The third quarter financial reports briefing has been posted online and it gives a hint as to what Nintendo has planned for the coming year. A majority of the report talks about sales figures and also has tons of different software and hardware charts, showcasing the Nintendo Wii, DS, and their competitors. Towards the end of the report there is a brief segment about upcoming software releases. In particular Metroid Other M has been revealed to have a Summer 2010 release date, Super Mario Galaxy 2 will launch later this year, and the Legend of Zelda will be shown off at this years E3.
Super Mario Galaxy 2, a Mario action title in 3D world, will be launched this year. And, we will show the new Zelda title for Wii at this year’s E3.
While Nintendo mentioned both Super Mario Galaxy 2 and the Legend of Zelda, they failed to affirm that Zelda would in fact be launching in 2010, while they did mention this about the next Super Mario title. It seems Nintendo is very confident that the new Metroid and Mario titles will ship this year, but the Legend of Zelda is still a hope for a 2010 release and not something that can be etched in stone.

Can't wait to see how it looks and feels. I hope they can even top E3 2004 reaction. Though now we know it's gonna be there so they kinda lost the element of surprise. Please, let it be wonderful trailer.
If Nintendo needs extra time for Zelda Wii, then by all means, take that extra time. I remember Ocarina of time, and Twilight Princes were both postponed time and again. And they are my two favourites. If they hurry it for the release date, you get what we got with Minish cap, A great game, but not finished. (example in minish cap: the building of the third house for the oracles, wich didn't complete in the game, because the game wasn't completed).

I've heard about that on a text from G4 Mobile Alerts three days ago. It will also share the spotlight with Super Mario Galaxy 2. Like I've said on my blog for those who don't read it, after this, all of the fake rumors are going to start to go away after, but before E3, they're going to rocket high! Then, we have the release in Japan, where everyone leaks the plot, then the English dub comes by, then the rest of the world.
after knowing Nintendo, for a long time, i know they ARE gonna delay the game.
To be Honest, I think Zelda Wii is not going to come this year. Remember Twilight Princess, it got delayed for so long. So I am still happy about SMG2 coming this year. But Zelda Wii probally won't.

nintendo thinks they are doing so good with just selling mario and metriod, but the truth is people are more fans of zelda, pokemon, and other fun stuff because they arent that bad of a game. so nintendo can suck on these little chinnese nuts

It's already been in devopment for over 3 years, twilight princess took only 3 years to make, so if they were to delay it, it will probably be 2011, but my guesses is that they won't even give a release date until they're 100% sure it will come out, so I'm thinking they will say near the end of 2010, zelda wil have a 2011 release date for sure. Then in 2011, they'll give an exact date and follow through, they aren't making the same mistake, they haven't shown any beta stuff so fans are dissapointed because they got rid of a bunch of stuff they could have thrown in, and i think they knew some zelda fans were upset that they kept delaying their game. So nintendo is playig it safe now. good job in that area nintendo!
I am greatly anticipating this one. I hope it takes more use of the Wii's functions than TP did… not to diss TP or anything, it's great, I just hope Its a little more interactive.
Finally! I was getting worried that we'd hav to wait till next year for more news. This is great!! But when is E3?
