A Link to the Past Enemy Artwork Update: Alex Megacaveman

MasesJanuary 20th, 2013 by Mases

Back in early November we started a Fan Artwork project for the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, with the goal of creating artwork for all of the enemies in the game. In a just a few months, we’ve accumulated over 100 artwork images sent in by 49 different users. They range from quick illustrations from children as young as 4 years old, all the way to some super high quality images created on a Paint Board. You can check out all of our current submissions over at the Facebook Gallery. If you’d like to send in your own artwork to be published at Zelda Dungeon it’s quite easy. Simply pick an enemy from the A Link to the Past Enemy Gallery, create a piece of Fan Artwork, and send it in to me at [email protected]

One of the contributors to the project is Alex MegaCave Man. He has created 11 different pieces and you can find all 11 of them in this post after the jump. The level of detail is amazing and he has his own distinctive style. MegaCave Man has committed to creating some more artwork for Zelda Dungeon and a second batch of artwork images are on their way! For now, go ahead and make the jump and check them out yourself. Be sure to comment and let MegaCave Man know what you think!

When I saw the Snap Dragon, I just HAD to do this:

Feed me! Feed me! Feed me Ganon! That’s right, sir you can do it. Feed me, Ganon! Feed me all night long. ‘Cause if you feed me Ganon, I can grow up big and strong.

I’m your monster, I’m your friend, I’m your willing slave. Take a chance, just feed me and you know the kinda eats, the kinda red hot treats the kinda sticky licky sweets I crave.

Come on, Ganon, don’t make me chastise. Trust me and your life will surely rival Demise. Take some initiative, work up the guts, and you’ll git it.

And if you wanna be profound, if you really gotta justify, take a breath and look around. A lot of folks deserve to die.

    [Look at Link]

If you want a rationale, it isn’t very hard to see. Stop and think it over, pal. The guy sure looks like plant food to me.

WOW!!!! Real great art. Best pictures I ever saw of zelda-enemies. I wish he would draw the cool knights in the red armor this style…

When will the winners be picked? It seems like this contest has been going on forever.
