Trailer for Link in Scribblenauts Unlimited

ChristinaNovember 23rd, 2012 by Christina

Whether you already own a Wii U (or–like me– you have to wait until Christmas) chances are you have looked into all the games that have come out for Nintendo’s brand new system. While we probably will not see a new Legend of Zelda game for the Wii U any time soon, Scribblenauts Unlimited is giving us a chance to bring Link into Maxwell’s world. A video recently posted on Nintendo’s YouTube page shows us how to use classic Zelda items and characters to help Maxwell advance in his journey. Make the jump to see it.

I have played other installments to the Scribblenauts series before, but I often found myself stuck. You have to be creative in order to beat some of the levels and it would seem like I would loose all creativity when I got to them. I like the idea of bringing in classic characters from Zelda and Mario into the game, and perhaps we will see other series represented too.

Have any of you bought this game yet? Do you like that you can bring in Zelda characters? Who else would you like to see in the game? Let us know in the comments!

  • The Hylian Monolith

Mm. I usually find that I can solve a puzzle with rope, a shovel, a Pegasus, a Kraken, Gods, walls, and Dragons. Pick four, let ‘em rip. Sometimes I’ll also use a black hole to get rid of a particularly obnoxious enemy.

    No trolls on this post!

  • Evil link

I like the fact that when link hits ganon with the master sword it yelps and runs away!

  • richa

    haha thats awesome xd

  • TrueMasterSwordWielder

I also may have to wait until Christmas. :(

  • Awsoman12345

Wait… it say’s “Exclusively on WiiU” Does this mean you can’t do it on the 3DS version?

    • Wing Feather

Yes, not everything is for 3DS… *GASP*

    • baileygirl99

Well, at the end of the trailer at the bottom of the screen it usually has all the consoles it will be for, and the 3DS was on that list so….I’m not really sure.

      • theneslink

Scribblenauts Unlimited is for both 3DS and Wii U, but the Mario and Zelda characters are exclusive to Wii U according to Nintendo.

  • Wing Feather

I’ve never actually played ScribbleNauts, but I’m sure this will be great for other Zelda fans that do.

  • Midnafan

I’m not even going to buy this game, i don’t really like scribblenauts. it’s cool that you can do that though. I had a friend play the original, and they made a communist dinosaur. you would think some things have their limits. I wonder if anyone’s found it for these games. -__-

  • Sean Gaffney

    I like Maxwell’s happy dance on 0:29

QUICK! Someone make a Legend of Zelda: the such and such of something joke!

  • littlemissgleek

I was just thinking, what if I could summon professor layton to solve all the puzzles for me?

  • Naga

Im adding that to the list of games I want along with WiiU. I really like scribblenauts remix on my iPod cause you can make just about anything you want-like a giant polka dotted flying fire breathing horse. I even made a green shirt and hat and brown boots and a sword to give to maxwell :). The coolest thing about that game is when you make a goddess it looks a lot like Zelda.

  • Flaming Lemons

I’m on my Wii U’s web browser right now :D I have scribblenauts unlimited and you can even make Sheik, Navi, and TINGLE! and lots of other characters and items!

  • koen

  • andrew brierly

  • andrew brierly

  • itsameluigi1290

WAIT. Why does it say LINK character trailer?

    • Clem

      Because… Link… is in… the trailer…?

      • itsameluigi1290

I know, but they’re saying as if the series is called legend of Link. They didn’t say Zelda character trailer.

  • Omega

  • TrollHylian

What if they put all the brawl characters too?

  • ZeldaFreak240459464896

Hmm, I usually use things like force fields, dragons, hawks, grappling hooks, hover boards, and guns to solve puzzles…. But link? Master sword? Win!

  • Zelda is the Bomb!!!

Dang! I dont have either a 3DS or a WiiU!
