Amazing Fan Made Nunchuck

Reddit user alycenwonderland recently posted pics of their own hand painted gold nunchuck with Hylian Crest. Since the official gold nunchuck is only available in Japan through Club Nintendo they have painted their own ordinary white nunchuck to match the limited edition gold Wiimote that was available in North America. Along with the gold cover they also painted an accurate white Hylian Crest on the top of the nunchuck. Jump inside to check out a few pics.

This is a very creative answer to the original gold Wiimote and ordinary nunchuck situation. Even though there are a few gold nunchucks available through Club Nintendo Japan this person took it upon themselves to make one of their own. I especially like the Hylian Crest on the top of it. I actually wish the Club Nintendo one came with something like that. It looks so plain with just the gold color and no detail. I might make my own after seeing this.

    What kind of paint would one use? One that doesn’t peel off easily.

        I don’t think she used paint at all. It looks more like a sticker. I have one just like it on my laptop.

            I’m pretty sure that it is a vinyl sticker, and that it is not painted

      Too much gold is bad.

      Also the wiimote is gold and white so if the nunchuck was completey gold including wires and all. It wouldnt match the wiimote as much

      Because the gold paint would crack and look terrible once you flexed the cord

    That looks amazing!
    I emailed NoA’s Club Nintendo recently about it, and they said they keep requests available to all departments, so… it’s worth emailing in and saying you want the gold nunchuck. :)

    yellowish color… its because they are jealous I like my gold wii mote more
    than them >:3

    Its looks cool! For some reason my computer said no comments posted and I read more ( skimmed a bit) but then all these come through. I like the Numchuk, it could be less gold and match the Wii Remote though.

    It’s great individually, but when you think about it with the gold Wii Remote, it’s not as good then. Just visualize it, and you might see it too.

    looks cool, I’m trying to figure out how to get my white nunchuck open.  The screws look like a phillips head but with 3 prongs or whatever instead of 4.  So idk.

      yup. all controllers after the n64 and the portable systems use the triwing screw. you need a really thin and small flat head to unscrew it but its a bitch. they have them on ebay.

        bought one on amazon for 1 cent, plus 2.98 shipping. ganna be totally worth it.  I prob wont paint the control stick or the buttons and try to find a paint that matches a little better.

    o3o *Runs to the store and gets some gold spray paint and cuts out a Hylian crest stencil.* Oh, I wish. :/ Unfortunately, I’m completely broke, and I don’t think my parents would be to happy about me spray-painting the shower gold after the incident with the pink hairspray and wig for Halloween.
