A Japanese source known for posting leaked and rumored material about video games, (and being correct more times than not), has posted some information concerning the next Legend of Zelda title for the Nintendo Wii. This was originally found at our affiliate ZeldaInformer, and they translated and made these bullet points.
1.) The game will vary from the dungeon-field-dungeon method we are accustomed too.
2.) You will be able to select right or left handed at the start, and Link will be left or right handed based on your selection.
3.) The gameplay and basic mechanics are complete.
4.) They are currently polishing up the story and Characters.
5.) One of the characters they are working on is an innkeeper in Link’s home village who has a son that looks up to Link.
6.) The girl in the art is not the Master Sword and it appears the Master Sword will not be in the game.
7.) The girls name from the painting could possibly be Adelle, Adella, or Aderu.
8.) She is not with you throughout the game like Ezlo and Midna.
9.) The face in the painting of her is not her real face. It’s not fully elaborated on much, but it does say that it was a place holder concept art piece.
10.) Link’s sword will have several unlockable abilities. Adelle communicates with you through this sword.
11.) There will be horseback combat. Epona will avoid obstacles automatically.
12.) The models for 3 significant characters in the game have been touched up, but no they are not Zelda or Ganondorf. (Google translate gives rough names of Link, Gorons, and Epona)
13.) The idea of this version of Link also being The Hero of Time has been highly considered, and may already be implemented.
14.) Time travel plays a roll in the game.
15.) The game takes place in more then just Hyrule, and may possibly not be Hyrule at all.
A lot of already rumored stuff is mentioned here, but there is also a ton of new things going on. The final point is one that got me thinking. Does the game take place in more than just Hyrule? How big of a universe are we talking here? The idea of a massive, and hopefully useful, overworld area really gets me excited. Only time will tell, but it is just a matter of months before we start hearing some more confirmed information concerning the next Zelda title.

dude the creator of the the game like completely forgot about the important stuff!!! like seriously who in their right mind would ditch the Master Sword and the Triforces of Wisdom, Courage and power !!! seriously those were the things I came to love AND he also might be forgetting about Link. I seriously haven't seen his name set as a default since Twighlight Princess!!!!!!!!!!1
Im probably like the only one here that thinks this but personally ive battled ganon over a hundred times and beat each zelda a bunch of times so i think ganon should get a brake master sword that stinks that its gone and well as long as they keep the bow and arrows im fine but being in a world bigger then hyrule that would be amazing to mix hyrule with termian and the great seas. but i hav confidence that nintendo will make the best game yet.
it sounds awsome the master sword aint gonna be there but at least theres a replacement and unlokabele powers and epona is there

How could you fight Ganondorf, or be the Hero Of Time without the Master Sword!?! It just isn't right. I'm protesting this game. =[

read the nintendo power issue 251: "this game will be a starting point for future sequels to build off of." I doubt any of this "leak" is true. the same article highly considers the girl being the master sword (they will kiss an octorock if she is not) and they are NINTENDO'S OFFICIAL magazine.

Im shocked by some fans lack of perseption. ALL fun final bosses are ganon. Not to say MM wasnt but the FD mask beat him in 2 seconds no exagerating. Why would they remove the games best elements? also SWORDS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN UPGRAEABLE. you get better swords in every game. the same sword system was in MM and WW with the kokiri and master sword so its not new. If Miyamoto gave out the artwork then thats her real face. saying it is stage 1 development concept art is crap. He put it out as the big hype starter this is the image every one will be looking for in the trailer. Its a finished piece. its not "steve", its not a place holder, its official! the inn keeper story was done in TP with collin, and all reports from nintendo tell us we wont find any obvious rehashing, this game is all new, besides that would feel way to close to TP. OK about the girl I have to say i saw the queen of fairys at first, but MIyamoto's no sword refrence and studying her outfit got me on board. think about this: if she isnt the sword why isnt he holding one??? Yeah, how about that? he would have no reson not to have it if it was a physical sword, and if she isnt the sword why wouldnt it be physical? so bedore you belive this "leak" pick it apart like link would a puzzle and you will see the truth.
i liked it when you can choose your sword, shield and clothing options in the OoT. i hope they bring that back
