Skyward Sword Glitch – Ghirahim Pulls A Houdini

The Legend of Zelda series is a little famous for having glitches. Some can make the game more fun for the player, but occasionally we come across a few bad eggs. Ocarina of Time being, most notable for having glitches that can completely change the game for a fresh new experience. Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword both have a famous game breaking glitch. It seems another bad glitch has popped up for Skyward Sword and while it isn’t considered game breaking, it is almost as frustrating and annoying.

While playing Skyward Sword, you may have noticed that in a sticky situation, The Fabulous Ghirahim simply gives a speech and vanishes into thin air only to reappear later and do the exact same thing over again. Well, in this newly found glitch, that is exactly what the self proclaimed Demon Lord does. Only this time you’re stuck in his own little version of Limbo. Youtuber Dane93FailGamer, living up to his user name, has posted a video of this little glitch. It seems during the last battle with Ghirahim, he simply pulls a houdini and is nowhere to be found. During the second phase of this battle and after a few sword slashes, Ghirahim vanishes and leaves Link stranded in Ghirahim Limbo. Worst of all, you are left without your victory and the barriers never come down.

My only guess is that while fighting on the floating arena created by Ghirahim, the ground below is left with some places that haven’t fully rendered and Ghirahim simply falls through the missing space and is stuck beneath the ground. That’s a pretty funny glitch, but i’d be pissed if it happened to me that late in the game.

    I collected the last 8 pieces of heart in Twilight Princess, then I went and fought Ganondorf, and I didn’t save before. Had to do it all over again

  When the Gameboy games came for the 3DS I got Minish Cap right? So after playing it and getting to Castor Wilds I let my Grandpa see the game. He was playing it actually not half bad, then he said he was done. He pressed the home button. Turns out I haven’t saved since the Deepwood Shrine. Then I haven’t played Minish Cap since.

I had that glitch happen to me once. I was showing some of my friends when he just disappeared. It didn’t bother me much because I was just doing boss rush mode for fun, but it caught me off guard.

I too came across this glitch. It happened to me while I was in the Thunder Dragon Challenge. I turned of my game after about 30 minutes of trying to find the source.

well that sucks.

i had a terrible glitch in TP. i was fighting a (stalfos?) skeleton, the one where it breaks into pieces and then you have to bomb its remnants. so when i bombed it, the camera zoomed into it as if it was a cutscence and then just froze there, i couldnt move. i had to reset the game and redo a bunch of puzzles (this was in the arbiters grounds)

  Not as bad as Skryim (not to get off topic). The bigger the game the harder it is to debug I guess…
  Edit: I don’t mean this bug specifically, but the number (and frequence) of bugs in skyrim seems to outway skyward sword.

  glitches are common in videogames and i haven’t encountered any glitch in my game, is not bad testing, just a random glitch that any game could have, at least is not as bad as skyrim random glitch party

lol you did everything except what I did… Take the bomb, set it on the ground to ignite it, then pick it back up and time it to blow up while in the air in front of the eye.

i didn’t knew zelda was famous for having many glitches, however i haven’t found any glitch in any zelda game i have played, although i know some glitches can by triggered by command

It looks so good on his tv… I have an HDTV and I’m using component cables…and Skyward Sword looks terrible.

  that is because the game was designed with regular def televisions in mind, not HDTVs please blame the Wii not the game.
