Zelda art is sometimes really good, and sometimes very bland aha.
I don’t even bother with the time line, the only reason it exists is because people who have to classify everything made it up.
I knew about all of those except for Wind Waker II, I would like to hear more about Wind Waker II.
I would suck at the Keaton Quiz, I can’t do the music ones at all aha.

i sent an email for the keaton quiz but got nothing….. i always answer correctly. but i guess no one will see my awesomeness.

    • Dinandrish

You have to post in the thread about participating in the Keaton Quiz. Anyone who had sent E-mail before did not get a reply until their turn came up, because I was getting TONS of requests, and with school and work did not have a ton of time to reply to each and every one.

I just listened to your podcast (great job by the way) and I just wanted to share my opinion to you. I believe that a Zelda game only counts if it is a big deal. I don’t think Link needs to be in it, I don’t think it needs to be made Solely by Nintendo, and it has nothing to do with whether the title is “The Legend of Zelda” or not. For example, if Nintendo’s Zelda Wii U game was about the beginning of Termina and Majora’s birth, and it didn’t have Link or Zelda in it, and the game was called “Majora’s Birth”, then I think it would fit in the timeline because it would be advertised a lot and one of the main purposes of it being made is to give insight on Majora’s Mask, so it would make sense to put that in the timeline, because it has relevance to Zelda lore and is a big deal. However, if Nintendo made a cereal brand and in a commercial for it, it shows Link slaying Ganon and jumping out of the TV screen to eat a bowl of Octorok Flakes, that doesn’t really mean that at some point in time, one of the many Hero’s of Times actually jumped out of a TV just to eat cereal, it was just an advertisement. I felt the same sense of confusion with Avatar: The Last Airbender. I saw a commercial that was basically something to raise awareness to kids having adult super-vision before swimming, and it showed Aang and the gang swimming with Iroh watching them. I was confused because I knew this couldn’t have possibly happened, because Aang doesn’t need supervision to go swimming, but then I realized it was just a dumb ad, it wasn’t important at all, so it didn’t NEED to fit anywhere. This is why The Minish Cap fits and Faces of Evil does not fit, because Nintendo gave more money to Capcom, gave them more to work with, and the story of the game actually mattered. (Also it doesn’t hurt that the game was good.) Faces of Evil makes no sense in terms of story, and you can tell that Nintendo didn’t care AT ALL about the games or their development, it was just some business transaction that they probably regret doing, and Nintendo doesn’t make a big deal about it because the game sucked and it never mattered in the long run. Great Podcast, I look forward to hearing from you again soon :D

    • Colonel-Majora

Thanks, ruler, for the insight. I guess that, yeah, something small like that cereal thing (funny as it is) should not really be counted, but you know, if it’s an adventure involving zelda characters, then it must have happened somewhere on the timeline. I mean, they happened at SOME time, right? I just think they should all be mentioned.

  • TheLinkGanon

Hey din hey rishian, I just listened to the podcast and something that crossed my mind after hearing the Keaton quiz is that (if you do this) if instead of having random contestants we have you two playing and having colonalmajora or xinnamon reading the questions out to you. Also instead of having 10 questions we have 20 only for the fact that you two are the hosts. Please answer back and tell me whether or not that this idea may work because I would like to see how much you two REALLY know. Another suggestion that I have is that if possible we have one of you go up against colonalmajora. And steal his throne aka first place in the Keaton quiz.

need…rare…zelda…games…nah, not really. Just need to be good, that’s my opinion

  • linkswagmaster

I think that Rish should do a segment on how some people’s theorys on skyward sword from past podcasts were right and wrong.
