Hey guys! We are back, but with a twist. There is going to be some changes to Z-Talk appearing in the next few podcasts. We are going to be transitioning to more community-focused segments on the podcast. We are still going to talk about Zelda of course! However, the podcast will now be a little more focused on all our listeners and the Zelda Dungeon community. Listen to the introduction for more details.

  They were! For me not necessarily the music questions, but almost all in general. I guessed on a few and got them right, but that isn’t my point. My point is that that they were really tough! Though it was a good challenge it may be bad if Mases doesn’t remember them! By the way I like YOUR walkthroughs. I still like Caleb’s, but yours are better!

    For pure fun I watched the entire Skyward Sword walkthrough. I loled in the Ancient Cistern; ‘I don’t know why I couldn’t pull down that switch!’ I also recall Caleb’s Shadow Temple walkthrough, in the room with the Boss Key, ‘and I suggest you panic; aaahhhhh! actually, just use Din’s Fire!’

  I’m gonna call out Rish on this and set the record straight. The reaction time of the sword swings is not late at all. The timing is perfectly accurate. The only way what you’re saying could be true is if you’re playing on an HD TV, which causes lag in everything in video games. It could also be that you’re not reacting fast enough. I don’t know exactly what it is, but I can assure you it’s not the Wii MotionPlus. The Motion+ controls are perfect in every aspect. They have no accuracy problems and have no lag whatsoever. Rarely have I heard anyone say otherwise, so that should be a red flag for that kind of statement. Not trying to harp on you, Rish, just letting you (and everyone else) know that the Wii MotionPlus has no problemts at all.

    You can’t make a statement like saying that something has ABSOLUTELY no problem whatsoever. You can say that you have never experienced a problem like that, and that it is relatively rare, but you cannot say that it never happens. (For example I had an original Xbox 360 which never died for me, I couldn’t say that they never die, but I could say personally it never happened to me.)
    I have had Din watch while I just swing the sword and there is a slight delay in it sometimes. It could be many factors, but in the end I was just trying to point out that no matter how good something is, there is always room for improvement.
    Wasn’t harping on the controls, in fact I love them and they are quite responsive most of the time! Just once in a blue moon, then I reclaibrate and away I go.

  I want to send in a voice question to the mail bag but I don’t know what record with. Do you have any recommendations for recording equipment ? I have an iPad if there is ahold app or something to record with.

    You can record with pretty much any program, as long as it can put out the audio recording in MP3, MP4, or another common output. I prefer the first two though so I can convert it quickly and easily.

If you go on Zelda Eternity there is a picture of 2 possibly new Zelda games. I don’t know if someone is working on getting it now but i just wanted to tell you guys. (and they said its from a website thats not reliable)

  We have given some thought to this in the past, and we do try to do some discussions, however that being said, it’s very difficult to schedule people to all be together to do a PodCast, as Din and I do it over a period of time rather than several smaller sessions. Because of audio formatting it is also very hard to do it. But we will try to bring more voices to your ears through Z-talk!

I’m not sure I like the idea of the focus of the podcast turning more and more to the forums; coming to the main site itself is a big enough time investment. Still, if it gets you more listeners, then more power to you, right?
Din: Since you admitted to doing the audio work, I would like to ask if you could make the podcast a little louder. It’s hard to hear, even when I have my player on (near-)full volume.Rish: Depending on regional pronunciation preferences, please practice saying “Ocarina” as either “Ah, Corrina” or “Oh, Corrina”. There is only one “R” in Ocarina, so “Orc Corrina” is not an option

  Anyways, we will work on trying to have the PodCast louder. We had some problems this time with some of the admissions having some background noise that we had to clear, which in turn makes the whole PodCast quieter. Rest Assured we will work on that. Thanks for the suggestions!

You guys should preview the hopes and realizations guys segments before you play them, he had several things wrong.

About the timeshift stones, one of the little robots late in the game says “I can’t go outside the area effected by the timeshift stone.” So whatever you may be doing with those things, the little robots are aware of whats going on with them and stuff. And YES, you DO change the future, since skeletons left behind by enemys arn’t there if you bring time backwards and then kill them.

Hopes and realizations is full of incorrect statements.. Here are some errors, but I may have missed some.

Wind Waker

The iron boots were not introduced in wind waker.
Ocarina of time had fire and ice arrows first.
Ocarina of time also had magic armor first: Nayru’s Love.
The hookshot is still in the game and the same as it was in the past.
Hyrule is not in suspended animation.
The man controlling the King of Red Lions flat out states that he was the king of Hyrule in the past.
Tetra did not know she was Zelda.
That guy is nothing like Impa and not Zelda’s guardian.
The Wind Waker is a conductor’s baton. It is nothing like the Ocarina of Time in sound or function.
You do not connect a DS using the Tingle Tuner. The DS did not exist when Wind Waker was made.
There are a couple stores on Windfall Island.

Minish Cap

You should not talk about games you have not played.
It is for GBA- not DS as you originally said.
You contradicted yourself by saying the game is for GBA after incorrectly stating the game is available for DS.

I don’t think this guy should have any more segments on the podcast. I may be being blunt, but he just needs to increase his accuracy. His level of quality is not on par with the rest of the podcast’s.

It is amazing, MajorasOcarina5 achieved the near-impossible, he managed to get pretty much every fact wrong. I was literally slamming my head into my desk as I listened to him…

He REALLY needs to do his research next time, it sounded like he was doing it all from memory with no preparation, also, he needs to pick up the pace, it was one of the most boring segments I’ve ever heard on ZD Podcast.

I don’t like being so negative, but if it continues like this people will just skip the segment!

Holy hell… MajorasOcarina5 needs to get his facts together. That segment was a total disembowelment of the series; almost everything he stated was false. What was that segment even about? “Hopes and Realizations”? The only “hope” he shared with the listener was his desire for a sequel to Wind Waker, with WiiMotionPlus capabilities. As far as “realizations”… He realized that the King of Red Lions was the King of Hyrule. Thank you, Captain Obvious, that fact is stated explicitly within the game. Please do not let this kid on the show again, at least until he grows past 13.

Majoras Ocarina did bad….. we do see the king in WW when tetra becomes zelda and we know he is a the king of red lions…. terrible segment
