well, those merchents on gf isle and bomb island and MaC are actually… gorons in disguize, if you zoom in on their face you can see it under the mask/hat

how about instead of obssesing over if things in zelda can or cant happen or exist why dont we go with the universal answer given in a zelda game (cant remember which) hyrule has air heavily saturated with loose magic energy which allows just about everything to happen gorons are simply piles of rock animated by that magic and there IS one female goron and its also a goron child in MM the goron that wants to see the races is i believe refered to as female. also the reason link can breath underwater with the blue tunic is that the water is also filled with loose magic energy allowing it to converet the water around link into an invisible air bubble nearly skin tight around his body thus allowing him to breath underwater
