is. It sounds like fun though!

      • http://ZeldaDungeon.net/ Jordan D.

Syntax basically refers to the sentence structure of a language. Proper knowledge of syntax would help a person to write in a way that their words work together in a proper manner so as not to confuse the reader.

        • Nikki

That makes sense. I know I’m not very good at that then. I only meet a few of the requirements for sure.

      Does it pay?

      • Skull Kid

        I’m pretty sure it’s a nonprofit organization.

      • http://ZeldaDungeon.net/ Jordan D.

No, most if not all of the Zelda Dungeon staff work voluntarily. Don’t quote me on this, but I’m pretty sure the only staff member who gets any money out of this site is Mases… and he owns the place.

        • http://twitter.com/superbott77 Eric Bott

That was my guess. I wouldn’t mind submitting a guest article without compensation from time to time, but for a weekly commitment, I’d want some compensation, even if it were minimal. No big deal. I’m sure there are others out there who are interested.

    • Skull Kid

I wish I was 3 years older… oh well, it’s good to be positive! Can’t wait to see who you choose!

    • ShadowBeast

UGH! I wish I was older, haha. :) Can’t wait to see the newest writer for Zelda Dungeon!!!! :D

    • Jono

Like many others in this comment section, I’m not

    • Dominic

I would love to but I am way too caught up in school, how frequent would we be required to post? And how much of an expert do we have to be?

    • Atticus

You don’t /have/ to be 16 to join the article team. I’ve seen plenty of users who are under the age of 16 and have written exceptional articles; however, those users have phenomenal usage of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax for their ages, making learning their way around writing editorials a breeze. I think the most difficult part is being able to commit to writing articles every day. Yet again, not necessarily those who are under the age of 16, but I’ve seen a plethora of users who were tasked with the position of writing articles/editorials that have failed to commit one article/editorial every week — hell, even every month.

The point is, there are exceptions to these terms, but you need to be ahead of the game, determined, and definitely committed to making something everyone will understand and have fun reading.

      • Atticus

*being able to commit to writing articles every week.

    • rjhewgyrfu (aka ruifgyqforug)

I wonder… I’m 14, I usually have at least an hour of free time nearly every evening, I have “a good grasp of grammar, punctuation, spelling and syntax”… I can easily make a Skype account just for this, provided I don’t forget the password (:P)…

BUT, if my parents knew, they probably would be skeptical about me writing stuff for a random website, and they would definitely not approve my chatting with other random people over Skype. I know the guys at ZD aren’t random, but my parents don’t. :P

I think I’m just gonna wait a couple of years till I am a lot more independent… ZD won’t close during this time, will it? :P

    • MiniJen

i applied before… but due to personal stuff i never finished the application process… but i think i’m going to try again!!!1

      • Blakenator

And here I am, still unable to handle the workload. Trying to manage my time better, though!

    • Michael Medina

Im 12 and already write my own theorems and essays about Zelda Theory and do VG reviews for my school paper, and yet i’ve seen 22 year old columists on this site who can’t spell or use grammer correctly.

    • Super Smash Sis

I think you guys update enough as it is.

    • Hylian Jim

Being a wikia manager could be fun :)

    • LinkyKins

Aw man!! Why do I have to be 13?! :,(

      • I hear ya

    • Pokalink

By Editorial Writer, do you mean News Poster?

      • Pokalink

Or is it something entirely diffrent?

        • Atticus

It doesn’t necessarily have to be the latest news in Zelda. Editorials can be an analysis of games as a whole, mechanics, characters, dungeons, theories, rumors, ect. If it gets people talking, is accurate, and professional, then write as you please.

(If any of this is wrong, please let me know).

          • Pokalink

            Makes sense, thanks!

    • RubyDragonCat

Is this the same thing or different than the article writers? I put an application for article writer up ages ago…

    • IgosDuIkana

Too busy with AP classes to have time for anything. I am qualified and interested, but am too busy writing analytical papers and such for school.

    • zeldafan

darn it!!!!!! I wish I was 16, I love to write

    • Cmaster

Now, I’m not going to do this but couldn’t you all just lie about your age?

Which is bad so don’t do that…oops

    • Ahalii

Zelda article vs. ever-reoccuring history papers… Zelda sounds WAY more fun, but would probably result in parent-induced death.

    • Paper Link

I just might haveta look into this

    • radioactivehylian

I’d love to do more for this awesome site and do something like this, but I’m afraid I don’t have a strong enough grasp of the English language because it’s not my first language. Also, I’m not 16 yet :(

    • http://slveirlining.tumblr.com/ Slveir

At the moment, I don’t have any spare time; however, I’d love to next year once I finish up school! (:

    • Darunia

What about helping make walk-throughs for some of the Zelda games? Most of the games could use better walk-throughs, some more video walkthoughs would be good and there isn’t any walk-through at all for 4 swords.

      • Guy

i wish we had a video walk-through for ALttP :D

    • Ratchet25

You know, sometimes it sucks that my first console was a Gamecube

    • TSterTheGreat

I meet all but one of the requirements… One editorial a week would be pushing it for me.

Meh, I’m going to apply anyway

    • jake c

ahhh im turing FIFTEEN in june not sixeen

    • Fire and Ice Arrows

      Aw… I’m only 12….

    • http://www.facebook.com/marc.antonellis Marc Antonellis

I applied and never heard back. That was a least a week or so ago. Any chance I could get a rejection? haha
