Official Legend of Zelda Playing Cards

This December, Nintendo will be releasing a deck of Legend of Zelda themed playing cards. Currently they will only be available in Japan, for ¥1,050. There is no word on whether or not they will be available outside of Japan. Each suit will be themed after a different game in the Legend of Zelda series. Spades will be themed after the original Legend of Zelda, Hearts after The Wind Waker, Diamonds after Ocarina of Time and Clubs after the upcoming Skyward Sword. Jump inside to hear my thoughts!

Overall, I love seeing merchandise like this, it’s a cool little collectible that would be a nice addition to a Zelda fans collection. Also, how they’ve themed each suit, to be themed after a different game in the series is pretty awesome. I’m just hoping they will become available to be purchased outside of Japan or online, because they look incredibly awesome.

I word: import. Sure, there's Shipping and Handeling, but WHO CARES?!?
I don't gamble but I'd get these to play other card games. Uno, Old Man (Gannondorf = Old Maid), War, SlapLink, Hylian Rat Screw, the list goes on…
The only reason I shouldn't get these is that I have little siblings that would DESTROY the cards through overuse! (I'm not kidding, it's happened before…). If I hide them, it becomes Search and Destroy.

So if they made Ghirihim the king, then that must mean he's the… MAIN VILLAIN OF SS!!! Cuz if he's not the main villain, wouldn't they have made the main villain the king instead of a minor villain, like they did with Ganon in the Ocarina deck?! I think they might've released a spoiler with this card deck, lol.

well he is the main villain sort of he's just not the last battle/final boss.
I mean a villain you meet several times etc is still more "main villain" than the villain who shows only up at the end even if he's the boss of the main villain.

I'd definitely love to have a deck like this. While I've never really been a fan of themed card decks like these, a Zelda deck certainly makes for a nice piece of eye candy. I guess the only thing us American fans can do is wait and see if such merchandise will make it over here to the states.

Link's gambled his hard-earned rupees in various games before, so I wonder how he'd fare in Blackjack or Poker…
