The Legend of Zelda: 25 Years of Humor

Lately, Nintendo has released a few of these 25 Anniversary Videos. This time, instead of paying tribute to things like music or secrets, Nintendo has taken the time to appreciate the humor that sometimes finds its way into the series. From Darunia dancing to Saria’s song, or Link being scolded for being a cheapskate.

My personal favorite is Link getting whiplash from various characters. Poor Link, always getting kicked around. I’m surprised they didn’t include Link going to the bathroom in Skyward Sword.     Oh god, I loved Link getting whiplash in Phantom Hourglass. Probably my favorite thing about the game.

    Hey, question for video gamers — Can you put normal DS games into a 3DS, or is just 3DS games. Cause I want a 3DS, but I'm worried that my DS games won't work in it. Please help me out of this dilemma!!

      DS games work as well, but still wont be 3D.

      Yes, they will work fine, here are some examples on why its better-
      1. the screen is larger, unless you own a ds xl, so if you have a ds lite, its a bigger screen
      2. the circle pad will work with the ds games, I find it to be a lot better that way
      3. the sound can be louder if you like it that way
      4. Link's awakening… oh wait, what?

      You do have to remember it is Region Locked unlike other DS systems, so if you have, Pokemon Black from Japan fro example it won't work on a 3DS

        Actually the 3DS will play DS games that are from other regions. Just not 3DS games from other regions.

          I have been playing the game like 5 and a half hours, and I just beat the first dungeon.There is so much to do in SS!!

    I love the humor in Zelda. My favorite things shown would be the Linebeck clips and the exploding statue from WW.

    So far, Funniest moments in SS is when the item pouch woman thinks link likes her or how you can pick up a cat and throw it off of skyloft, hit the cat and pick it u while it scrambles in your arm, or throw items at people.

    I remember the THEIF thing….

    I was so annoyed at not being called Link that I played the game file over, just to change my name back!

    And Skyward Sword was the only Zelda game to make me laugh right at the beginning…. Zelda's Loftwing is clumsy!

    Hahah, the Tower of the Gods scene always was my favorite in the Wind Waker XD Poor Toon Link, didn’t know what was gonna happen until it did…and then he was sent blasting off again, until finally going *splat* all over the tower wall.

      I always loved that, I jumped in the well in Kakariko in Ocarina of Time while they were chasing me, and I couldn't get out until they killed me. Not my best idea

    I think the funniest person yet in the Zelda-series is Groose. Groosenator, Grooseland, Legend of Groose. He's such a goofy guy :D

      The last time Grosse showed up for me I was like to bad Zelda isn't around anymore to hear what he was saying, she would of had a thing or two to say about that. LOL!

      (It was after the 3rd temple I don't want to give any spoilers so I am being as vague as possible)

    Wind Waker had a lot of hilarious moments, I wish they included more……How many people like shaking Link to death?

      Round two……FIGHT! Hehehahah, no surprise that Skyward Sword is dominating 80-20 >:D The title is more or less reserved now; the only other title I think may give it a good challenge is Batman: Arkham City……but I still say we shall succeed no matter what! Zelda FTW :D

    There were some of those that I had no idea were supposed to be funny, like when the shopkeeper murders you as punishment for stealing.

    Personally, I think they should have included the bats that think they're punishing you for waking them up by letting you carry more items.
