Oracle of Seasons guide update and release speculation

With the recent announcements of both Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages for the Nintendo 3DS eShop, here at Zelda Dungeon we’ve started the process of updating much of our old game content for these two excellent titles. I’ve been working on upgrading the Oracle of Seasons Walkthrough, and I’ve happy to announce the first two chapters are now online. Over the course of the next few weeks, we’ll continue to update this guide, as well as upgrade our Oracle of Ages Walkthrough.

Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages both became available in Japan yesterday on February 27th, exactly 12 years after they initially released back in 2001. With the release coinciding with their 12th anniversary, to me it makes the most sense that for North America, we’ll probably get these games on May 14th, as that was when they released back in 2001. This is just my pure speculation, but it makes sense to me. Whatever the case might be, it’s nice to know they are on their way. Stay tuned for any additional news and guide updates concerning these two titles.

In Australia we got them on October 5th 2001, it would be a shame to wait that long
But I’m sure if they did the USA date they’d give Europe and Australia it at the same time, right? At least I hope they would…

Cool, I might just use the new guide and have another playthrough, although they weren’t exactly my favourite games in the series I must admit.

    Oh, I thought I remembered doing all of the first chapter and about half of the second chapter. I guess my memory isn’t too great.

I’m glad that you’re upgrading the walkthrough. The quick walkthrough is nice, but not if you’re trying to get all the items.

When I heard that they were rereleasing the Oracle game I got pretty excited since they’re the only Zelda games I hadn’t played. I got so excited, in fact, that I couldn’t wait and I ended up just ordering the original game boy versions off of eBay lol… so I’m currently in the third dungeon of Seasons and loving it

Awesome! I’ve been really excited for these walkthroughs because no other Zelda site gives the Oracle games the appreciation or attention they deserve. It’s looking very good so far.

  You’re probably have to use the password system, since link cables aren’t a thing anymore, but it was good foresight for nintendo to use it so we can access the linked game on its VC release.

I wonder how long it will take for the Ages walkthrough. I need a better walkthrough for that, it’s hard to follow the quick walkthroughs

can you update it for the entire ring collection? that would be really useful for those who like to 100% everything. like me. even though you can never completely get a 100%, there’s always that one ring in the linked game that you only get one way or the other ring you can only get the other way.
