In a recent interview with games™, Shigeru Miyamoto hinted to the possible inclusion of Zelda Wii Utilizing the Vitality Sensor in the upcoming adventure. The vitality sensor was announced back at E3 2009 but there has been very little information concerning the device since. At the time, the president of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, stated that video games may sound be used as a form of relaxation. Sure, video games are meant to be relaxing in a way, but I’m not quite sure Zelda Wii, with the utilization of the Wii Motion plus is the type of game you’d want to sit back and relax with. Miyamoto had his to say about the Vitality Sensor.
“So maybe you might like to ask me to incorporate the Vitality Sensor into Zelda so that as you become more scared, the enemies become even tougher.”
With both Zelda Wii and the Vitality Sensor likely to be featured at E3 2010, it seems that this will most likely be the next time we get any type of information in regards to either of the two planned items. In my opinion the Miyamoto quote seemed like more of an out of the blue response and there really is no connection between the two items. However, it does make you think outside the box and perhaps the vitality sensor can be used in more interesting ways than originally thought possible.
