Let’s Play Lost Isle: Parts 3-6

MasesJanuary 17th, 2013 by Mases

Over at the Zelda Dungeon YouTube Channel, I’ve been uploading daily videos of my Let’s Play for the Zelda Classic fan game, Lost Isle. If you make the jump, you can find videos 3-6, which cover the first dungeon in its entirety. Yes, that is four videos, spanning over an hour and 15 minutes, just for the first dungeon! Indeed this game is huge.

This fan game runs on the Zelda Classic player and you can download the game over at PureZC. It is a traditional top-down view 2D Zelda game and from what I’ve played so far, it’s a rather fun experience that I’d suggest to all Zelda fans.

Why do you keep saying “oh cobras!” ?

    • Zelda is the Bomb!!!

Maybe he has a fear of snakes

That is actually a very good assumption. (No sarcasm present)

Hey everyone, I have a question that might come off as stupid, but I’m not much of a computer person and I can’t find an answer anywhere else: I downloaded Zelda Classic 2.5 for my Mac, seeing screenshots on the website featuring SNES graphics. But when I finished downloading it, I have a program that seems to have only NES graphics. I would prefer to make a game with the SNES graphics. Is there anyway I can change this? Is an SNES style program not downloadable on Macs? Any ideas? Please and thank you or your help!

Yeah, what you need is to download a Tileset from the PureZC site. Then open that file through ZQuest and use that to build your quest. There are many styles of Tilesets, so you’ll just need to choose which one you like.
